This looks hilarious, exactly like my type of comedy. 4th December for the UK. |

Avoiding trailers because comedies are THE WORST for giving away all the best bits. So JGL, Seth and Anthony's names are really drawing me into this, BIG TIME.
SO EXCITED. |

When it was good, it was really good! But some of the best bits were in the trailer, mainly the church scene but I also really enjoyed the nativity bit, the phone stuff and Miley's cameo was awesome as was James Franco - I didn't know he was going to pop up but I guess this is Seth Rogen!. JGL was the highlight for me, his elf face was everything And Mindy Kaling
But other parts did fall flat for me, a fair amount of the drug stuff including anything with the drug dealer. Out of the movies mentioned in the trailer, I preferred it to "This Is The End" but found it nowhere near as laugh out loud hilarious as "The Interview". |

I thought this was pretty funny. Loved the use of Kanye's second best song too <3 ('Runaway' for those who have forgotten) and loved the chemistry between the main cast. It had a couple of "eh" moments, but it was a solid effort overall I thought. It probably helps that I avoided the trailers and went into this with no expectations whatsoever.
Seth Rogen was definitely the highlight for me. Usually he's the one who is used for other people to bounce off of, but I thought he really came into his own this time and upstaged most people he shared a scene with. |

Ow, this looks so good but going to have to give it a miss because I can't make the trip to the big cinema until 19/20 Dec but OF COURSE, they're getting rid of a CHRISTMAS film a couple days before then to make way for showing Star Wars 37 times in one day... Really?

Really? Yay, ended up making the journey to the big cinema a week early so ended up missing out on Christmas with the Coopers instead. This was hilarious from start to finish, the trio vibed off each other really well and it definitely had a cosy Christmas feel to it despite it being mainly a stoner comedy I think I'll buy it on DVD and stick it when the holiday season arrives. The church scene was my favourite though, so many good jokes in that part especially. Loved all the parts with the weed of Christmas past/present/future too, especially the latter - Jillian Bell was great in that scene and happy to see her in something else after she was the highlight in 22 Jump Street. |

I loved this! I love Seth Rogen's type of humour, this and The Interview were the best comedies of the year for me.
