I don't think there was any doubt as to what would be going out first... 'B-Day Song' is the product of Madonna and M.I.A goofing around in the studio; a happy-clappy, girlish bop, almost reminiscent of Motown girl groups but with naughty innuendo. It's definitely not one to be taken seriously, but it seems most of us consider this utterly foolish and career-threatening rather than fun and harmless. Round 01: B-Day Song (ft. M.I.A) [06/07; 85.71%] |

'Superstar' next for me. Certainly not as offensive as 'B'Day Song' is but I still dislike the sickly "love and warmth" feel of the song. The lyrics are pretty embarrassing - the hook of "ooh la la, you’re my superstar" particularly gets on my nerves" - and to compare the celebrity name-checking to 'Vogue' would be grotesquely offensive.

Ah no, I love 'Some Girls'! It's like the dance answer to 'She's Not Me'.

Y'know, I'm actually the same! I'd still kick the likes of 'Turn Up the Radio' and 'Give Me All Your Luvin'' off the album but I have been known to at least enjoy them for what they are.

I probably won't be far off voting for it. It's a beautiful song and probably the best vocal on the album, but it's just not one I return to like I do a lot of the others.

Apart from 'Beautiful Killer', I'm not really familiar with the bonus tracks, so going for 'Some Girls'
