cher lloyd's american clone. everything about this song ought to be awful; the very clear 'happy' tees, saccharine ('light me up inside like 4th of july') to crass ('U make me hot like an oven') lyrics but the build up through the pre-chorus and the actual chorus itself. all works very well and dr luke is an excellent producer as ever (even if he has been listening to quite a bit kygo...)
38 on us itunes atm. summer hit perhaps? |

I love this, it's just so catchy and upbeat. The "la da di la da da la da da" parts are my favourite.

I love it too, it's so catchy! It's quite summery, I think this could be a huge summer hit It's like something Cher Lloyd would have included on Sticks & Stones but Becky sounds less immature (although I love Cher), and and "la da di la da da" bits are really anthemic.

really chic video and compliments the song's understated melody. the world of popular music can be a funny one and you get occasional curveballs such as this-- songs so obtuse from your taste, so unexpected but end up being one of the best pop songs of the year. it feels so original in the current musical climate and just very HAPPY. sometimes that is all you need for a great summer pop song. |

I just find it very average at the moment, although maybe it will grow with more listens.

Wow, this is really good! So simple but so happy and fun! I hate Becky G as well normally.

I just find it very average at the moment, although maybe it will grow with more listens. I've listened to it a couple more times just now and it is growing on me bit by bit. This is available now on UK iTunes by the way, it has been for a while - currently at #562. |

Superb song with a really complementary video. Jake's assessment is spot on.

the song is no longer available on itunes but is available to pre-order and will be released on the 29th september, so it looks like they're going it a push here now it's a little bit far away considering how long the song has been out but I think it could still do decently if it gets the right support, I imagine capital will pick it up.
