If Reggie & Bollie win, they'll be no need for a physical!

I thought you had to spend over £8 on almost any CD and then get Kylie for £5? the HMV deluxe is 13.99 - silly. This is her main selling physical throughout the campaign..... 6th best seller at Tesco..... its helping everything else... She could do with just dropping everything by £1 or £2 to get big volume in the 2 weeks.... but maybe she is happy with staying 18-30 range in this weeks chart. Sorry, got it wrong, Amazon are doing Kylie for £5 when you buy one of a list of about 65 cd's. You're right about the Tesco offer. |

Obviously Adele and Coldplay will be far and away #1 and #2 in the albums, I guess the interesting thing album wise this week is if the X factor final helps Fleur or if she plummets, will it boost Little Mix to its highest weekly sales and if it can help 1D's album recover to top 5.

I would definitely think so. I mean the audience numbers last night were something as awful as 5.9 million, which is so far away from the 13.7 million in 2008, and down way more than 2 million on last years figures.
Ben opened with 214,000 copies last year. I can kind of see an opening of about 120,000-130,000 this year. Maybe it will do more than I think but I can see it being a drastic fall indeed. Seeing as JB is selling around the 113,000 mark, I can see it getting #1 but not by much. |

Tonights figures will be much bigger tho as Adele is on there plus it's the winner being announced, also if Louisa wins she will sell more than Ben as she is more chart friendly! |

As much as I don't like Bieber, here's hoping he can keep x factor from having another dire Christmas Number One.

Yeah but just because Adele is performing doesn't mean that those people tuning in for her are going to buy the winner's single. It's more likely people who follow it are the ones who are going to be purchasing, not fleeting viewers. I would love Louisa to do better than Ben, but the viewing figures and the show's decline into irrelevancy isn't giving me much hope. I think Ben's song last year not being very well known helped him too, and I'm not sure if I can see the same happening this year. |

Yeh you makes some good points, we shall have to wait and see what happens. Maybe next yr record companies will realise they can release singles on Xmas week and do well.

Mint Royale corrected himself: Adele sold that amount in 2 days.

Really hoping Adele can hit 2million on Friday - that'll be 28 days - the timeframe we expect a massive album to hit a million!

So "25" has passed the 1.7 million mark, it's also the 10th biggest album of the decade already.

Amazing. Looks on track to do 500k+ this week then taking into account her X-factor performance tonight. Could she do 600k+ Christmas week?

That's a bit overestimated I think, she's done 55-56k / day Mint Royale said she did 111k on saturday alone, not 111k so far. QUOTE Adele sold another 111,000 copies yesterday. #Christmas Link Edit: Nevermind just seen the correction! This post has been edited by Envoirment: 13th December 2015, 05:13 PM |
