BuzzJack Music Forum _ Dance _ RESULTS: Least Favourite Prodigy Single

1st. Breathe (Final, 7 votes - 33.33%)
2nd. No Good (Start The Dance) (Final, 14 votes - 66.67%)
There we have it! Buzzjack's official least, least favourite Prodigy single is 'Breathe'! 
Commiserations to our runner-up, 'No Good (Start The Dance)' which picked up two thirds of the votes in the final round. Released as the second single from second album 'Music For The Jilted Generation' the song became their fourth top 5 single, peaking at #4 and managing 6 weeks in the top 10. Sampling Kelly Charles' 1987 song 'You're No Good For Me' the vocal is repeated over a manic house beat to superb effect. This is definitely in my top 10 of theirs though not quite the cream of the crop but has always remained extremely popular throughout their fanbase and indeed on this very website. The song was in fact the winner of the only other Prodigy-based contest on the forum, the rate of all of their singles. Interestingly the top 3 there are also the top 3 here, albeit with 'Breathe' down in third that time. On this occasion it was not to be denied...!
'Breathe' was the second release from most successful album 'The Fat Of The Land' and became their second UK #1 single following 'Firestarter' earlier that year, spending a fortnight at the top in November & December 1996. It continued the overwhelming momentum the band were carrying at the time and went down as one of their most iconic songs. Throughout the course of this contest I've been mulling over what's my favourite Prodigy single and I genuinely think it has to be 'Breathe' - so on that basis well done Buzzjack for selecting the perfect winner!
A huge thanks to all who have participated & commented in these threads and to Dan for passing on hosting duties to myself. I hope you have all enjoyed the fourth installment of the Dance Forum's least favourite series and hopefully there'll be more to come in the near future

Forgot that was the top 3 of the Prodigy Rate, rightfully so as Breathe/No Good/Out Of Space are all EXCELLENT <3
