I think it will do very well for the charity, and that is what's it all about.

I like Emma but it's just a bland cover version really which brings nothing new to it.
I would have preferred her doing something more uptempo. |

I heard this on her official site yesterday, not bad, but hardly an Earth shattering piece of excellent pop.

Emma was never my fave Spice, but she's the best solo ... Free Me was a brilliant album
I'd deffo buy another one by her ... not based on SCD or Downtown (which I think is fine, but nothing amazing), but because I was really impressed by Free Me |

The Free Me album was VERY underrated I thought, a lot of really catchy songs there and of course I respect her for trying something different at the time.

The sales for Free Me stank, it only sold about 130k.
But I don't think it's shot her career in the arm. It was a fantastic album. |

This song will do brilliant for Children in Need, they just showed a bit of the video on the SCD program on BBC2, it looks like all the people from SCD will be in the video, looks like lots of fun.

Emma Bunton confirmed for Children In Need single
02 November 2006 - 15:16:14 Emma Bunton has been confirmed to record the official BBC Children In Need single. Bunton will release a cover of 1960s classic Downtown on November 20, and is set to perform the single on the live BBC1 show on November 17. “I am delighted to be asked to do this on behalf of Children In Need,” says Bunton. “I've always loved Downtown as a song, and I’ve enjoyed putting my own stamp on it. “The video was great fun and all the guys in Strictly Come Dancing are in it. It was lovely that everyone really pulled together to make it happen so quickly, I was really pleased.” The release will be Bunton’s first single release since 2004. |
