Below I List Justin Bieber's very impressive 2015/2016 UK Singles Chart Feats. There are a few things that he
has yet to achieve. Despite all of his 2015 & 2016 Singles Chart success, his 'Purpose' Album has yet to reach
No.1 in the UK. It has spent 1 Week at No.2 - so far. Which means that 'Believe', (2012), is his only UK No.1
Album, & that was only No.1 for 1 Week. Nor has he - yet - been able to have the UK No.1 Single & No.1 Album
at the same time.

JUSTIN BIEBER -- CHART FEATS -- (So Far!)

1)... He has had 3 Top 10 Hits for the past 10 Weeks - a UK Chart Record.


2)... He's had 3 Top 5 Hits for 9 Weeks - another UK Chart Record.


3)... He had the No.1 & No.2 Singles for 6 Weeks - another UK Chart Record.


4)... He replaced himself at No.1 on W/E 10th December. Becoming only the 4th Act
to manage that in the Singles Chart. (The Beatles, (1963), John Lennon, (1981), and
Elvis Presley, (2005).


5)... He had the No.1, No.2 & No.3 Singles in the Chart of W/E 14th January 2016.
Becoming the only Act to ever achieve that.


6)... He spent 11 Weeks at No.1 in the 2015 Singles Chart, with Zero No.1 Weeks in the
Album Chart. The last Year that an Act had so many No.1 Singles Weeks with no No.1
Albums Weeks was 1967. That was when Engelbert Humpadinck was at No.1 for 11 Weeks
in the Singles Chart, with 'Release Me', (6 Weeks), and 'The Last Waltz', (5 Weeks). He had
the Top 3 Singles of the Year - and no Act has managed it before or since.


7)... WHAT DO YOU MEAN?

Until now there was only 1 Single that had its first 19 Weeks inside the UK Top 7. That was
'Love Is All Around' by Wet Wet Wet. (1994).

Now What Do You Mean? has broken that Chart Record, by having its 1st 21 Weeks inside the Top 7:,

8)... So now What Do You Mean? has 21 Top 10 Weeks. That is the 8th= most ever. Only 7 Singles
have spent longer in the Top 10, & it is still unclear how many further Top 10 Weeks it will have.


9)... It has had 16 Top 5 Weeks & that is the 9th= most ever.


10)... SORRY

Justin's 'Sorry' has also achieved something.

Its Top 10 'Run' (So Far):,

It has had 8 Weeks at No.2 & only 3 other No.1 Hits have had 8, (or more), Weeks at No.2. (Plus 1 No.2 Hit).

B)... He has achieved it before - for 6 Weeks in 1973.

C)... He is now only the 2nd Artist to have 3 Top 10 Albums, at the same time, in 2 entirely
different Years. The other Artist is Elvis Presley, who had 3 Top 10 Albums, for 2 consecutive
Weeks, in December 1957 & for 1 Week in September 1977. (The Album Chart was only a
Top 5 in 1957, so Elvis had 2 Weeks with 3 Top 5 Albums).


D)... Bowie is the 1st Artist to have 3 Albums in the same Top 10 since Amy Winehouse
in August 2011. She is the only Female to achieve it. (Unless you count the Females in
the George Mitchel Minstrels, who had 3 Top 10 Albums, (3 Weeks), from December
1962 to January 1963).

ELVIS PRESLEY'S IF I CAN DREAM ALBUM

So far it has done this in the UK Top 10:,

12 Top 10 Weeks - all Top 5

1-1-3-2-2-3-2-2-2-2-2-8

He's had so many Top 10 & Top 5 Albums that it is hard to believe that If I Can Dream has
his best UK Top 10 Album Chart 'Run' since the 1960's!

A)... The last time that an Elvis Album spent as many as 12 Weeks in the Top 10 was in 1964 - Kissin' Cousins

Thanks for all of that Colin. Whatever people think of Justin Bieber (and the various changers in chart rules), there are some pretty impressive feats there.

It's interesting to see how well the Elvis album has done too.

Six weeks with three albums in the top ten is quite a feat as well, particularly for a living artist. I suppose that's an advantage in releasing a few albums before finally achieving success!

ABBA GOLD -- THE FIRST ALBUM TO REACH 500 TOP 75 WEEKS

ABBA Gold is at No.74 in the latest UK Top 75. It is its 500th Top 75 Week.

It becomes the 1st Album to reach 500 Weeks in the UK Top 75.

It also has the most Top 100 Weeks - 736.

It really has 738 Top 200 Weeks, but The OCC only have Top 75 Charts for the period of W/E 12th September 1992
to W/E 5th February 1994. The ABBA Gold Album had 2 No.77 Weeks during that period. But, The OCC only have
Top 75's & don't count those 2 Weeks.

Greatest Hits (One) by Queen loses out on 32 Top 100 Weeks for that period. The OCC give it 706 Top 100 Weeks
& 475 Top 75 Weeks. Both Totals are wrong.

1)... The OCC miss out a No.73 Week for it in the early 1980's. So that gives it 476 Top 75 Weeks.

2)... But, they give it 7 Top 75 Weeks too many, as well. In 1994 they mistakenly give it 7 Top 75 Weeks that are for
a Queen Double CD.

3)... So it is really on 469 Top 75 Weeks.

4)... Its Top 100 Weeks are given as 706 by The OCC. But they give it 7 Weeks that it should not have in 1994. That
leaves it with 699 Top 100 Weeks. Add in the Week that they miss out in the early 1980's & we get 700 Top 100 Weeks
for the Queen Album.

5)... On top of this they miss out 32 Weeks of its No.76 to No.100 Positions, between 1992 & 1994. So it should really
have 732 Top 100 Weeks.

ABBA Gold has the 3rd most Top 200 Weeks - 1106.

Only Greatest Hits by Queen, (over 1200 Weeks), & Legend by Bob Marley & The Wailers, (1173 Weeks),
have more Top 200 Weeks than ABBA Gold.
