Evening all - hope you've had a good week. Let's take a look at how my personal top 20 singles are holding up. Is Dua Lipa about to make it three weeks at the top for 'Physical'? Maybe Niall Horan or Meek Mill with Justin Timberlake have overthrown her? Here's where you find out...

CHART COMMENTARY

As you were: Dua Lipa is number one for a third week with 'Physical', whilst Niall Horan stays put in second place with 'No Judgement'. Combined with a one place rise back to #3 for Jonas Brothers with their former chart topper, it seems that nobody can hold a candle to these three records at the moment, all of whom are outperforming all other current hits.

The highest new entry of the week thus slides in at #4, marking the debut of one artist and the (sort of) return of another. US rapper Meek Mill has been releasing music since 2012, but his latest single 'Believe' gives him his first ever hit on my chart today. The powerful track features guest vocals from Justin Timberlake, M.I.A since the disastrous flop of his last studio album 'Man of the Woods' two years ago, and who thus returns to a top 5 berth for the first time since 'Can't Stop the Feeling' actually topped our chart in the spring of 2016.

The Shires are certainly not wasting any time with releasing new singles off their soon to be releasednew album 'Good Years'. 'New Year' and 'Lightning Strikes' have both been top 10 hits within the last two months, and now 'Independence Day' gives them a third - seventh overall of their career - and also their highest peaking to date, entering at #5.

#7 this week is a new entry for 'Magic', the debut hit for Coventry based, London born singer/songwriter Jordan Mackampa. Whilst he cites Marvin Gaye and Bill Withers as influences, this catchy little floorfiller actually owes a little bit more to a 60s, bossa nova type sound. Keep your eyes peeled on this young man.

Finally this week, Aloe Blacc and Sean Paul return with new singles. Aloe was last on our chart as recently as May last year when 'SOS', his collaboration with the late Avicii spent four weeks locked at #2. 'I Do' is the first single off a brand new album and enters at #11. Sean Paul meanwhile has been making sporadic appearances on and off on our chart in recent years, topping the charts at Christmas 2016 of course with Clean Bandit on 'Rockabye'. His new single is a collaboration with Tove Lo, called 'Calling On Me', and returns him to our top 20 at #15.

FLASHBACK TOP 10

Your chance to see how my personal top 10 was looking on this week in the last 20 years. This week in 2011: JLS score their sixth consecutive number one - with Tinie Tempah - on 'Eyes Wide Shut', plus classic hits from Chipmunk, Rihanna and Bruno Mars

1. (HNE) JLS FEAT. TINIE TEMPAH - Eyes Wide Shut

2. (1) CHIPMUNK FEAT. CHRIS BROWN - Champion
3. (2) RIHANNA - S&M
4. (4) BRUNO MARS - Grenade
5. (3) TAIO CRUZ FEAT. KYLIE MINOGUE - Higher
6. (5) DAVID GUETTA FEAT. RIHANNA - Who's That Chick?
7. (NE) FAR EAST MOVEMENT FEAT. RYAN TEDDER - Rockateer
8. (6) DIDDY - DIRTY MONEY FEAT. SKYLAR - Coming Home
9. (11) P!NK - F***in' Perfect
10. (7) BRITNEY SPEARS - Hold It Against Me
