Good evening and welcome to the very first Chart Forum edition of Dingbats! Here's everything you need to know:

- Below you will see a collage of 20 picture clues to famous songs. Your job is quite simply to work out which songs these clues relate to.
- Each correct answer is worth ten points. You can, however, get varying scores between 1 and 9 if you give an answer which also fits the clue given, and I promise to be more generous with these points than when I last did this in 2018. No points for just guessing the artist though because the artist has nothing to do with any of the clues.
- An important caveat (and because we're in the Chart Forum) - every song on this list has reached the UK Top 40. As a result, any guesses of non-UK Top 40 hits will result in nul points for that question.
- Please keep Google/OCC/Polyhex etc. searches to a minimum, if you think you know the title then obviously you can check that the song was a Top 40 hit (or that you've got the title right) but please don't search every word imaginable in order to get the answers.

Here's an example round (nicked from the same quiz three years ago) so you know what you're doing:



- The song behind the first clue is Major Lazer - Light It Up. A light and the upper 'it'. Simple. Most of them aren't that simple.
- The song behind the second clue is Coldplay - Hymn For The Weekend. This is an example where you have to ignore all of the irrelevant stuff to find the clue.
- The song behind the third clue is Drake - One Dance, although Martin Jensen - Solo Dance would also get full marks. Calum Scott - Dancing On My Own would get a few points but not too many.
- The song behind the fourth clue is Lukas Graham - 7 Years. Not really put this here for any reason other than the fact that this is their only Top 40 single so there's no point guessing it for every one you don't know.

As with last time a lot of the songs are recent, however I have ended up with quite a range of eras in here thanks to whatever has popped into my head at various points over the last three weeks.

BONUS
Unfortunately there is no running theme for you to guess because that would rely on me being organised enough to think up 20 songs which fit a theme. However there are a few ways to pick up some more points
- First of all, I would like you to guess the clue which got the least correct guesses. Doesn't matter if you don't know it yourself, just give me a number (#1 is top left, #20 is bottom right). 15 bonus points if you get the least, 10 for the second least and 5 for the third least.
- In true strange Pete fashion, I have also hidden another way to get bonus points somewhere for you to find. In fact it's right here. Send me a YouTube video of a song by any Danish artist for a bonus 20 points

Going to have to spend a bit of time doing some head scratching over these before I submit. There are two I think I have got from a first glance but the rest will require some more thinking.

Whilst I remember I'll add now that just because a clue doesn't have an arrow in it, doesn't mean all the information is needed! Didn't want to make it too easy for you all

Entered already as have a busy week ahead.

My lawyer brain is not geared up for these visual rounds haha but tried to come up with a half decent guess for most of them.

Confident on maybe 8 of them.

Some of these are annoying me so much already! I can't work out what that thing is in the image behind London, Paris and Madrid

The ones I've got so far are very clever though, #11 is particularly genius (as well as being a great song )

oh my this looks extremely difficult, I tried a few and after 10 minutes I think I just got 1

is there always just 1 possible answer?

I think he's saying that there's 1 official answer but you can get anything up to maximum points for an alternative answer depending on how well it fits the clue.

I've got 5 now but even that's taken me ages!

I think I'm pretty confident on 8 or 9 now and I've made some guesses for the rest. I know there's some that I'm just not gonna get no matter how long I stare at them so I'm probably just gonna submit my answers later today before I tear my hair out as there's a couple of them that are completely doing my head in

I've sent some answers over! Feeling better about this one than last week, some guesses in there and some I have absolutely no idea on of course but otherwise I think I've got quite a few of them. Some good clues

The very first one was the only one I was able to figure out! Although I have at least two possible answers for it that fit the description so I’m not sure if I should send both answers or just the one that charged “higher”

I am doing so bad at this. I have just two so far.
I can see the connection for some others but no idea of song titles.
I will seriously be entering having answered 10% of them.

Another quick note - I won't be around tomorrow or Monday morning so if you really need it you've probably got until around 5:30pm on Monday to get your answers in!

(and for a bit of encouragement - after 5 sets of answers all bar 3 of the clues now have a correct answer against them )

I am going to enter this, I just need a little more time...

I am confident on 3 of my answers and can make reasonable guesses for a couple more. There are then two more that I have an idea in mind for but there only so many straws I can clutch at so I'm going to have to bite the bullet and accept that I'm just not going to do that well with this one.

It's been interesting though and I can't wait to know the answers.

I've got a lot more of these than I thought I would, and I've just submitted my answers! There's a couple that I'm just not gonna get and another handful that I've made guesses against but in general I think I've done OK in this

Before I stress myself out trying to tot up all the results this evening AND present them I'll say now that the results are probably going to be tomorrow! I'll make sure to post a few intersting insights on here tonight though if I get the time.

A few insights to tease for the restults! (nothing score-wise as I'll inevitably end up changing something and if someone wants to make a realllly late attempt they can)

- 19 of the 20 clues got a correct answer, with 14 getting at least 5 correct guesses.
- The most-guessed incorrect answer recieved 11 guesses.
- There were most certainly a range of weird and wonderful answers in here! (not really an insight but I don't have that much to share whoops )

Just as well, as I was busy watching Harry & Meghan on TV tonight. Looking forward to the results tomorrow - I'm gonna guess that it's number 7 that no one got any points from!

I saw some of it on TV here last night but got bored of all the adverts so read the summary on BBC as it went!

Glad to see there was one answer with no correct ones.

I can try and sneak in some very late answers if you're not planning to start results imminently... (although this is the kind of quiz that really requires devoting a bit of time to so a little annoyed at myself for forgetting about it)
