Bulgaria have had quite the turnaround. Since returning to the contest in 2016, they've finished 4th and 2nd respectively. That's better than Sweden! So it comes as no surprise that Bulgaria will once again be selecting their 2018 entry behind closed doors. The entry will be revealed on 12th March, but who would you like to see represent them in Lisbon? Rumours suggest that a previous Bulgarian representative has submitted to the selection.

Gery-Nikol to finally get it tbh (although she screams fan fave 16th place). If it's gonna be a previous entrant then Poli with another absolute banger would be fine by me *.*

(Yaknow I could've SWORN we had a Bulgaria thread already)
I have very high expectations from Bulgaria, if anything you could almost say they were a touch TOO high! Hope they don't disappoint. |

I'd like Azis to have a go. He did backing vocals for Mariana Popova (Let Me Cry in 2006).

The preview tweet described this as a "Dark, modern "silent"/soulful ballad" with "Deep emotions, Very spiritual" and a "Powerful Chorus"
The song should be up at some point tomorrow. |

I applaud! Another high class entry - glossy, well produced, lovely. Not sure how well those vocals gel though?

Not sure what I think on first listen. I don't dislike it, but I don't think it's as instant or good as Poli or Kristian's efforts. However I do think with a few listens I'll be loving it and its darkness.
I do actually wonder if this will make the final from the semi of death? I'd imagine they'll put a hell of a lot into making the performance of it epic though so probably. |

It's professional and slick but I can't say I'm particularly enamoured by it... It's pretty disappointing really

Whoever sings the first bit, their voice is going right through me and really putting me off. It's like a cross between Sam Smith and Rationale:/

I really like it but the vocals together in the second chorus are not working, so baffled how this will sound live. I think there's a chance this could fail to qualify (though not likely) as it carries a high risk that this may now work in execution.

I really like this, however, they will need backup vocalists to balance the chorus out and they should really have one of them taking the lead and doing adlibs on the final chorus to stop it plodding along

HOLY FUCKING SHIT
This is beyond incredible. VI HAR EN VINNARE Unless they bomb the live performance part I REALLY doubt it's not a third consecutive Top 5 for Bulgaria (never thought I'd ever be saying this either, dont worry). |
