FB :

Pledgers! I’m so excited to finally give you guys a first look at my album cover and reveal the title: ‘Closer’.

I’m currently working on a really special deluxe edition of the album with lots of additional tracks not found on the standard CD or download. I didn’t get to finish recording before rehearsals started for War of The Worlds so I'm heading back into the studio in January, which means that sadly the album will now be out on 13 April 2015. Everything else will carry on as usual, except the video shoot will now be in January and the Album Playback Party will be in March.

Sorry it’s going to be a little longer wait but I hope it will all be worthwhile when you hear the new music.

With love, Shayne x

This won't do anything but I have a soft spot for him. Will definitely be downloading the album!

I've got all of his first three albums. They are all quite good. I've pre-ordered the deluxe edition of this too. He won't do well though.

The tracks sound ok but the standard edition isn't very long at only just over 30 minutes. I thought he was coming back with more of a dancier album but most of the tracks are ballads and his voice doesn't sound as strong compared with his earlier stuff.

Would appear to be a 50/50 split with upbeat tracks and ballads. Shayne's voice IMO suits ballads the best. Pleased that Mike Stock has produced this album and hoping that it has some success. Wonder what sort of promo it will get!

His voice totally fine to me, certainly not any worse than it has been, if anything it's gotten better.

He was also very hot during his short-lived 'Obsession' album era. kink.gif

I'm surprised the label didn't go further with the 'Breathless' album considering it sold very well - it sold over 400,000 copies in just two months on sale. The gap between that album and his 2010 comeback was too long.

Shayne had so much potential, i never understood where it all went so wrong for him or why Syco lost interest as his singles and albums were doing, the huge gap for album three was hugely damaging.

I think the problem is Syco moves onto the next big thing from x factor so quickly and hence the focus is lost on the previous winner before they can become properly established. Shayne did quite well with her first two albums considering he only had two or three decent sized hits but there was a considerable gap with the third album and by that time the momentum was lost and he was largely forgotten by the general public.
