Thanks for posting! Here are the ones I'd contemplate buying for Christmas:

Walking On Sunshine
The Fault In Our Stars
Begin Again
The Purge: Anarchy
Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes
Guardians Of The Galaxy
One Direction: Where We Are
The Inbetweeners Movie 2

and beyond Christmas:

Lucy
Boyhood
The Riot Club

I haven't actually seen any of these apart from 'Lucy'! I'm not much of a cinema goer really, don't think I've been more than 3 times this year. I have a feeling I'd enjoy those films though.

Thank God that Gone Girl is released (relatively) soon! I thought I saw it down for an April release. I'm so annoyed that I never managed to see it at the cinema despite asking many different people if they'd go with me!

Ahh I see. It's the same thing with Kingsman but the other way 'round. The dvd has a release date whereas the blu ray doesn't. If it's a big film and only one of the formats has a release date, it will usually be released on both. Unfriended and Pitch Perfect 2 have both been scheduled for home video release on 21st September

Inside Out has been scheduled for 23rd November. They should push it back a week to the 30th as there's no major films being released then

Posted by: Jonjo Sep 21 2015, 09:52 PM

What is it up against? I think that'll be the biggest release that week no matter what though so I don't think they'll be bothered too much.

Sales will rise 30th Nov anyway, due to Christmas presents etc...

It is up against Ted 2 and Southpaw. The first Ted was up against Pixar (Brave) on the video chart and won. Wall-E and Brave are the only two Pixar films which failed to top the video chart

Posted by: Jonjo Sep 21 2015, 11:03 PM

But the first 'Ted' was rated, reviewed and was a lot BETTER than the 2nd one. I can't see it being a threat. 'Brave' wasn't breaking records for Pixar. 'Inside Out' has a thousand times the buzz that that film ever did tongue.gif

'Southpaw' maybe could be a potential threat, but in all honesty, that close to Christmas, it's 'Inside Out' to lose I think. But we'll see! ohmy.gif

Entourage (26th October)

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 Oct 2 2015, 12:19 AM

Updated and December now up smile.gif

As it's getting to that point of the year again, what are people thinking about getting for Christmas?

These are the ones I'm thinking about at the moment (and obviously I'll cut down on this list nearer the time tongue.gif ):
Danny Collins (though as present not for myself)
Tomorrowland: A World Beyond
Insidious: Chapter 3
Poltergeist
Amy
Song Of The Sea
Terminator: Genisys
Spy
Hot Pursuit
Trainwreck
The Gift
Sinister 2

Ant-Man (30th November)

Posted by: Hadji Oct 17 2015, 08:09 PM

The Man From UNCLE (7th December)
Mission Impossible 5 (7th December)
Fantastic Four (14th December)
Vacation (14th December)

What films are you thinking of asking for or buying for Christmas?

Posted by: Josh. Nov 15 2015, 09:18 AM

I think I might ask for Inside Out for Christmas, it's definitely going to go down as a classic in our family at least. I might get one or two of Kingsman, Mad Max or Antman too biggrin.gif

It looks like Inside Out is outselling Ted 2 for Sunday's #1 spot on the video chart http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/inside-out-is-set-to-be-this-weeks-biggest-selling-dvd__12397/

Thanks for the update I always rely on your lists for xmas ;-)

Is The Conjuring 2 not out this week now? ... HMV showing it as was and ships within 24 hours but Amazon says within 1-2 months, I not been in town yet so not seen.

I'll mainly be getting films I seen at cinema, The Boss, Ab Fab, Bad Moms but I'm wanting The BFG , Finding Dory and Suicide Squad which I never got round to seeing

Yeah it looks like The Conjuring 2 is out this week! (Amazon says it isn't for some reason but I saw it in Sainsburys today so it's definitely out!)
