I agree that there's not been anything to help them stand out - 1D, The Vamps and 5SOS are stealing the limelight and Union J are just being overshadowed. Tonight was their best single to date though imo so am very interested in this album!

Topics merged! I changed the opening post to have the cover and tracklist in as that just looks generally tidier!

I do agree that they had potential as a group but have been totally screwed over by whoever is managing them by giving them such limp reject-lite material from the beginning. I do feel quite sorry for them...

By far my favorites of all the boybands but I really think they will be over after this album unless they manage to pull off a massive hit and get some decent promo - Their fanbase can get them hits but they don't seem to be be appealing to the general public and releasing the album on the back of a 2 week charting Top 10 single and a ballad follow up doesn't fill me with confidence it's going to sell especially as their debut took 6 months to be certified Silver

Beyond pleased that the record company seem to be doing all they can with the 2nd release - They have announced a 16 date singles/album signing with Morrisons, 'You Got It All' version with The Vamps is going to be 59p which should encourage both fanbases to buy it, The tour with The Vamps coincides with the album and single release, The physical signed bundle which counts as 3 sales has already sold out on their online store.... Praying that the song can somehow hang around for a bit which will help them recover the album with a 3rd single early next year.

+ they have strong radio and tv airplay. It looks like they may get their biggest hit yet. Perfect to launch the album! =D

Fab promo and set up for the single then! -
1. X-Factor Performance 2. 2 digital versions released - The one with The Vamps will be 59p 3. 16 date tour of Morrisons - Single will be sold in stores they perform at 4. Fan bundle which will count as 3 sales towards the charts 5. Better Radio/TV play than the previous release This really is the best chance they have had to get that hit single they so desperately need! Really hope it happens otherwise I think it will be the last we see of them if this performs like 'Tonight' |

This looks like there all in moment. They are throwing everything at this. If it flops or falls quickly down the chart like Tonight did then it's all over for them. I don't see the album doing brilliantly, so they need a massive single.

I really wouldn't mind this being a big hit for them. Honestly. It's by far and away the best thing they've done and the first song which feels "whole" and not like a 1D B-Side or something.

Really hoping for the single & the album to do well, out of all the boy bands I feel as if they're the most genuine & down to earth lads. Would be a shame if they got dropped.

Would really like to see them do well as I feel they are much better vocally than some of the other X Factor success stories.

They should have called the album 'Pissing in the wind', as that's what they're doing. They were already up against it with 1D who actually have their own sound & a massive fanbase. Now they have The Vamps & 5SOS to contend with yet they're coming out with this dated material. In this crowded marketplace they're not long for this world.

Anyone with young kids, or know of young children who seem to be loving Union J atm? The two ladies I work with both have young girls and they have ditched their One Direction merchandise this year for Union J stuff, wondering if it's a trend around that Union J are becoming 'cooler' to the kids, or if they're two isolated cases. Might get the album myself once I've heard all the previews, would love to see them have some better success.

It's such a pity they haven't received the backing other X factor contestants have. In my opinion they had great potential.
