Joined: 7 December 2009 Posts: 67,165 User: 10,139	Hey all, You have probably all seen about artist forums, and Drag Race was one of the ones mooted, we aren't getting it yet but it's brought up the question of what we can do more of in this forum to capitalise on Drag Race a bit more - especially with Season 11 starting. I'm gonna do a poll weekly to find our winner of the week and who should have, it'll be interesting to see how our consensus differs from the actual show results. Obviously we can't really clog up the whole forum with individual threads for loads of queens, music threads etc. but we're open to ideas that can use for now - don't hesitate to bring it up and we can do what we can for now!

Maybe a LSFYL rate per season would also be nice.

I'm not going to let it just be like a page of "Alyssa Edwards general thread" "Unnhhh Episode 857", similar things have worked with Big Brother such as having eviction polls etc. so we could at least have a toot and boot thread ongoing and a poll for each week.

Excited to see more drag race activity. It's a shame it hasn't got its own sub-forum. It'd likely be one of the more popular parts of buzzjack outside the chart forum/lounge.

A thread for the seasons would be nice especially since a lot of us are just getting into Drag Race recently and may not have discussed the seasons while they aired but this would probably not work unless we have a separate forum for us lol. Joined: 7 December 2009 Posts: 67,165 User: 10,139	Ok so we're not at the point where a forum or subforum is going to happen just yet, but please do not feel like you will "clog" the forum for discussing things, neither me or cqm mind and the best way to argue for a forum or subforum is to walk the walk! For now while there isn't a lot else going on, it really is fine to start things, contribute and "clog" away. We're going to trial single episode threads from now so that it's easier to avoid spoilers etc. if you get behind and can't see an episode right away, you can still discuss the previous one or whatever in the thread provided and not have to worry about spoilers. We also have an existing spoiler thread for anything in the rest of the season that has not aired yet!

thanks for being a sarcy lil bitch Joined: 25 September 2007 Posts: 79,269 User: 4,397	I was thinking of a 'Drag Race-tivalen' type of game involving all 10 seasons' queens while Season 11 is on or afterwards. But we need to 'train' (are we dog or are we human~) people to not only post here in non-current Season threads which is why I think it might be a good idea to start now while the tide is still high. We hold separate rounds for each season with Top 2 qualifying for the Big Final. 3rd and 4th placers will then compete in an Andra Chansen which determines 5 or 10 additional qualifiers. I think that would be the fairest way because some seasons have more than 2 queens who would qualify for the final under different circumstances. Or we can have duels. After this and when the 11th season is over we can do a proper rate with new queens which will make our off-season time drag less painfully. Also if y'all think it's a good idea feel free to start this. I would host if I had time~ P.S.: Super Eurovision was a bit of a success and it happened a couple of months before the contest so I think it could be worth a shot. Individual threads for most popular queens and discuss them at great lengths there (music, gigs, videos, etc.). Not sure if it'll fit the forum but whatever. Drag Race related song nominations and rate. The herstory of drag with all the biggest references spelled out in detail. This would be a good pinned thread for the forum we'll eventually get. Drag Race related meme nominations and rate. Non drag race performers you like thread. UK drag v US drag.

I think each season thread might need to wait until if we get a forum bc that's like 15 alone As for the Super Eurovision type thing I'm too busy to host that rn too, anybody up for that?? I quite like that compared to the mega-rates as it gives each season a chance to shine and you get a chance to focus on and remember each season, I feel like when we do the big ones some get overlooked Whoever wants to start these things go ahead! Tbh the non-Drag Race parts of Drag aren't really reality so again might fit in the forum when we get it but the rate ideas are great especially once we're off season and run dry and want to discuss and do things.
