N-DUBZ please.
Akon please *.*
HOW IS EMINEM NOT ONE OF THE CHOICES
I just wanna rave about his first two or three albums
"I'm A Freak" sucks and "There Goes My Baby" is equally annoying. I'm all for the use of a generic progressive drop, but if even I say it's too generic, that's saying something ENRIQUE.
21. Dirty Mind (feat. Sam Martin) 5.409090909 (8 high)
22. Feel It (with Three 6 Mafia & Sean Kingston vs. Tiesto) 5.409090909
23. G.D.F.R. (feat. Sage The Gemini & Lookas) 5.409090909
24. Be On You (feat. Ne-Yo) 5.409090909
25. Sweet Spot (feat. Jennifer Lopez) 5.409090909
26. Shone (feat. Pleasure P) 5.409090909
27. Elevator (feat. Timbaland) 5.428571429
28. Tonight Belongs to U (with Jeremih) 5.409090909
29. Run (feat. Redfoo) 5.333333333
30. Hangover (with Taio Cruz) 5.409090909
I actually thought #30, Hangover with Taio Cruz did quite well here so I'm happy for that Cody had complete control over the tying Sweet Spot and Shone, as he gave both their maximum scores, only Sweet Spot a 9 and Shone an 8.5. My least favourite here, GDFR ends at #23 with some guy called Lookas and Sage The Gemeni. I don't really like this because the production sounds too similar to PSY's Hangover (haha, Flo Rida has a song called Hangover here as well ) which I didn't like at all :/ (but his other tracks I love) and the rapping didn't really "suit" him in the track. But clearly it's a moderately favourable track from the majority here, so never mind
Feel It is catching #22 collaberating in a dance track with Three 6 Mafia, Sean Kingston and Tiesto it peaked at a considerably shabby #86 in the chart. Again it's not the sort of thing Buzzjack supports so it's good to see it high as #22
Just missing the top 20 is one of his most recent tracks Dirty Mind. Quite good, but nothing special in my eyes (or ears ) do you see a swinging lamp in the video, or something else?
I'm planning to post #11-#20 tomorrow and the top 10 on Sunday. Then if I'm not busy I'll open the next rate
In The Ayer is the only one in that section that's not utter crap, and that's not very good either. Good start to the results!
And G.D.F.R is the only loss in that section Wish that made the top 10, such a jam!
How I Feel low
No major travesties as of yet, but I am incredibly disappointed (not surprised) that 'Tonight Belongs 2 U' isn't in the top 20. WHAT A BANGER. Had it been an actual hit, I think it would be a hell of a lot higher tbh.
#20: Let It Roll
You got me trippin' why our love is old
Come on baby, let the good times roll...
Avg: 5.692307692
It makes you feel good: mdh 10), Taylor, Spadz, Cody (8)
The party gon' stop: Harry (0), UV (2), gavindeejay (4)
This was pretty much the end of the Good Feeling era where I properly enjoyed his samples, as I am not a big fan of How I Feel. It samples Freddie King's "Let the Good Time Roll". It peaked at #17 in the UK.
#19: Goin' In (with Jennifer Lopez)
Tonight feels like we can do anything we like, oh
Tonight feels like the best night of my life...
Avg: 5.833333333
Nothing but the best: Cody (10), Lee, Riser (8)
Put me in a cell: Acidburn (1), mdh (2), mr_aly (4)
Flo Rida features in the J-Lo single Goin' In at #19. It did not reach the UK Chart. Decent listen but not a huge highlight in either artist's career for me.
#18: In the Dark (Remix) (with Dev)
Close my eyes, here you are,
Dance-dance-dancing in the dark...
Avg: 5.916666667
Yeah it’s time for the beauty: Spadz, Cody, Riser (9), Harry, Froot (8)
Girl I can’t see: Lee (-1), Taylor (2), UV (4)
The remix of Dev's #37 peaking single In The Dark features Flo Rida, making it eligible for this rate. And I'm glad it is because it's a bop loving the production and Dev's chorus *.* Flo Rida's effort as a featuring artist here is all but a great addition to further the quality of the song
#17: Club Rocker (with Inna)
You can be my daddy, I feel ecstatic,
Don't worry we can make love automatic...
Avg: 5.944444444
I think I like yo: Acidburn, Joe (8)
I think you're naughty: mdh, Harry (3)
Coming from Inna now, we have Club Rocker. She's got bigger anthems but this is still something I listen to now and then. It also missed the UK Chart.
#16: My House
Welcome to my house, play that music too loud,
Show me what you do now, we don't have to go out...
Avg: 6.384615385
You know that you wanna stay: mdh (11), Cody (9), Spadz, Lee, Riser (8)
That music too loud: UV, Harry (3), Chez (4)
Another very recent track which was in the top 100 iTunes UK quite recently actually. It peaked at #74, not too shabby Again one of those average but great tracks. Flows very well
5 more songs later and then we're doing the top 10 on Sunday hopefully!
Where is Lil Jon's credit in "Goin' In"?
"Whistle" doing surprisingly well
I would like to see an Akon singles rate next, what ever happened to him.
Just 5 today as I've had a busy day (makes a change ) top 5 hopefully tomorrow!
#10: Good Feeling
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, sometimes I get a good feeling, yeah,
I get a feeling that I never never never never had before, no no, I get a good feeling, yeah...
Avg: 6.852941176
Oh, you like that gossip: mdh (11), UV, Taylor, Spadz (10), Cody (9.5), Acidburn, Haus, gavindeejay, Lee, Riser (9)
No more for you: mr_pmt (1), Chez, Joe (2), Iz, Harry (4)
Sampling Etta James' song Something's Got a Hold on Me, is at #10 with Good Feeling. It became his 3rd UK #1 and started his lineup of hits with samples. I'm quite dissapointed this isn't top 5
#9: Sugar (feat. Wynter Gordon)
My lips like sugar, my lips like sugar,
This candy got you sprung, this candy got you sprung...
Avg: 7.033333333
Addicted to her gloss: Cody (11), Acidburn, Riser (10), UV, Lee (9), Spadz (8.5), Chez (8)
I've got a mouth full of cavities: Froot (3), mdh, mr_pmt, Harry (4)
A classic that still sounds as fresh today as back when, although I don't love the Blue (Da Ba Dee) sample remake by Eiffel 65 as much as I used to. The Wynter Gordon choruses are still great though so glad this headed for top 10 here it peaked at a measley #18 in the real charts, but sounds like a top 5 hit that should have been!
#8: Right Round (feat. Ke$ha)
You spin my head right round, right round,
When you go down, when you go down down...
Avg: 7.352941176
Walk out that house with my swagger: UV, Spadz, Cody, Lee, Jonjo (10), mr_pmt, Haus, Harry (9), Riser (8)
Are ya out of control?: Taylor (-1), mdh (2), gavindeejay (4)
Right Round becomes Flo's first ever #1 in the UK. It features Ke$ha and like many of his singles, samples another song, You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) by Dead Or Alive. It's still a great classic and one of my faves from his older discography despite some low scores (and not a single 11 ) this places at #8. Again, this should be at least top 5!
I'm done.
#7: Club Can't Handle Me (feat. David Guetta)
You know I know how, to make em stop and stare as I zone out,
The club can't even handle me right now, watchin' you watchin' me I go all out...
Avg: 7.588235294
Life of the club arrogant like yeah: Spadz, Chez, gavindeejay, Riser (11), Cody, Lee, Jonjo (10), UV, Haus, Froot (8)
It's so ridiculous: mr_pmt, Iz (2), Joe (4)
My favourite of them all finishes at #7. Damn. This fantastic track features credited production from worldwide famous DJ and one of my favourite artists David Guetta. At least it was a big #1 in the UK Charts Nicole Scherzinger actually provides the chorus' vocals but for some reasons she's uncredited here she should have been though as the chorus adds to the awesomeness of the track
#6: Starstruck (with Lady Gaga feat. Space Cowboy)
I'm so starstruck,
Baby cause you blow my heart up...
Avg: 7.633333333
Number one on your playlist: UV, Cody, Haus, Harry (10), Spadz (9.5), mdh, mr_pmt (9), Acidburn, Joe (8)
I think it's goin down: NONE
Just missing the top 5 is one of Buzzjack's favourite artists Lady Gaga with Starstruck. It peaked below the top 100 UK charts but surefire redeems itself here production is catchy and Gaga's vocals flow rather well here Flo's part is a good listen too but not big enough to change my overall opinion on the song.
Yes at all the Club Can't Handle Me love I'm happy with that result simply because #7 is far higher than it placed in the David Guetta rate or the Now rate.
Voted for a Pitbull rate, that'd be a dream come true for me and I've considered hosting one myself, but as long as it happens eventually!
#5: Troublemaker (with Olly Murs)
Why does it feel so good but hurt so bad (oh oh oh),
My mind keeps saying "Run as fast as you can"...
Avg: 8.058823529
You had me hooked again: Taylor, Acidburn (11), Cody, mdh (10),
I know you're no good: Joe (3)
Olly Murs' Troublemaker was #1 for two weeks in the UK. Flo Rida of course features on it, which is quite a rarity for Olly it does fit in very well to the song though! Shame Olly isn't quite up to this standard nowadays though surprised at how much love this song/Olly has got on here tbh!
#4: Where Them Girls At (with David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj)
So many girls in here, where do I begin,
I see this one, I'm 'bout to go in...
Avg: 8.411764706
I swear you're good: Harry (11), UV, Spadz, Cody, Acidburn, gavindeejay, Lee (10), mdh, Haus, Froot, Jonjo (9), TJ, Chez, Joe (8)
No, no, I don't endorse that: mr_pmt (0)
A banger of a track now another David Guetta collab which also features Nicki Minaj. Big tune! #3 is thew highest it reached in the chart though (it might possibly have got to #2 midweek?) definitely sounds like a #1 imo.
#3: Bad Boys (with Alexandra Burke)
Yeah, the bad boys are always catching my eye,
I said the bad boys are always spinning my mind...
Avg: 8.764705882
They're straight up fun for me: Acidburn, Harry (11), UV, Taylor, mr_pmt, Joe, Haus, gavindeejay, Jonjo (10), Lee (9), Spadz, Cody (8.5), mdh, Froot (8)
It feels my heart's divided: Chez (3)
Another #1! This time Alexandra Burke serves as the lead artist. Nice track
The fact 'Where Them Girls At' is that high actually seriously offends me. It's the worst type of useless generic crap, I'll never understand what good could be seen in it.
#2: Higher (with The Saturdays)
So when I speak listen, this is my decision,
And you keep on messing up the words...
Avg: 8.852941176
It's getting hotter, hotter in here: Lee (11), Taylor, Cody, Acidburn, Joe, gavindeejay, Harry, Froot, Jonjo (10), Spadz (9.5), mdh, mr_pmt, Haus (9), Chez, Iz (8)
I'm gon' stay in on my own: UV (0)
It's no surprise to see that The Saturdays are riding high in the results! It's definitely one of their best, although not Flo Rida's. I like his part of course but to see some of his bigger jams lower than this is quite a shame I do really like this though as I did give it a 9.5 It went to #10 on the UK charts, and I believe it to be a big favourite from The Saturdays fans despite its low peak.
and the winner is...
Wild Ones (feat. Sia)
Hey, I heard you were a wild one, oooh,
If I took you home , it'd be a home run, show me how you do...
Avg: 9.117647059
Party rocker, foot-show stopper: Taylor, Joe, Lee, Jonjo (11), Spadz, Cody, Acidburn, Haus, gavindeejay, Harry (10), UV, mdh, Froot (9), Iz, Riser (8)
Got a hangover like too much vodka: mr_pmt (2)
Yes! this was very nearly my 11 as I wanted to give support to what I expected would have a lack of for, I Cry. Fantastic use of Sia's vocals here and the production is epic why this only reached #4 (Even I Cry peaked a place higher at #3) I'll never know
Below are the final results in a spreadsheet! Below average are the average scores each member has rated and the averages at the right are what each song has recieved
As there is a tie for who is next, I will be deciding who is next to rate coming up soon!
Oh that top 5 is incredibly disappointing except for the winner. Thank goodness it's an actual Flo Rida song winning and not just a feature.
