It really was a great show wasn't it?! So glad you had a great time too! smile.gif

Love how everyone was cheering loudly for Siobhan when it was her parts!

I really wondered how well she would be received but it was amazing! She absolutely shone on Overload… well she shone loads but Overload was such a standout for me!

Rewatching stuff from Edinburgh and other clips on YouTube from this year and controversh opinion Time because 1.0 sound better on AYN than 3.0 ever did live 👀👀 their voices just blend so organically and naturally and that just elevates everything.

Did a back to back this morning of the Capital FM sessions (one of 3.0s final appearances but also one of their best - TYFTH from this sesh is a Keisha masterclass) and tour videos of AYN. The live harmony on the chorus finally exists and it is sensational. Siobhan slays (I mean she hasn’t meet a post-One Touch track she doesn’t slay) and well Mutya isn’t human she is clearly a demigod and we all have no choice but to worship at the temple of that sublime vocal.

Wasn’t sure how I felt about them doing AYN at all before Saturday. I know it’s their biggest biggest hit with the locals and thus they can’t just like ignore it on a comeback tour like this or in summer festival sets. But I was a bit ick - mainly from memories of 3.0 absolutely butchering Overload - and was a bit feart that this would happen again or god forbid it could even be like 4.0 attempting Freak which was a f***ing war crime. But they just smashed it out the atmosphere.

I was first and foremost a 2.0 fan but I converted a while back because this, THIS, is how the Sugababes are supposed to sound. That flawless harmony, the way their vocals blend and compliments just so naturally and without studio trickery or forcing it is just pure magic. I’m not screaming for re-recorded tracks (I wouldn’t say no…) because the magic is best experienced live. The studios give us our memories and that warm fuzzies and 1.0 killing it live doesn’t take away whatever that original studio means to you (I will literally cut a bitch that comes between me and Three or me and Stronger when I am going through a moment) and we can still appreciate and love the studios and celebrate what they mean to us and did for us while acknowledging that 1.0 are peerless live and they have magic harmonies that just could make signing a phonebook unreal

I would love for them to release a live EP. Like you, I am not anticipating re-recorded tracks, yet I would love to listen to some of the songs with Siobhan and I think it works best in a live setting.

i think venues are overcapaciting at the moment... i was at Brixton on Saturday and it was the busiest i've ever seen it and i used to full time gig write and often was at Brixton

Ahhhh almost time to do this all again. Was central last time and I’m tempted to go for stage left this time to be in front of Keisha for Stronger because that is the best moment of the show for me. Will see what if any barrier space I can steal this time from the normal queue

A live EP would be amazing. They really should because they’re just so incredible live

Ahhhhhhhh they were amazing again. I managed to land a copy of the setlist

Just waiting with a few folks at the stage door the bow. Let’s see if they’ll do an adhoc free M&G

Like that can’t just be about a few summer dates so we have got to at long f***ing last be getting music.

Why else would they have revived Today and played it all year

Yeah, there MUST be something surely!

I'm thinking maybe first half of the year busy in the studio, summer single!

2nd single in October/November and album out in the first quarter of 2024 and a tour in 2024.

Okay maybe that is me dreaming tongue.gif I just can't see them doing another tour so quickly next year.

I think they're probably releasing Today in the new year considering how they've pushed it on tour/summer shows. It wouldn't surprise me if they go with revamped MKS tracks and we'll get an announcement of formats soon-ish.

Exciting to hear that next year is packed for them. Surely that’s got to be good for an album!
