Round 8 'Shout Out to My Ex' becomes the latest victim in our top 10 single survivor. The lead single to what was undoubtedly part 1 of their imperial phase (we are witnessing part 2 now) went on to break so many records and is a triple platinum single with 1,830,000 copies consumed as of 4th Jan 2021. The X Factor 'on air' release was a genius move and the launch performance was an absolute serve (as was the Brits performance) - both below. Reggaetón Lento for me again.
SOTME is incredible. So anthemic and just a powerhouse pop song. Those 2 performances are stellar (although there isn't a full video of the X Factor performance for some reason!)

Meh, I'll always appreciate Shout Out to My Ex for what it is: pop brilliance!
BuzzJack doesn't seem to have much love for their #1s apart from Sweet Melody  You're all really going to send Black Magic out before the Top 10  Anyway, I've voted for DNA. Where are all the DNA voters from last round at?

Reggaeton Lento for me - appreciated that it helped widen their appeal and the video was cute (but not great) but it was still a bit "eh", although it bangs in the right scenario.
not u all hating on the pure pop excellence that is black magic... absolutely sick appreciate that now the songs that are left are all absolute top tier pop songs though but we all know sweet melody is gonna win lol |

DNA. I don't think their performances of it were particularly interesting. *shrugs* I like the middle 8 but the song is just an E.T rip off.
Reggeaton Lento is an absolute bop so I'm shocked it's got so many votes. |
