... Sound of the Underground!
Thanks to all of the voters who took part in this survivor! I hope you have enjoyed reminiscing about Girls Aloud's debut album. Sound of the Underground, Girls Aloud's debut single and the biggest hit of their career, is certainly a fitting winner! Their second single No Good Advice put up a good fight, just 5 votes separate them. Two incredible pop songs. Winner: Sound of the Underground [Final - 16 votes out of 27] Runner-up: No Good Advice [Final - 11 votes out of 27] 03rd: Jump [Round 9 - 15 votes out of 22] 04th: Life Got Cold [Round 8 - 11 votes out of 27 (tied with Jump) | Round 8.5 - 10 votes (first to 10)] 05th: Girls Allowed [Round 7 - 20 points] 06th: Some Kind of Miracle [Round 6 - 6 votes out of 17] 07th: White Lies [Round 5 - 8 votes out of 17] 08th: All I Need (All I Don't) [Round 4 - 8 votes out of 17] 09th: You Freak Me Out [Round 4 - 10 votes out of 17] 10th: Love/Hate [Round 3 - 9 votes out of 18] 11th: Girls on Film [Round 3 - 10 votes out of 18] 12th: Stop [Round 3 - 11 votes out of 18] =13th: Don't Want You Back [Round 2 - 7 votes out of 16] =13th: Mars Attack [Round 2 - 7 votes out of 16] 15th: Boogie Down Love [Round 2 - 10 votes out of 16] 16th: Forever and a Night [Round 1 - 8 votes out of 15] 17th: Love Bomb [Round 1 - 9 votes out of 15] 18th: Everything You Ever Wanted [Round 1 - 10 votes out of 15] |

I’m surprised ‘No Good Advice’ put up a good fight as I thought ‘Sound of the Underground’ would walk it, but fair play to it! It was a tough job following up such a massive debut but I think they nailed it tbf.
As I said before, I’ve had a few songs place as my favourite Girls Aloud single over the years but I feel like ‘SOTU’ has settled as my favourite now. I just can’t tire of it and the alternative vocal mix released this year has made me love the song even more. |

I can't deny 'Sound of the Underground', it's a flawless pop song. But they bettered it for me with 'No Good Advice' from the moment I heard it!
