I mean what were we expecting really? She committed Treason and still managed to get a top job in the Cabinet. She's obviously well liked by a lot of people in the Tory Party even though she is horrendous.

Imagine a Headteacher explaining to a bullied child’s parents that the bully didn’t realise their child was upset by the constant shouting and swearing and that they were going to keep their position on the anti-bullying student committee and that the teacher who reported the bullying was going to resign.
True story: I once kicked the Chair of our student anti bullying committee off the committee after having to exclude him for bullying. |

Yes this sends a terrible message to victims of bullying around the country.

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest she's getting off scot-free after what happened with Cummings. Clearly as long as they're benefitting Johnson, his cronies can be as immoral as they like and get off scot-free, and ofc. deny they've done any wrongdoing and relay their apologies to the people that 'feel that way'.

She says she's very sorry but didn't honestly believe she was actually hurting anyone or causing them distress. Boris says the matter is now closed.

She must have been shouting too loud and swearing too much to realise that this behaviour upsets people.

Do you reckon she could try the “apology” again but without smirking this time?

What's the point in the civil service code if it can be ignored for political convenience?
She broke the code, she should be sacked. This is exactly the same as what happened with Dominic Cummings, instead of confronting what has happened they lie or bend the rules (that anyone who is not favoured by the Conservative Party would not see the benefit of) and protect them in order to get the outcome that they want. |

Sadly this has all played out as expected - Priti has been proven to have broken ministerial code, Boris says it’s fine, Priti makes a snide “apology” which appeases nobody and basically blames the people she bullied. What a thoroughly repellant being she is. The absolute epitome of all the worst aspects of the Tories.

It’s disgraceful behaviour. Anyone else in the civil service would be disciplined, and from leadership roles well below her grade, would be sacked.

I’m gonna quote this at work if I do anything wrong from now on! The brass neck on the government though once again.... |

It’s funny how this happened on the ‘reset’ week for the Government, as marketed by Laura K, but they’ve just shown themselves to act in the exact same way as when they all backed Cummings.
