A place to discuss any awards that 'Chromatica' or any of its songs are nominated for (and hopefully win)! After a brilliant start to the awards season at the VMAs, where Gaga won 5 awards, 4 for the Chromatica era, let's see if this continues as the year(s) progresses This post has been edited by Jαsє: 24th November 2020, 01:29 PM |

Billboard have posted about 18 artists that could land nominations this year. Gaga is featured:
Lady Gaga: Gaga could land her first album of the year nod in nine years with Chromatica. Gaga's three previous nods in that category were for The Fame (2009), The Fame Monster (2010) and Born This Way (2011). Moreover, Gaga and Ariana Grande could land a record of the year nomination for their smash “Rain on Me,” which entered the Hot 100 at No. 1. It would be the second nod in this category for both artists. Gaga was previously nominated for “Poker Face”; Grande, last year, for “7 Rings.” Paws crossed! |

After the VMA success she is a shoe-in for some Grammy noms, Best Dance Album, Pop Duo or Group at least. AOTY perhaps too, as they have more noms there than in some other categories.

If Chromatica the album is in the dance category I think she could get it. But pop category for the album is tight this year. If she’s in t the pop category I think Taylor stands a strong chance. Album of the year I’d say is between Taylor and The Weeknd as well. Record and song of the year will likely go to Blinding Lights too.
I’m probably feeling most confident of Rain on Me getting a Grammy than anything else this era though but even just nominations would be amazing. |

Yea RoM as a song should be the strongest bet, IF they go to pop with Chromatica. She will most likely win the Dance Album if nominated as Future Nostalgia will surely be in Pop.

This Forbes story writes that Rain on Me is "likely contender" for the Record of the Year at the Grammys
QUOTE The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now,” Roddy Ricch’s “The Box,” Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé’s “Savage,” Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s “Rain on Me,” Post Malone’s “Circles” and Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar” (which I’m betting he and his team choose to submit over “Adore You”) are all likely a lock. There may be one or two of those tunes that don’t make the cut, but beyond that, it would be very surprising to see several of them ignored in this vertical. https://www.forbes.com/sites/hughmcintyre/2...r/#177adc8321a9 |

QUOTE That’s all bound to be reflected at the 2021 Grammys, where Chromatica and “Rain on Me” will likely receive nods in the Big Four categories. Would love to be this sure! https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/...-interview-2020 |

NOOOOOOO they didn't go with Dance album
She wouldn't have had any competition there. Pop Vocal is full of huge smashes (Harry, Dua, Taylor, The Weeknd...) This post has been edited by Sour Candy: 2nd October 2020, 07:56 PM |

Since 2012, only DJs can be nominated in the dance/eletronic categories. Also, Chromatica is a strong candidate for Pop categories and sold more than Future Nostalgia in the US (ww too). |

Ok so then it makes sense. Anyway, Chromatica might be nominated but her chances of winning are zero with that competition.

Ok so then it makes sense. Anyway, Chromatica might be nominated but her chances of winning are zero with that competition. If Joanne Piano has won over smashs like Havana and Better Now, then anything can happen, so don't say that. It's obvious that the lack of promotion of Chromatica during its first 3 months (and even currently) and the lack of a third official single will impact negatively on the academy's vision but now it's her time to sell her stuff because the voters are watching. |

Her performance of Marry The Night at the EMAs is a major favourite of mine - I hope she gets to perform here too |
