Really loving this so far! Episode 1 did kinda throw all sorts of stuff at us but Episode 2 cleared a lot of things up. I'm already more hooked by this than I was Hotel 2 episodes in, I do generally love apocalyptic genres so I was never not going to enjoy this though
A theory on Reddit which I am so digging Langdon is manipulating the survivors to turn on eachother and kill eachother instead of forgiveness and standing together to help all of them survive. Think about it, he was already clear he could take any amount of them, all or some or none. If they all stood by eachother they would all pass. No one had failed the test yet (meaning age or fertility aren't a condition to survival), except Venable who had already failed by betraying all of the survivors to bend to her will. He was just toying with her to think she had a chance. Why wouldn't they want all of them to survive? He's pushing them to kill eachother. That's how the other places were overrrun, overrun by their own selfishness and inhumanity. Not by anything on the outside. I definitely think the Coven witches will come and 'save the day'. Cordelia will have had a vision of the apocalypse as well as the rise of the anti-Christ, leading them to the Murder House where they maybe set free the trapped spirits and prevent Michaels birth? I'm not sure how but I'm loving these theories If the witches do stumble upon this garden of eden (because oh my god there's so much biblical parallels here already) then it'll be interesting to see if Michael can make them turn against each other. Fiona managed to get the other witches to turn against each other easily with the thought of becoming the next Supreme, so I wonder how Michael will do similar.. |

First two episodes are solid (I'm at UK pace), not sure I'm as taken as everyone seems to be but I think it's just taken time to set up the premise etc. and when the Coven lot come in it'll pick up. I think this premise has a lot more scope than Cult, that started off stronger but tailed off so hopefully this builds up instead of peaking early.

Loved episode 5! This series is getting better every week. The only bad episode was episode 2 which was pointless but everything else has been STRONG

LOVE THIS SO MUCH
Could literally talk about this season for hours tbh but I won't I'm really excited for Murder House next week. Every week I tell myself I'm not gonna watch the next episodes promo but then immediately watch it anyway because I have no self control x I've rewatched Hotel this week after not even finishing it when it was first being aired. Honestly such an underrated season by myself included, I was turned off by the thought of Lady Gaga replacing Jessica Lange and vampires running a hotel but there's so much more to it. James Patrick March is seriously an evil being and the way they used him to really show the strength of Michael Langdon, with Michael being the only 'thing' that could scare James, was brilliantly done. edit: Also I disagree about episode 2. It does seem a bit pointless right now considering where the plot has gone (flashbacks etc) but I think when we do come back to the future in the outpost everything that happened there will make a lot of sense. There's no way Timothy and Emily are dead for good after the whole Adam and Eve parallel edit#2: I just read that next weeks episode will be an hour & a half (with ads) *.* This post has been edited by Hexton: 11th October 2018, 05:24 AM |
