Yes for KDA and Rudimental being added, I want TTML to give Katy her first number one!

Otherwise not that much of interest for me this week!

Posted by: Mango 30th September 2015, 04:58 PM

Absolutely ridiculous that they haven't added Little Mix or Sia yet. It's strange how they treat OA/OS releases from established artists so differently to each other, why not just add them all straightaway, after all OA does mean On Air! unsure.gif

Was also hoping for Petite Meller but hopefully next week.

Posted by: Ryan. 30th September 2015, 04:58 PM

I'm glad to see Foxes getting supported as it means Radio 1 really are being fair to On Air/On Sale releases, nice to see Tori too!

Posted by: Cody Slayberry 30th September 2015, 05:02 PM

An all new C-List!

Aren't they a little late with adding "Hotel" though?

Posted by: LeeWallace 30th September 2015, 05:02 PM

GOD DAMMIT

ADD MNEK :@

Posted by: Chez Wombat 30th September 2015, 05:07 PM

So they're finally actually PLAYING The Hills? I wonder what it is that stopped them all that time before? unsure.gif Perhaps now it's a single they have a clean version for radio. (Great to hear anyway, so much better than Can't Feel My Face <3)

Eliza And The Bear,Foxes, Half Moon Run heart.gif, KDA, Miguel, Rudimental, Tori Kelly, The Weeknd and Frances for me this week heart.gif

Not a fan of Flo Rida thus far this era so Likely wont like this song laugh.gif Not sure yet on The Kid Ink song so will need to hear it more biggrin.gif

Also Wolfie yesssss I havent heard Come Over but I Be Ghost is a tune and a half heart.gif

Posted by: Hazza Chapman 30th September 2015, 05:10 PM

Wow have they moved The Score up to the B list? haven't we heard this song enough on those annoying ASDA adverts?

Posted by: scratchy23 30th September 2015, 05:11 PM

GOODBYE NERO AND MUSE aka the two most over played songs of the last few weeks. Glad 1D have gone too as I was getting really sick of that as well.

Queen of Peace can jolly well f*** off now. It's on every half hour (or so it feels)

Yay for The Hills

Posted by: mr_pmt 30th September 2015, 05:11 PM

Good for Foxes, shame to see Carly off but to be fair they've done all they can for it now.

Waiting to hopefully see Blonde/Karen Harding and ZHU/AlunaGeorge added soon.

Posted by: Ethan 30th September 2015, 05:12 PM

superb addition for kda~ yahoo.gif wub.gif yahoo.gif

good to see flo rida, kid ink, rudimental + the weeknd getting those additions biggrin.gif ~ quite a turnaround for 'the hills', when they refused to play a clean version on the chart show earlier in the year~ ohmy.gif laugh.gif

philip george hitting the a-list at the right moment cheer.gif ~ 'alone no more' needs to smash it HARD next week dance.gif

Posted by: Defaze 30th September 2015, 05:36 PM

Bit of a joke that they've snubbed Little Mix given the addition of Rudimental (and Sam last week), especially considering it's the follow-up to a huge number 1. Hoping they playlist it next week, but R1's support of them has always been a little shoddy.

Posted by: Froot. 30th September 2015, 05:41 PM

Foxes finally being playlisted. heart.gif

Still probably won't do anything but there's still HOPE yet.

Posted by: Juranamo 30th September 2015, 06:05 PM

Radio 1 may not have 'snubbed' Little Mix yet, does anyone know when its impact date is? Take Foxes for example...

Posted by: Josh. 30th September 2015, 06:48 PM

Ah I would've liked a new indie/alt post-album single announcement this week from someone like Everything Everything, The Vaccines or Wolf Alice, with all the new album out at the moment I don't really have time to listen to their albums in full but I still want my fix of stuff.

I'd have liked a new exciting OA/OS release too, maybe it'll be a quiet week in the singles chart.

I didn't even know Half Moon Run had anything coming out though so yay for that, hope it's good.

EDIT: Just realised Give Me a Sign is still on here, feels a bit old already.

Hmm. Their album is out November 6th, right? This playlist goes into effect on October 5th, so it could go:

Oct 12th: C
Oct 19th: B
Oct 26th: B
Nov 2nd: A

I wouldn't consider an A-listing just prior to the release of the album to be particularly unusual - to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they were instructed to playlist it as late as next week so it can have more longevity over Christmas. I'm pretty sure we'll see it playlisted this time next week, so I wouldn't get annoyed at the BBC for not being Little Mix superfans just yet.

Out go FKA Twigs. Shame.

Posted by: mr_pmt 30th September 2015, 07:49 PM

Oh, just noticed Feder is gone too. Shame that never really went anywhere. sad.gif

Same with Duke Dumont. Would of likes that to get Top 40. sad.gif

Posted by: Mango 30th September 2015, 09:14 PM

Yeah, there's no way Little Mix have been 'snubbed' - it's obvious that R1 still don't playlist a lot of OA/OS songs straightaway. It's quite annoying to see these songs enter high, fall down the charts then slowly climb again, but I guess that's where we are for now.

Waiting to hopefully see Blonde/Karen Harding and ZHU/AlunaGeorge added soon.

Surely it's too late for the Blonde song now, given that it was released in the middle of August? It's such a strange snub though.

Loving the new adds for Flo Rida, KDA, Kid Ink, Miguel, Rudimental and The Weeknd!

Still strange to see Nick Brewer staying on the INMWT list, as its doing so well. Great to see them keeping the faith with Stylo G too.

Posted by: liamk97 30th September 2015, 10:42 PM

Given Little Mix and Sia have fantastic new songs out, that's a particularly disappointing list of new adds bar The Weeknd.

From what I've heard, Tori Kelly/ Jeremih's 'Should've Been Us' is like 'Do It Again' (Part 2) - in other words, dated and bland.

Posted by: Jonjo 30th September 2015, 10:46 PM

Tori wub.gif

Not worried for Little Mix at all tbh. They will most certainly be playlisted and I think Umi's right with the possible addition dates. Although it would've been nice for them to have added them in time for next week so they could get some C-List rotation along with the hype of the video's premier on Friday.

Posted by: JosephStyles 30th September 2015, 10:52 PM

Yeah Little Mix and Sia will undoubtedly get playlisted at a later date, it's all down to impact dates I think. Some impact immediately and some don't.

That said, quite annoyed that The Vamps won't have c-list airplay on release week, although that didn't stop Can We Dance doing incredibly well when that got released!

YASSSSS for Tori Kelly also, so glad she's finally getting support here in the UK, she's insanely talented.

Posted by: steve201 30th September 2015, 11:18 PM

The discussion about impact dates is very relevant because they seem to add certain artists straight away and others weeks after the premiere which doesn't really make sense with oaos releases from big artists but is ok for artists which can climb the chart gradually. They seem to go with album release dates as the ultimate impact date hence LM not being added this week as Omi pointed out, although most of these 4th quarter strategies have a huge track for the November release then squeeze in another single release for Xmas week in the hope album sales will be good!

I don't know, it was track of the day recently and both artists' respective last singles were huge hits and loved by Radio 1. I'm still hopeful they will.
