Indeed Lewis, I decided there was nothing to lose sending it here after the slight disappointment of the Club Bizarre veto, and it also maintains Buzzjack Mountain's reputation for good quirky entries . It's a pity Rolloland isn't in this semi though!

Indeed, the dancebloc is VERY well represented here!

Only one song in this semi-final that I'd heard prior to the contest ('Moonwalking' as it was in PJSC last month alongside Vulfpeck, both good choices to bring over here) so this will also be a very fresh listen, hooray ~

Some very interesting sounding entries in here that I'm already feeling like I'll not like being unable to vote for! Long song haters who've avoided this semi might be pleased as they've avoided the two 9 minute songs for now. x

Shoutout to Holland-Oats for ensuring straight away that 2019 is not deprived of adding to the count of BJSC entries called 'Ghost' this is our 12th to date (plus 5 called 'Ghosts').

So for those of you who were wondering, this is the musical theatre option of my two "empowering black women" tracks (sorry Burbe, dancehall is on the list for next month though!). It's taken from "SIX: The Musical" which is a Hamilton-style re-imagining of the lives of the six wives of Henry VIII of which my song is Anne of Cleeves' track. It can also be enjoyed with this song as the prelude:

It doesn't matter anyway, in a way it is good to have both versions on offer, and I like both of them, although I prefer the more energetic single version in the YouTube link, which was the version officially promoted as a single I think.

Another fun fact: Taahino and Flynnonda have recycled each other's artists in this contest ;o King No-One a former Flynnonda act while kwassa represented Taahino before under his old name of KYKO (very glad he changed the name as that was always rather dodgy sounding).

Oops I checked all the songs in semi 1 were correct before the voting forms went live and just guessed that meant the semi 2 ones would be too as there were 29 songs in there, shoulda double checked that too! Flop mod

ducky seems to have listed Oscar Enestad in this semi as well, so that'll be the one that's meant to be yours. Lemme quickly alert him. Everything else is as it should be.

I'll put a notice in the OP to make sure no one sends votes until this is fixed, I imagine people aren't voting this early anyway.

Not the best semi ever but it did pick up enough in the second half that I have about 11 songs I'd be happy to vote for (not that I'm voting in this semi anyway).

Hype going out to Alteria, Cowtermont, Land of DW (nice to hear from Ska-P again after them being on your CD Swap, another great track from them) and Medhelnia in particular (although I really wish Medhelnia's was a little bit longer!)

This was the stronger semi for me in terms of highlights, really rooting for some of the tracks here to make it to the final!

Great to see the return of Real Lies *.* And they're still sounding great, this track had passed me by completely.

This semi definitely ended up being the better one for me as well, not a bad semi but there have been better. Semi 1 was the slightly eek one quality wise (beyond my biggest faves).

I'm so happy I got to witness Jade's reaction IRL to hearing 'Get Down' for the first time though. An iconic entry.

The semi wasn’t bad, but it was definitely subpar. I managed to get over 10 songs to vote for which was great but there were still one or two songs where I’m just like “yeah no”.
