Give It 2 Me / I'm Addicted - the best songs on their respective albums, shame they are head to head here 04. Heartbeat / Turn Up the Radio 05. Miles Away / Give Me All Your Luvin' 06. She's Not Me / Some Girls 07. Incredible / Superstar - JESUS WEPT 08. Beat Goes On / I Don't Give A 09. Dance 2Night / I'm a Sinner 10. Spanish Lesson / Love Spent 11. Devil Wouldn't Recognise You / Masterpiece - really tough as these are the second best tracks on their respective albums, oops 12. Voices / Falling Free EVEN STEVENS, which is about fair really. Hard Candy is the ''better'' album, in that it's not the sound of an artist who is SPENT as a creative and artistic force in the way MDNA is, though the latter does have a share of great songs, albeit entirely faceless ones. Hard Candy also features the worst song of her career up to this point, however, and even now it's still bottom 3.

Gang Bang 03. Give It 2 Me 04. Heartbeat 05. Miles Away 06. She's Not Me 07. Superstar - weakest songs from both albums 08. Beat Goes On 09. I'm a Sinner 11. Love Spent 11. The hardest for me was deciding which track 8 I preferred - 'Beat Goes On' is one of my favourites from Hard Candy but I've really been liking 'I Don't Give A' upon my relistening of MDNA and ultimately it feels a lot more Madonna. As John highlighted, it's quite coincidental to see similarities between songs when the tracking lists are side by side - the track 3s are largely considered the best; track 7s are among the very worst; the two songs most resembling ballads on each album being at the end. One thing I've noticed is that her voice sounds so much more passionate on MDNA. The production on Hard Candy is instantly recognisable as that of Timbaland and Pharrell, which is usually considered one of the downsides, but it in fact kinda carries the album.
