Looks like a 7th week at #1 for Ed & Justin, but Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello's duet Senorita is set to make a big debut. Stormzy's newest track Crown is among the new releases, along with Lil Nas X, Gerry Cinnamon, Nicki Minaj and more
Open race in the album chart, with Lewis Capaldi and Bruce Springsteen in contention, and Will Young looking score his fifth #1 with Lexicon. New releases include Mark Ronson's Late Night Feelings, The Raconteurs' return after 11 years with Help Us Stranger, Two Door Cinema Club's False Alarm, Hot Chip's A Bath Full of Ecstasy and Prince's Originals

I'm also going to predict Katy Perry climbing to #11 this week and frustratingly peaking there.
Can't really blame anyone for losing count, but if Ed & Justin are #1 again this week it will be for a 7th week, not a 6th.
Really hope Katy can nab a top 10 this week.
thinking Señorita will be in at #2 and Katy will finally go low top 10
Really hope Will can score a #1 album
Hope polo g get in this week top 40 this week
Zara Larson been do ok on Apple Music maybe low end top 100
Madonna set for a big drop in album. I wonder if she can stay T20?
I think Madonna will end the week between 9-12.
I’m hoping that the album can get some sort of longevity in the lower ends of the top 40 though.
We’re getting some new videos soon so that could help her out.
Lots of interesting albums debuting, Madge might drop out of top ten but with ok-ish sales I believe.
but bare in mind it's mainly streams that cushion the fall in week 2 and Madonna is sadly doing nothing on streams
Madonna will be just outside the Top 10 i think for this week.
Shawn and Camila are number 2 on Spotify, number 3 on AM and will have tons of streams from the video, selling really well also... I can see them hitting number 1 this week.
kworb doesn't have them in the top 20 on youtube for neither Friday nor Saturday,
which I find hard to believe
https://kworb.net/youtube/insights/uk_daily.html
I wish Katy had reduced to 59p this week
Will Young is #1 in albums, Two Door Cinema Club is #3, Ronson #5
in singles #2 Senorita, #4 Stormzy - Crown
from the occ website news section
Amazing news for Will Young!
I was hoping for No.1 but realistically thinking top 5-10 would be more likely after four years away.
Would like to see sales to see how close it is...he may end up No.2 in the end, that would still be brilliant. He may be front loaded by pre-orders though, I've bought the CD, cassette and vinyl not to mention streaming the songs all the time so trying to do what I can, still No.1 on iTunes and No.3 on Amazon.
Sooo well deserved though - well done WILL .
I’m shook at TDCC being top three & above Ronson, I hope they can keep it up!
Madonna thus far No12 today
Looks like Will Young has a VERY good chance of being no1 on Friday. Lewis so far is at no4 (non-mover)
I hope FUA can actually re-preak. I can’t be doing with it stalling at #41
was expecting Mark Ronson to be fighting for #1, pretty disappointing after all the promo and singles
I was worried he'd break his top 2 studio album record this time round, but seems he's in good stead to keep it even if he drops to No.2.
1 From Now On

Impressive!
Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber’s I Don’t Care is set for a seventh week at Number 1, currently leading Shawn and Camila by 2,500 combined sales
^per the occ news page
Will Young sales anyone:?
Until a chart mod is available
With 11,412 sales so far, the track is one place behind the rapper’s former No.1 Vossi Bop, which places at No.3 with 13,193 sales. Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber are at No.1 with I Don’t Care (21,112 sales), while Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello are at No.2 with Señorita. Sheeran’s Chance The Rapper/PNB Rock collaboration Cross Me (11,370 sales) completes the Top 5.
Will Young leads the way as a host of new releases enter the albums chart. The singer is in top spot with Lexicon (10,417 sales), ahead of Bruce Springsteen’s Western Stars (7,298 sales). Two Door Cinema Club’s False Alarm (7,234 sales) is at No.3, two spots ahead of Mark Ronson’s new release Late Night Feelings (6,003 sales). Lewis Capaldi’s Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent (6,737 sales) is at No.4.

'Cross Me' coming to climb into the top 5, good to see. I really wish that was the song that had the success of 'I Don't Care' but at least it's showing pretty solid longevity so far.
Mark Ronson & Camila Cabello are number 41 again
I can see a Stormzy Top 2 next week with the Glasto effect.

think Lewis should catch Will Young sadly
Awww hope Will can hold on to the number 1
Lewis is probably #1 on albums as Will is likely to be very frontloaded.
Madge at #12 is not too bad, might be somewhere there on Friday overtaking Hollywood Vampires (and The Raconteurs perhaps) but losing to some streaming heavy albums.
Amazing lead for Will, 3k! Really pleased for him. So deserved
Will Young was so smart to push back his album a week!!
Though Freddie Mercury Would been top 90 to 81 only got in at 100
So pleased for Will Young and he looks likely likely to retain his pole position.
Big drop for the Spice Girls Greatest Hits this week.
Pretty underwhelming sales for the new albums including Two Door/Will Young/Mark Ronson, wouldn't be surprised if Lewis climbed back to the top spot!
Last week on Monday Lewis was at 10,480 and ended up selling 24,055.
Now he's at 6,737 and if continues the same rate will end up selling 15,500.
So it'll be very close. Does Will have any promo lined up?
Great to see Will Young top of the album chart. Thought he’d be there with higher sales but still pleasing to see
I notice the soundtrack for 'Yesterday', Richard Curtis and Danny Boyle's new film using the music of The Beatles is new at #47 on the album midweeks. It's out in cinemas this weekend (and I can't wait - going to see it on Sunday) so we can expect a big leap for it next week.
😍I am tearing up....17 years from Pop Idol, Will Young is heading for his fifth No.1 album with 'Lexicon' so much for all those naysayers who said he wouldn't last 6 months 😋
Lovely to see Will at #1 but with only 3k lead I can't see him holding the top position, certainly hope so though! I'll be buying my physical copy this week so that's one for him, he really needs more promo lined up, a slot on Graham Norton this weekend just gone would have been good!
Madonna would’ve easily been #1 this week if this was Madame Xs debut
Good to see Will look likely for #1 it’s a good move for him. He pushed this back a week didn’t he? Completely worked in his favour though.
I think P!nk could go top ten again she’s just outside with Hurts 2B Human and she’s currently on tour.
pretty good for TDCC, heading to sell more than their last album did first week
Black Midi in the top 40
Yeah great to see Black Midi there!
Especially as 6 months ago, they hadn't officially released anything!
Anyone able to answer me...
I bought a bundle off his official site
CD CASSETTE and VINYL
Does that count as 1 sale or 3?
I'm just so happy for WILL! 'Scars' on full blast now....
Will Young’s album is such a great return, I’m so pleased to see him at #1 in the midweeks and hope he stays there without underestimating that it will be hard to do with the streaming.
Anyone know where Mabel is ?
Just to calculate a bit further... If Will sells at same pace than Madonna, he'll end up selling 13,740 and most likely lose to Lewis.
I'm not sure Will is necessarily safe for top 2 yet - Bruce Springsteen seems to be holding up relatively well and his sales aren't going to be as frontloaded in the week as Will's are since it's not his first week. Lewis very likely to end up overtaking both.
Lm down to 16 already yikes they wont be top 20 by friday
He will still do better than he would have last week.
Thanks for the Mabel update , mad love isn’t going to make the top 10 !
Got feeling Ed Sheeran cross me number 4 by end week stuck in stormzy sandwich
Really hope Will can keep #1. The £4.99 iTunes price is clearly helping too as he’s still #1 there
Yesterday's update had missing sales from the following: APPLE STRM, HMV, SPOTIFY STRM, YOUTUBE for Sun, AMAZON STRM for Sat, Sun.
Not sure of interest, but the biggest daily albums (Sunday) was the following;
1) DIVINELY UNINSPIRED TO A HELLISH EXTENT
2 )WESTERN STARS
3) LATE NIGHT FEELINGS
4) WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP WHERE DO WE GO
5) LEXICON
22) MADAME X
Just realised the Prince album is ‘only’ #15 - thought he would have easily been Top 10 due to collectors buying the various formats and the fact it seems to have had some decent social media coverage in the run up to release.
^thought the same, the track listing is very good, has all these songs he gave to others like
Nothing Compares 2 U or Manic Monday
Really hope Will holds onto the top 2 and keeps his top 2 studio albums streak.
Amazing for Will Young, I just hope it has some sort of longevity
it's gonna be an interesting chart battle now that Senorita is #1 on Spotify

Disappointing that Will is going to miss out on the #1
Could be Ed & Justin's last week, I'm still convinced Stormzy will have the top 2 singles next week with the Glasto effect this weekend
C'mon Shawnila!!
so IDC doubled its lead over Senorita :/
1 Will Young - Lexicon (12.6k) (+2.2k)
2 Lewis Capaldi - Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent (10.5k) (+3.8k)
3 Bruce Springsteen - Western Stars (9.5k) (+2.2k)
3 Two Door Cinema Club - False Alarm (8.2k) * (+1.5k)
5 Mark Ronson - Late Night Feelings (7.8k) * (+1.8k)
I think Will did well enough to sell another 2k yesterday, better than Madonna. He's most certainly gonna be top 2-3 at the very least so that'll be a success for him, I'd LOVE for him to get No.1 it would be SO ridiculously deserved. He also needs it more than Lewis and Bruce. I'm stunned Lewis is selling what he is selling in week 4.
In the end it seems Will could lose out by 1-2k sales, however he does signings this week and Loose Women so I am still hopeful.
Will Young is showing signs of losing the Number 1 position to Lewis Capaldi
Lewis Capaldi and the Brice Springsteen album have their Number 1 status already so the Number 1 is far more important to Will Young.
'I Don't Care' is like herpes, highly unpleasant and just won't shift!
lol
if Senorita doesn't make it this week, there's hope for next week
but then we have new Ed with Khalid arriving on Friday :/
cannot see Stormzy grabbing the top 2
Is old town road at 7
People slating Ed's song are killing me, same ones calling it a flip after a couple of days on sale. The general public love it, my kids love it, my work colleagues love it...its just a very good pop song. Buzzjack always makes me giggle.
Buzz Jack doesn’t like Ed Sheeran so they were never going to like the song...
Looks like Will Young will just miss out on #1 at this rate, hope his signings help push him forwards a bit!
Hope either Bruce or Lewis make no1 as I think Wills dominant era is over now!
Hope the top 5 break 10k though!
I seem to recall Lewis Capaldi nicking it a few times at the last minute with his streaming over leaders in the mids. Is that right?
Will's really put hard work and effort into making this a great album, I'd like him to get it!
Although I'm not expecting him to.
This is the most tense I have been for album charts since Emma released My Happy Place! Really hope the signings give Will a boost so he sells a few thousand more it could be close.
Will has Brighton HMV signing this evening and Reading HMV tomorrow evening (The signings are at 5.45 so should mean more people are able to attend). No idea what a signing would generate sales wise?! 300 copies? He’s also running a competition if you download the £5 MP3 from his website you get entered in to win a meet & greet, tour tickets, Hotel etc.,
Week 4? This is going to be Capaldi's 6th week in the album chart, it already spent four of those at number one!
Did mark Ronson go to arc did not drop far on Monday update
HMV have just announced on Twitter that Will's Brighton and Reading signings have been cancelled due to scheduling issues.
Dammit. I personally think this may sadly be due to lack of wristbands taken...
Scheduling conflicts, for 3 out of 4 dates are not possible - his schedule would have been checked at the time of confirmation.
No.1 seems less than a sure thing now. ..
Will let the cat out of the bag on Loose Women...he said he was off back home!

Sadly without the signings I think it looks more difficult
Just 800 copies sold for Will yesterday, Lewis Capaldi sold 1.6k. So he outsold him 2:1.
Will still in lead, but not for too long. He could miss out on the No.1 but hundreds or 1k-2k copies, sadly.
Looks like he will exceed our expectations! I think he'll end up doing 15k+ which is not bad at all after four years away. I'd say if he's not Number 1 he looks almost certain to be No.2.
If you want WILL YOUNG to get a No.1 album with 'Lexicon' as he deserves buy and stream as many copies as you can support!
At least it looks like Will could be @2
Bruce is quite far
Boo at Ed extending the lead in singles
Any news on Madame X?
Who knows....the signings could make the difference.
Look like Nicki minaj hang on in there for top 40
Yeah it looks like Will is heading for #2 unless something major changes between now and the end of the chart week. That's still a really good result for a talent show act from nearly 2 decades ago.
A bit surprised that Shawn isn't closing the gap to Ed but I think he'll likely still climb to #1, possibly next week. Hoping that 'Crown' can hang onto the top 5 this week. Also yass at AJ Tracey now being top 20 *.*
I hope FUA can make it into the top 40 this time
Hoping Will’s chat and performance on Loose Women will add a few more sales. Fantastic stripped back performance of My Love.
He’s now on Preston Live tonight which looks to have been arranged while at the ITV studios today and he’s co presenting the Breakfast Show on Magic fm tomorrow & Friday.
Would be delighted if he could hold onto the top spot, making it 5 number 1 albums but he looks good for #2 and will mean all his studio albums have debuted in the top 2. Quite an achievement, considering his route into the business, 17 years into his career with lengthy gaps between albums.
What about Bounce Back (Lmix) ? Thks
Lewis Capaldi hold me while you wait is 6 or 7 today
Is this how you workout the album DNS? So let's say Will Young is easy as his album only came out this week so all streams are counting for this week apart from the two singles which would be neutralised to the average of the other 10. It's handy as they say the most popular 12 songs off the album count, well that's perfect as 'Lexicon' only has 12 songs.
So...JUST ON SPOTIFY
All The Songs 1,050,300 NEUTRALISED to 22,401
My Love 183,812 NEUTRALISED to 22,401
Scars 25,213
Get Me Dancing 22,953
Ground Running 49,064
Dreaming Big 21,160
I Bet You Call 19,214
Forever 21,800
Freedom 17,137
Faithless Love 16,158
Say Anything 15,559
The Way We Were 15,753
Total no. of streams - 224,011
Average no. of streams of the 12 most popular songs excluding the most popular two (the singles): 22,401
So,
The new total no. of streams would be (add them all up)
268,813
so as 1000 streams = 1 sale
that would mean 268 streaming points?
I've wanted to try calculating this for ages but I never found an album I cared to bother for, until now...
Will Young is losing the grip on pole position, i really want him to hold at the top.
Mark Ronson should easily take the 4th position.
Never been a massive Will Young fan bar Who am I......however I have just bought a physical album (first in 6 mo ths) due to this being a bloody masterpiece. Flawless.
Ugh, how can Ed STILL be #1?
f*** off you twat.
It's not his fault he's #1, people are streaming and downloading it
What’s with all the Pink albums?
She's on a UK tour atm
Is The Greatest Showman still in top 10 ?
The Beatles' '1' back in the top 40 again I see! I anticipate that and the 'Yesterday' soundtrack will be top 10 next week
Whoah I just started having to figure out the whole Lewis Capaldi streaming on Spotify...on UK Top 200 ONLY. So his most popular songs (the singles) I won't count as they get neutralised but the other album tracks which are IN the UK Top 200 are Bruises 159,560 and Grace 146,190
So, As an average lets assume the rest are just under these, 120,000-140,000 on average per day.
So 130,000 per song x 10 songs = 1.3 million + 260,000 for the two singles (neutralised) and you have almost 1.5 million streams per day! Even if that figure is wrong he's getting about 1 million streams a day which is believe giving him at least 1000 streaming points PER day. This is just his UK data! Globally, it'd be much more! So he gets in addition some CD sales too...say 400-800 and hence you have a situation where he beats the new release steadily through the week.
I don't think Will can even begin to compete on streaming with those figures...So he's in line to keep selling about 1.2k-1.6k a day for the remaining days and Will's best selling days he'd need to at least match that or sell just under to compete...The lead Will has is 1.6k on him at the moment. So there are TWO more days left (Wednesday and Thursday) if Will needs to sell at least 1,000 copies per day to properly stand a chance at getting that No.1, and even then it'll be a close one. I think Will will sell about 15,000. Lewis might add up to 17,000, sadly. But he's done some promoting today. Shame about those cancelled signings but if only 20 people are attending then I can see why they were cancelled...He's doing well No.2 on Amazon now (up from 3), My Love upto No.36 on iTunes, album still No.1 on iTunes, No.1/2 on Digital albums on Amazon.
Keep buying and streaming LEXICON and get WY this no.1!
At the end of the day, a chart position is just a number hidden away on their stats page somewhere.
As long as it's a good album, and sells well enough, that's all that really matters.
How does Will's sales split out to CD, tape, vinyl and streaming?
Gwon Lewis reclaim number 1
If you are a @willyoung fan IMPORTANT!
****BUY and STREAM 'Lexicon' today if you want to get Will to No.1 on the UK Album Charts.
He could beovertaken by Lewis Capaldi, it's so close! You have till Midnight!

You're such a lovable, crazy loyal fan Sajj, which is nice, try and relax though.
I wanted to see at what level the Will Young streaming on Spotify is, especially in comparison to Lewis Capaldi's album tracks all doing about 100k each day in the UK. So I recorded the totals for all his album songs including the singles yesterday and waited for them to update today and have calculated the difference...It'd be interesting also to see which tracks are gathering the most fan replaying...
All The Songs was 1,050,300 now 1,062,907 (Daily increase: 12,607)
My Love was 183,812 now 192,618 (Daily increase: 8,806)
Scars was 25,213 now 29,957 (Daily increase: 4,744)
Get Me Dancing was 22,953 now 27,039 (Daily increase: 4,086)
Ground Running was 49,064 now 58,174 (Daily increase: 9,110)
Dreaming Big was 21,160 now 25,066 (Daily increase: 3,906)
I Bet You Call was 19,214 now 22,694 (Daily increase: 3,480)
Forever was 21,800 now 25,716 (Daily increase: 3,916)
Freedom was 17,137 now 20,248 (Daily increase: 3,111)
Faithless Love was 16,158 now 19,086 (Daily increase: 2,928)
Say Anything was 15,559 now 18,461 (Daily increase: 2,902)
The Way We Were was 15,753 now 18,682 (Daily increase: 2,929)
The most album love seems to be for the first half then second...obviously 'Ground Running' is attracting by far the most streams but it is also on the New Music Friday playlist.
On analysis, the streaming isn't as strong as I'd hoped. The streaming just yesterday for the album would have given on estimation just 33 additional sales! 3k on average...so practically nothing!
The positive is he remains No.2 on Amazon CDs, No.1 on Amazon MP3 album purchases.
iTunes still No.1 on Albums! the £4.99 promotion was genius.
The signings and a £7.99 CD promotion for the album could have helped even more!
I thought streaming on Thursdays didn’t really count towards the chart anyway so there’s no point now?!
the occ doesn't use the real Spotify data x Thursday cos they report it too late, so they use an estimate
^those daily increases for Will's track are tiny, and they're worldwide not UK only
