Welcome to the Ultimate Music Video Results. Hopefully everything can go to plan and start at 20:30. I plan to get at least four/five results announced before the end of the day which will be a good accomplishment for me
Whilst you wait, entertain yourself with the UMV 2014 anthem:
WAYWF to flop because the video is so boring
18th Place
Score - 109 points
Average - 4.2
Ouch. Starting this rate we get, yes you got it. Gentleman. No matter how many people came to Gentleman's defense, I think it was safe to say that it was obvious that it was going to be last. Although frankly, myself, this is such a surprise as I would've thought What About Us or WAYWF? would've been last. The overall view towards the video will be shown below in the consensus.
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 42%
(Consensus: Although delivering a new concept to the saturdays' fanbase, the low-budget music video give no justice to this slice of pop/r&b song, showing us cheap thrills and frankly odd storyline)
By Census do you mean Consensus....
The shade in no individual Rochessa shots... Obviously too good for this video and that awful mark. Get it together Buzzjack
You see Tim!?
I fail to see why people would think 'What About Us' or 'What Are You Waiting For' would come last instead of 'Gentleman'... It's not exactly like there was SO MUCH happening in 'Gentleman' either (or in their other videos as well). I mean, seeing them acting like Housewives isn't exactly different from them sitting by the pool, jumping off a fence, dancing in a karaoke bar or on football field... I don't know, one of the good point of the Gentleman's video was that if was funny and full of "gifable" expressions...but '30 Days' managed to do that, first, much better and secondly, without the really awful effects/green screen.
Really? I think everything going on in Gentleman was very Tongue-in-Mouth and made me laugh out loud so many times (Okay maybe not loud as that would be creepy)
Well yeah it was tongue-in-cheek and more or less well executed during the first minute or so. It's great until it hits the 'poker scenes' which are so utterly cringe-worthy it makes me turn my head not to watch my favorite popstars in the world do that. They just really didn't pull that one off.
AND THAT SCENE WHEN THEIR MALE VERSIONS OFFER THEM GIFTS. I CANNOT DEAL.
*Yes I'm watching the video as we speak and I'm cringing as never*
THE EFFECTS!
*cries*
Gentleman was the obvious choice. It's downright embarrassing.
Gentleman is like the turdiest of all turds. Everything about it is turdalicious!
Am I the only one that loves the video? I think it's meant to look cheap and outrageous! I mean the effects seem cheesy if anything but isn't that the whole feel of the video anyway? It's not far my fave!
Hmmm, it would be if you knew they had budget but chose not to use it and therefore this mean they could have made this to leak cheap and outrageous on purpose...But knowing their past videos and their experience with budget and everything, it just seems like they didn't have the money for the concept and effects they wanted to pull off, so the result turned out that way.
I personally believe the concept was good, or at least, part of it.. This whole 'Housewives' thing they had going on. I know the "male counterpart" sounds good on paper, but they just didn't pull it off. You know it was like, put on a tuxedo, pull back your hair, and try to walk like a man. That's it. It didn't feel like it was supposed to be humor or tongue-in-cheek (that part, I mean). In fact, they really seemed like they thought they were rocking it. In that way, it kinda reminds me of the people who cannot sing to save their lives, but goes on X-Factor and gets utterly shocked when the judges say they can't sing because they genuinely believe they do.
They should have hired male (hot) models and objectify the shit out of them, it wouldn't have made the video worse or anything. Oh, they really should have filmed the video on The Desperate Housewives studio as well...
I, for one, love the song, though.
17th Place
Score - 129 points
Average - 4.9
At 17th, you guessed it again, is If This is Love. This along with issues were apparently not good enough to be made gifable, hence, the still images. Unfortunately, this has been reflected by the reception of the fans themselves. Although beating Gentleman by a landslide, If This Is Love remains the girls' least favorite video to date. Although I genuinely liked the concept, it was a decent start for a debut video.
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 49%
(Consensus: Bursting with personality and a decent enough concept, the video remains a non-event which makes the video more or less forgettable in the minds of the fans.)
Shameless advertising... http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=170290&st=20 Beyonce Rate closes tonight.
--
If This Is Love isn't that bad. It was good introductory video and concept.
Oh Rochelle doing the teapot pose, love it
Rochelle looked the best in the ITIL video, not gonna lie
Forget Rochelle... although I love her, but Una with that fringe! Hahaha!
Ooh I quite like the first link! Shiny effects
It's from the remix video I believe!
16th Place
Score - 141 points
Average - 5.2
Towards rock bottom of the competition is Issues with an average of 5.2 and 141 points. Issues was originally slated to be 17th in the competition but as the rate went on, Issues began to see some relatively decent numbers. But even this didn't make up for some very low scores. In my view, Issues is very pleasant but like with If This is Love, it remains much of a non-event. The fire burning bit was a cute scene. Nevertheless, for a ballad in their debut, I don't think they would've been able to have a much better video.
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 52%
(Consensus: The Saturdays deliver a different but perfectly pleasant pop/r&b song with a slightly dull and bland video. What makes it a bit decent however are the girls chemistry with one another and the fact that it was a decent video for a first attempt at having a ballad as a single.)
I would have preferred 'Forever Is Over' out before 'Issues' because 'Issues' got a lot more "beautiful/glamour" scenes, but as long as FIO is next, I don't mind.
I feel like this is going in the right way for now.
Lol 15th Place - All Fired Up
1st Place - Forever is Over
Seems about right
I'm about to cut some bitches left, right and center.
I'm about to cut some bitches left, right and center.
HA!
Lee is exactly the bitch I had in mind
(Jokes, babe, love ya #Wallicane)
Let's be real, though. (imo) Forever is Over, the song? 10/10. The video? Eerm, not so much...
I think the Shopping Window idea is one of their better concepts. It's not totally unique, but it less cliché than their most of their videos. It's really unfortunate that their music isn't really deep, but I'd really like to see more profound videos or a out of the box storyline videos that really captivate or surprise you.
I'm about to cut some bitches left, right and center.
Of course he doesn't, he would do anything to pass some time with me, even sacrificing himself. #Thirsty #YouMightNeedADrank #LemonadeLemonade
(still love ya, lee.)
I actually like the group scenes in the FIO video. The rest not so much...
Totto hush peasant!
I think you guys will be surprised on who is coming next in the rate
The suspense.
Up? 30 Days or What Are You Waiting For? wouldn't be surprising!
ONE VIDEO A DAY ?
AND PEOPLE PRESSURED ME TO DO THE BUZZRATE RESULTS QUICKLY
15th Place
Score - 142 points
Average - 5.4
Unfortunately for Hurricane, Forever is Over is NOT next! Work surprisingly hits 15th place in the rate, garnering some good strong points but also obtaining a few of those gnarly -1s in the process. This held it back in the long-run and only just edged out Issues by one point I quite like the video myself as its very, I dare say, Fierce, and the sparks of light falling was probably their best idea during their chasing lights era for me. But clearly some people found it a bit boring and a non-event.
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 54%
(Consensus: The Saturdays present their 5th music video with charm and personality like always but the video has aged a lot in the minds of the fans and the concept of being in warehouses has been over-done in the music industry)
I think people found it a bit too raunchy. Sad, it's amazinf. WERK GIRLS, SERVE.
Work out before Forever is Over; I am starting to believe Godchelle could exist.
To be fair the hair touching is pretty over the top and unforgivable, however it was one of those videos I watched on repeat after it premiered.
They nailed the dancing for once too as well
Hair touching and posing is their dancing. I watch the dvd with my mum (who was just there) and that was the first thing she noticed in every video.
All Fired Up for top 3, purely because of the Dancing On The Bar $l*t drop.
I love stretch out arms forward clapping very much during Mollie's We're so close to the edge of desire.
I can't believe Work is out so early! It's their hottest video!
14th Place
Score - 142 points
Average - 5.8
Unfortunately for Hurricane, Forever is Over is NOT next! Although 30 Days did bump up the competition by booting up to an average 5.8, it wasn't good enough to overtake the other competition in the rate. That's sad because 30 Days remains one of my favorite sats videos so boo you guys I wanna see Hurricane's reaction to Forever is Over getting a decent score I think the main reason people didn't like it was the ... Hmmm.. Why didn't people like this... #AngryNeil #RevengeSeekingNeil
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 58%
(Consensus: A nice out-of-the-box concept but poorly executed with a hideous panning that makes the video a little thin strip in front of the screen. The music video fails to develop on the concept that was in a way, interesting)
Bye LoveKiller.
OK I think some people have been rating on the songs and not the videos because there is no way '30 Days' is in their bottom 5 videos. No way.
I found it hard to make a consensus cause I love it
lol bye
Haha rude.
My reaction is that I really don't understand what people see in 'Forever Is Over' video that they don't see in videos such as '30 Days' or 'Work'.
I don't like the 30 Days video much personally, I feel like it falls flat, I prefer the song.
Forever Is Over has lots going on; the canteen gets a bit samey, for me anyway.
The 30 Days video is fantastic, people are definitely rating the songs. I don't get the appeal of the Notorious video (watch it be top 3) as I find it pretty boring
The first half of 'Notorious' is amazing, the second half not so much.
30 Days video is so boring and cheaptastic. They could've at least hired some nice Central London diner. Not a cheap place falling apart on the M6.
I just hope 'Forever Is Over' is actually next and that 'Higher' doesn't chart too high.
13th Place
Score - 65 points
Average - 6.4
Fortunately for Hurricane, Forever is Over IS next! Forever is over was the surprise for me as I thought it would be right towards the end of the competition with so much hate going towards it. But it recieved at least one 10 and one 11 and a big range of 8s and 7s. This allowed it to surpass even the most positives of expectations. I think the video is a little different to what they have done before which gives it a bit of a bigger edge than their older videos, not to mention Mollie and Frankie look absolutely stunning! But I think most people disliked their look and the fact that not much went on in the video. Forever is over marks the first song to get a ripe tomato in the rotten satur-rater meter with 64% positive.
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 64%
(Consensus: Although lacking in an original concept and being slow-paced, Forever is Over displays beautiful close-ups and a more darker video as introducing a nice edge to their music videos.)
Yes Forever is Over who gave it those high scores?
It's not a bad video, just very forgettable.
I just wish the video fit the song a bit more (I needed it to be darker. The concept itself, not just the lighting you know).
I do believe the "Forever" tattoo thing is ICONIC, tho.
Only Mollie could have saliva that is able to get rid of tattoos
12th Place
Score - 166 points

I think we all saw this coming and I am not surprised at this getting so low. In my opinion I think some of the higher marks it received was due to the video being so new. As a result I don't think this will be anywhere near the top 15 in the next video rate that happens. What are you waiting for received the 2nd most -1s with 3 but also received a variety of 9s, 10s and a lot of 2s and 1s. This evened out to a 12th position place. What the video does is show the girls as genuinely happy and not faking the happiness portrayed in the video which is what I liked. The problem? All they do in the video is bounce up and down and look like tourists the whole way through. It reminds me a bit of higher in the fact that they're in a brilliant setting but not making much use of it.
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 64%
(Consensus: Beautiful scenery and genuinely pleasant to watch, the girls try their best to deliver a happy and fulfilling video, but is woefully blatant in advertising and the girls simply seem like tourists in a tropical destination)
Mow
It's my 11. I knew it would be too much for you guys to handle.
They are still a few videos that should have left before, but it's fine where it is I guess.
From a filming-only point of view, this is their best video....but there isn't much going on except PARTY PARTY PARTY, so it makes sense.
The iconic First Choice product placement.
Tbh Missing You should be out by now
It should be next.
Well, wait. What's left?
It should be next.
Well, wait. What's left?
A host that predicts, I love it.
I think Missing You although basic has a beautiful video with nice choreography! I hope it does well. Disco Loves video is a bit bland, I like the first scene. MHTOs video is very artistic and suits the song so well so I hope it does well too. My favourites are Notorious and Ego.
I think AFU should be #1. I'm not really a huge fan of the song but that video is flawless for sure x
Omg Frankie's face in the thumbnail is hilarious
Is this still going?
Giving the Actress rate a run for its money are we Neil?
Sorry guys! Got parents behind my backs about using some of my time for GCSEs Should get it all done by this Saturday hopefully (see what I did there?)
It was very pitiful Neil
Oi that is an Una-approved joke there
Neil is clearly pregnant and is going on holiday the week the results are due. In true sats fashion!

Quite surprised and genuinely happy that What About Us missed out on a top 10 position (but not by a lot haha). Even I didn't see this coming, but with the third most -1s in the competition (2) and even getting a few 0s, it was no surprise that What About Us' success in the competition was going to be hindered. Missing out on the top 10 by 1 point, What About Us just narrowly escapes a lower position, also being 1 point away from Forever is Over. What won most people over was the brilliant baseball break-in scene and a little more of an interesting concept there and the fact that this was also number one on the TV airplay chart for sometime must mean there was something about it that people appealed to.
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 64%
(Consensus: Some beautiful close-ups and a very appealing end, What About Us delivers some nice memorable moments but this cannot excuse to slow pace and non-event of a video that What About Us results in.)
Shocked at WAU missing the top 10 !!! That dance break!
Can anyone guess which video is at #10
(as soon as someone has guessed correctly, I'll roll out the top 10 real quickly )
Missing You
Nope

Quite the dark horse. One that ridiculously fails in a sats song rate but does pleasantly well in a video rate. The video of JCGE initially reeled me towards the girls in the first place. They all looked full of energy and everything about it was so fun-loving I think the main reason some people had down-graded it was because of the song itself as shown by its scores. It received 2 -1s and a few 4s and 3s and the rest were 6s and above which is great. It reeled in the most 10s and 9s combined for a video out of the top 5 with 4 10s and a further 3 9s.
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 65%
(Consensus: Fun-loving and cartoonish. Just Can't Get Enough delivers charm and enthusiasm which not many girl groups are able to do. Perhaps a bit too goofy from time to time, but it remains a classic saturdays video)
Sad to see 'What About Us' miss the top 10, but understandable I guess.
Just Can't Get Enough is fun and cheesy I guess.
Missing You video needs to go now.
I don't want Up and Higher to be too high either.
Missing You being in the top 10
GCSEs? Oh my I feel so old.
Bless you.
This rate has inspired me to put the music video DVD on and bore my housemates with it
EDIT: My other male housemate (who fancies Frankie LOL) just said what a waste of water to AFU/what a terrible song.
Death to Missing You! (And Up)

I still don't feel this video, although I really did like the dancing white blocks that kept moving up and down like platforms, it was a cute concept. I found everything else a tad bland though, full of personality like usual and nice snappy scenes from time to time. But the green/ sometimes blue background put me off it. The song, everyone can agree, is exceptional pop. It's one of their signature songs up there with Ego, Higher, What About Us and Gentleman
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 66%
(Consensus: Up delivers entertaining CGI with the girls attempting to jump from platform to platform. Snappy moves and full of personality, its flaws can be easily concealed by the positives, although a bit of a non-event from time to time)
I'm not even surprised 'What About Us' finished 11th, it's really boring until the middle 8!
The worst part of What About Us Sean Paul version is during his bit, the dancing is beyond cringey.
What is this?

Another decent music video by the Saturdays! Personally, I didn't think Missing You would make the top 10 but am thrilled anyways! Missing you was how to do a vacation looking music video right tbh. This time we saw the Saturdays for the first time, not showing their personalities in a loud, happy, sassy way as they usually do. Instead, we get to see the calm, serene and heart-broken side of them. It is a non-event don't get me wrong but it's also a good use of a holiday
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 67%
(Consensus: Missing You takes the Saturdays from happy to emotional as they take us on their sad journey. Although clearly a little low-budget, The Saturdays make good use of it which allows us to forgive it's flaws )
I'm glad Just Can't Get Enough made the top 10. I adore the song and the video is so fun and amazing. I remember when I was 8 and a 1/2, the song came on one of the music channels and I loved the song so much that I recorded the video on my old phone
I wish FIO was higher but glad it got that high
7th Place
Score - 189 points

We all knew that Disco Love was going to make the top 10, and for good reason too! It's very fun-loving and I think the girls look fantastic in the video too! They seem to genuinely enjoy themselves in the music video and the concept does fit with the song too I think the only place where it falls, and a lot of people will probably agree, that there could have been more dynamics in the song to clearly differentiate each 'era' that is portrayed in the video as we only have the year signs appearing in the video to alert the viewer of what is happening. Other than that, it's a pretty solid music video!
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 73%
(Consensus: Disco love, although not living fully up to its potential, shows us some flare and fieriness as the girls go from era to era and exude each time frame with charisma and charm. )
Rochelle as Scary Spice, Mollie as Baby Spice, Una as Ginger Spice, Frankie as Posh Spice and Vanessa as Sporty Spice in a reshoot video please
I wish it was #6 or #5, but #7 is good.
Higher next please. Although I guess it will be MHTO.
I have very mixed feelings about the Disco Love video. Obviously the song is amazing and the first scene is great, but the second scene is horrible and the final scene is OK. I like the concept but the styling could be a lot better.
6th Place
Score - 193 points

So Hurricane was right, My Heart takes over just misses out on a top 5 at #6. I love the dynamics of the music video personally and it definitely suits the song a lot. To me it's kinda like a more improved version of issues and you have to commend Frankie for filming this even though she was on the verge of getting pneumonia Beautiful and scenic, the video is a good attempt at a ballad video
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 74%
(Consensus: Visually stunning and emotionally draining, My heart takes over takes the video to an almost full potential for a ballad single. )
The snow scenes are my favourite. I wish the whole video was snowy!
I don't know that I've ever made it through the entire MHTO video. It's beautiful but boring.
Me too I can't remember I ever watch the the entire video, even when I had to rewatch it for the rate, I basically skipped through it.
5th Place
Score - 197 points

So starting off the top 5 is Not Giving Up! Definitely on the low-budget end of the spectrum but it uses it it very well! Very well choreographed and visually appealing, Not Giving Up still dissapoints slightly, ever so slightly with its endorsement of the car thing and some untimed choreography: But you can't blame the girls for trying! Believe it or not but Not Giving Up had exactly the same votes as Gentleman for the first 4 voted. OUCH. But it rapidly picked up and managed to sneak past into the top 5!
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 76%
(Consensus: Visually stunning and a unique concept, The girls bring glamour and sexiness to the video and provide an interesting music video that audiences may be able to look past its flawed choreography and product placement)
I need that amazing French blog that pointed out all the hilarious flaws in that video.
Slay mamas
(Them flaws tho )
I can't believe Higher-The-Only-Good-Bit-Is-We-Crossed-A-Road is actually top 5. Talk about overrated.
I can't believe Higher-The-Only-Good-Bit-Is-We-Crossed-A-Road is actually top 5. Talk about overrated.
I voted the video
I voted the video too cuz it is ***Flawless
I think that's a bias for a lot of the songs sadly
If The Sats done Anaconda, it would have wiped the floor in this rate tbh.
I just noticed How convenient of me
Rochelle fidgeting in those few seconds with the light is so frustrating!
They should have filmed each of the girls dances individually on a green screen then put them together to make sure they were on point. That bloody car though...
Oh dear I noticed that the camera isn't even looking straight and is at a weird angle
http://thank-you-4-the-music.tumblr.com/post/77171943239/vous-etes-un-girlsband-et-vous-souhaitez-utiliser-des
Found it! Hurricane is the only that can read it though. But the pictures are hilarious.
I AM SCREAMING
Ugh.
I don't know, I think it's the fact that I can actually understand the whole sarcasm of it all and it's just not my type of humor, especially when in French. I do think it's a bit pathetic someone actually took time to draw red and green lines to show how sloppy they were...But whatever.
Are they saying mean things ?
This is exactly my type of humour, I just can't stop laughing it's unbelievable.
I don't need to know what it says because the pictures alone are giving me life. I love the one where they labeled Una "popstar." She truly makes the others look a mess in that scene.
It's complicated. He does say mean things, but it's in a sarcasm kind of way, he would probably say "Chill, I'm just kidding" if you were to snap at him.I don't need to know what it says because the pictures alone are giving me life. I love the one where they labeled Una "popstar." She truly makes the others look a mess in that scene.Although, that it isn't quite his point.
He's basically saying that Una is total a show-off and that's only a desperate attempt to seek attention on her and there's no need for that because she's in a girlgroup (so basically, she got four other people with her) and would only make the situation (which he descrbibed as precarious and by situation he means being in a girlgroup) even worse. He then adds "You're not interesting enough to be a solo act, so don't try to show off".
(It is said with a certain humor and to take with a pinch of salt... No one would say such things only based on that moment, but you know, that's the kind of humor he has going on for him... )
French people for you guys.
That is exactlymy type of humour.I should be French
That's indeed hilarious, Tim and Totto to be French in 2015 no?
COMPLETED BY TOMORROW OR ELSE.

Taking a huge leap from Not Giving Up is Higher! Higher exudes happiness as all the girls look fresh, happy and elated in this joyful music video! This was the very video that hatched the iconic Zebra Crossing scene too which probably made it so memorable in the mind of the fans I guess I see where Hurricane comes from aswell since it's not the most exciting video of theirs and as well as a music bias considering this song is very favorable.
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 82%

We all saw this coming to be honest but I am surprised it didn't go #1 or #2 cause first things first, this video is the best damn thing they have ever done! I love the pink tinge they've put in it, the product placement isn't too obvious and it's all very fierce! It's a bit low-budget but still, they've made it seem glamorous and expensive! One way they could have brought the video to perfectness was if there was more choreography but otherwise a very fantastic video
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 90%
(Consensus: Perfectly executed and a fierce concept, Notorious manages to mix glamorous with work and partying in this superb and near-perfect video.)
Notorious is such an overrated video and song like daaaamn....
Higher deserved that top 3 position
Lee me He just jelly cause he wanted What Are You Waiting For to be number one
Tim How could you say that??
ALL FIRED UP >
I can tease that the winning video won by ONE point! And had an average of literally almost 10 0_o
I kinda want 'Ego' to win just for the concept, but I guess that's not gonna happen.
Notorious has been a bit overrated. It's amazing in its first half, but then it's just a "ohh party!!111" and it doesn't even look like a big party. I can't. But then so is Higher, so whatever.
Not Giving Up really should have been higher than these two. It's sloppy, but it's still much better.
2nd Place
Score - 251 points

As if this didn't get to number one! Shame! My favorite video ever this is. Stellar visuals and overall a very dark and sexy concept to accompany a dark and sexy song. The choreography is absolutely stunning and everything about it speaks glamour and brilliance! Every girl looks flawless in the video including Frankie and none of us can forget Vanessa's boobs popping during the downwards shimmy The fact that only one person voted it below 8 is excellent and it's well-deserved considering this is one of their best efforts yet!
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 96%
(Consensus: Absolutely flawless from the concept, to the choreography, this dark and sexy music video offers thrilling and exciting moments that takes the definition of sexy to all new heights! )
YASSSS AT EGO #1.
Fab top 2 anyway.
AFU is definitely their best video when it comes to styling, theme, and edginess. Ego deserves the #1 though.
SLAYGO WINS!
So that must mean....
1st Place
Score - 252 points
Average - 9.7
So it's pretty close for the number one and Ego managed to attain it and go first this rate! I don't think anyone expected this to win considering All Fired Up And Notorious were the clear favorites but even then this feat is massive for a video that is now almost 5 years old! Ego has such a comical concept similar to that of Kickass or Watchmen and this has been really excellently executed in a three-minuted video! Although the Saturdays have managed to release several music videos afterwards, they have all failed to reach the heights of the bar set by Ego in 2009/10
Rotten Satur-rater meter : 97%
(Consensus: Not for the faint of heart, Ego takes the comic genre to new levels of visual style, pa-sass, and gleeful special effects. )
ICONIC.
Oh my jesus!!!
Stop it
