I can totally see Barbies being a really scathing take down of plastic women *.* I think it might come sooner than later though, like showing off both sides of the album maybe?

Posted by: Liаm 17th August 2017, 03:01 PM

Omg that sounds amazing, hyped fo that!

Posted by: T Boy 17th August 2017, 03:21 PM

So hyped! I can't wait 2 months for this album tbh.

I've just realised how busy my Autumn is going to be for new albums. As well as Pink, there'll be Anastacia, Stereophonics, the Killers and Maroon 5. My poor bank account.

Posted by: Shaphne 17th August 2017, 03:26 PM

I FEEL YOU TBOY.

Anastacia, Shania Twain. P!nk, Jennifer Lopez, Maroon 5, Stereophonics and possibly Kelly Clarkson drama.gif

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 17th August 2017, 05:53 PM

Interesting approach! Her second singles are usually super serious/emosh.

Posted by: Shaphne 17th August 2017, 06:13 PM

TBF she released a pretty serious song for the first single laugh.gif switching it up

Posted by: troublepink 17th September 2017, 01:35 PM

ET Canada excerpt:

QUOTE
“This time …your voice changes a little bit, too; I think my voice got clearer,” she says, explaining that she thinks her best vocal performance, for new single “You Get My Love,” was during her second pregnancy.

“I think I’ll probably never sing that way again,” she says. “It’s probably the best vocal I’ve done in my life. It’s all down to Jameson,” she jokes. “There wasn’t much room, so it all had to come out.”

Posted by: troublepink 17th September 2017, 01:37 PM

I'm not changing the topic title of this thread yet as we've no official confirmation laugh.gif

Tomorrow I'm releasing the title track to BEAUTIFUL TRAUMA. I wrote the song with a very awesome person @jackantonoff and named the album...After it b/c life is f*cking traumatic. But it's also incredibly beautiful, too. There's a lot of beauty still and beautiful souls. Enjoy 😊

❤️

Is it the second single, or are they just releasing a promo track? unsure.gif

Excited to hear it anyway!

Hmm good question. Since I don't know a lot about how new releases work anymore, I assumed this is being released as the second single, we are due another single around now, and reading Pink's tweet made it sound like a single release (to me anyway), but now after reading your post I'm not so sure! thinking.gif laugh.gif

Posted by: troublepink 28th September 2017, 12:02 PM

Here it is!!

Posted by: troublepink 28th September 2017, 12:08 PM

Ok after two listens....way better than WAU, I'm in loooooove with this wub.gif

Posted by: troublepink 28th September 2017, 12:10 PM

Also, when I shared the link on FB it says "Beautiful Trauma (single)" on the link heart.gif

(sorry for the thousands of separate posts...too excited laugh.gif )

Posted by: HarryEzra 28th September 2017, 12:21 PM

On first listen I like Beautiful Trama but not on the same level as What About Us. I can see it growing, however.

Posted by: Jonjo 28th September 2017, 12:24 PM

Ooh. Much more instant than WAU for me. So much punch and power in the bridge! Loving this.

Posted by: billy. 28th September 2017, 12:45 PM

if this is a single, i'd say it's her best since the 'im not dead' era - so so good!

Posted by: Liаm 28th September 2017, 12:49 PM

This is SO good, instantly better than WAU <3

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 28th September 2017, 01:06 PM

I think it'll grow, the chorus underwhelms me a bit on the first listen. I like the sound of it and it has some great lyrics!

Posted by: Saenerys 28th September 2017, 05:58 PM

Definitely prefer WAU.

Posted by: troublepink 29th September 2017, 06:44 AM

I think this song is a love/hate thing atm? I'm seeing a lot of people saying they're instantly in love with the track, and also seeing people saying the lyrics are cheesy.

I don't think the lyrics are that bad, because they're true. If she had made them up (we were on fire, i slashed your tyres) then yeah that sounds a little bit cheesy, but because that actually happened I think that makes them ok, but unless you know a lot about Pink most may think they're lazy lyrics unsure.gif

Not sure i'm explaining myself well on that, I'll blame that one on lack of sleep laugh.gif

Posted by: liamk97 29th September 2017, 09:42 AM

Ooh I'm really liking this! I agree it's more instant than 'What About Us' - I feel I didn't totally get on board with that; obviously it's a powerful song both vocally and in its message, but as a song itself I don't think it appealed to me as much as I hoped.

'Beautiful Trauma' has something very Christmassy about it - the intro, outro and pre-chorus - so I wouldn't be surprised if this was the second single. I'm definitely backing it!

Posted by: T Boy 1st October 2017, 10:17 AM

Absolutely LOVE this. It's very classic and true to Pink and not in any ways trend chasing. It would be amazing to see a song like this do well in 2017.

The album is less than 2 weeks away! I'm so excited!

Posted by: ᴄᴀɴɴɪ 6th October 2017, 10:13 AM

I only got around to listening to this yesterday and I love it, I think it's a definite grower although I'm not sure if it's better that WAU thinking.gif

Posted by: troublepink 10th November 2017, 01:43 PM

BT has been added to the Radio One playlist. With the track being performed at the AMAs as well, I wonder if they've decided to go with this as the second single instead of Revenge thinking.gif

Posted by: T Boy 11th November 2017, 10:03 AM

That could be a good idea, I could see this being a middling success at the very least and it would definitely help keep the album afloat. Still love this so much.

I also love revenge but the problem is that it doesn’t sound anything like the charts today or like the Pink the GP are used to. Still, she already got a top 40 hit out of it.

Posted by: T Boy 19th November 2017, 12:19 PM

Think I’m becoming obessed with this all over again. Hope it can to well over Christmas and into the new year.

Posted by: troublepink 20th November 2017, 04:08 AM

Music video to be released on 21st November starring Channing Tatum 🤪

Posted by: Juan Carlos 🌴 20th November 2017, 04:51 AM

FYI, this has been confirmed as the next US radio single too.

Posted by: troublepink 20th November 2017, 03:34 PM

So glad they have decided to go with this as a single wub.gif

Posted by: Envoirment 20th November 2017, 07:19 PM

Oo can't wait for the video and glad it's the next US single. biggrin.gif

Such a fun video! It looks like they had a blast shooting this, and it looks SO good!

Posted by: Jonjo 21st November 2017, 08:22 PM

OUTSTANDING!! YES P!NK!!!!

Channing was a great co-star!

Posted by: HarryApa 21st November 2017, 08:50 PM

Such a great video love the concept and how colourful it was

Posted by: T Boy 21st November 2017, 09:39 PM

What an amazing video! Really hoping this can be a hit!

Posted by: ʟɪɴᴅs. 22nd November 2017, 12:25 AM

Hands down one of my fave music videos ever, I'm such a fan of using colour like that, can we get pink on Strictly tbh

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 22nd November 2017, 01:18 AM

That is FANTASTIC!

She truly is the master of the pop video.

Posted by: Liаm 22nd November 2017, 01:48 AM

That video!!! Definitely her best since Please Don't Leave Me wub.gif

Posted by: T Boy 24th November 2017, 08:50 PM

I cannot stop watching this.

Posted by: Parallel Reality 25th November 2017, 07:38 PM

This is so, so good and the song is growing on me too. She knows how to put together a good video - A true pop star of our generation.

Posted by: T Boy 25th November 2017, 08:14 PM

On Radio 1 this morning, Dev mentions how the intro sounds quite Christmassy and I have to admit it does a bit!

Posted by: Regina 24th December 2017, 05:22 PM

Video featuring the gorgeous Channing Tatum

Posted by: Nadolig Llawen! 24th December 2017, 06:02 PM

Still love this to bits. My fave on the album tbh.

Posted by: troublepink 26th December 2017, 09:52 AM

Regina! Good to see you here again wub.gif I instantly thought of you when the video was released, knew you'd love it tongue.gif laugh.gif

Posted by: Regina 26th December 2017, 08:14 PM

Hey Laur wub.gif yeah I love it kink.gif

Posted by: Envoirment 26th December 2017, 10:54 PM

Love this still. Taken a bit of a tumble this week due to Christmas, but now with the Christmas songs finally falling I hope it'll manage to start rising again and go top 20 at least!

Posted by: SGrey 4th March 2018, 08:01 AM

After purchasing the album and listening in full, this has definitely grown on me so much and is definitely up in the top four along with WAU, Barbies and Where We Go. It definitely wasn't as instant as WAU but I'm thoroughly enjoying this at the moment! The video is pleasant to watch with some good choreo as well but I do think the ending with poor Channing Tatum being tied up was a bit random laugh.gif

Posted by: T Boy 4th March 2018, 10:17 AM

I still love this. Such a shame streaming is not Pink’s friend.

Posted by: Tombo 29th March 2018, 04:30 AM

This is such a beautiful song, I heard it a lot on Heart which is how I got into it!

Posted by: T Boy 29th March 2018, 09:38 AM

I agree, I’ve listened a lot recently as it’s on Now 99 and it’s a brilliant song. It’s a shame songs like this just don’t do well commercially anymore.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 29th March 2018, 06:23 PM

I'd consider this a reasonable success, the only reason it didn't go further is because her record label didn't buy a place on the Hot Hits playlist for some bizarre reason.

Posted by: JosephAvery 29th March 2018, 07:54 PM

It was a very big sales hit! Why they didn't get it on Hot Hits UK is beyond me, it would've made the top 15 as a minimum.
