Pillowtalk is better than any One Direction song I've heard. I can see why he wanted to leave the group - he wanted to grow up. This Alt-R&B vibe is exactly where he should be in music.

I'd say it's more Zayn vs Fast Car for #1

2. Rihanna - Work (feat. Drake)
20. Rihanna - Work (feat. Drake)

Release it on Spotify... Does Tidal streams count for OCC charts?

Yes, but barely anyone uses TIDAL so this won't have much of an effect. She really needs to be out on Spotify to help her chart position (I imagine she's waiting a few weeks to give TIDAL streaming exclusivity and it will eventually be on Spotify)

Lol! Of course the song leans slightly more to R&B than the typical 1D. But at the end of the day it still passes a pop song easily. It's like One Direction with a twist, instead of actual Zayn Malik as a new/progressive artist. It's very clever production choices from them, but it's still not in line with the massive amount of distancing he has done with the band.

Hopefully, combined versions of "Work" will stop Zayn going to #1. Saying that, he'll get it officially and she'll get it on sales

Rubbish, I'm hardly a 1D fan, but they have released far better material than this.

I listened and I don't really think much of it. Louis' voice is really grating and he lets the group down (imo).

As far as boybands go, I definitely think 1D are one of the better ones (and definitely the best of this generation) and they've had some good catchy songs (SOML, NC). But they still fell into the trap of typical boyband lyrics. 'Pillowtalk' has a lot more going for it than any 1D song but I guess it's just a matter of what each person is into. I've already downloaded my copy and I might even purchase the album if it is of the same calibre.

Zayns riding on hype coz of his status of being in one D the song isn't great IMO sounds like one of Chris browns back catalogue from 'run it' days

If only more songs in the chart sounded like 'Run It'. laugh.gif Even though Run It sounded like a carbon-copy of 'Yeah!'.
