Girls Aloud To Reform For 2012 World Tour?

QUOTE
Girls Aloud are allegedly planning to cash-in on member Cheryl Cole's solo success by planning a world tour when she cracks America.
According to the Daily Star, Chezza, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh are said to be gearing up for the girlband's 10th anniversary next year, and want to tour the globe to celebrate the milestone.

Sources close to the group claim that GA would be back in 2012 after Cheryl makes her rumoured debut as a judge on the US version of The X Factor.

I would LOVE it! Even if there isn't a reunion for an album, a tour would be great!

They aren't successful worldwide so a world tour would be ridiculous. A UK tour yes, a few dates in Europe perhaps, but there is no need at all to return with a world tour. You ain't the Spice Girls!

I agree with Slick, even if they're saying that they'll be using Cheryl's success to tour worldwide, it's not as if she's had a big enough success overseas, plus most places wouldn't even know the rest of the girls!

If Cheryl though hits the big time in the USA she will be a global star. I guess that is what they were referring too.

She won't become a "global star" overnight even if she manages to get a couple of big hits in the US. She wouldn't manage her OWN tour in 2012, let alone one with a band no one in the US has heard of. This whole thing sounds fabricated or misquoted to me.

If they came to the US i'd freak! im sure they'd love to do a show in New York, they probably wouldnt be able to do a huge venue like MSG, but they could def do a nicely sized one. And you'd be surprised at how many people in the US know of them. Ive seen quite a few artists from the UK/Europe play in the city at sold out venues, (VV Brown, Little Boots, Alphabeat etc.) granted they weren't huge venues but still, hell robyn sold out radio city earlier this month, and she hasnt had any mainstream success here since the early 90's. If Cheryl's profile does get a boost surely they'll be able to do something.

Would love a new tour/reunion in 2012 but not getting my hopes up.

Really hope we get at least 1 more studio album and greatest hits rather than just a GH's and a tour ala Spice Girls.

Kimberley Walsh has dismissed reports that Girls Aloud will reform for a tour next year.

It was recently claimed that the group, who began a year-long hiatus in 2009, would reunite for a world tour to celebrate their 10th anniversary in 2012.

However, writing in OK! magazine Walsh stated: "There are lots of reports that Girls Aloud are planning to tour again next year. I'm sorry to say this isn't true but we'd love to tour again at some point."

Walsh previously admitted that a reunion would be "difficult" to organise but said that she hoped it would happen "soon".

The group's future continues to remain in doubt as Cheryl Cole's position on The X Factor USA remains unconfirmed.
