Blas is dropping two songs on Wednesday, "Voy a quedarme" and "Memoria", and will leave it up to the public to decide which one becomes his 2021 entry. Here's hoping for something a lot better and more stand-out than "Universo".

I think they're both a step up from "Universo" but only in a 'potential last place' to 'potential 21st' sorta way. I'd give the slight edge to "Memoria".

They're both fine in a Spotify/radio playlist kinda way but for Eurovision they both have last place written all over them, oh Spain!

I like Blas Canto much more than I'd expect myself to, I think both are good possibilities, probably not to get noticed but "Voy Y Quedarme" probably has more chance of having a moment, if they can bring one together.

Completely agree but TVE has this obsession of sending songs prioritising language over quality or possibilities of a higher position. Not like the channel shows that they care about winning/hosting anyway. Also it is not like it has been extremely successful in the past for Spain when we have sent a song entirely in English (see 2016). If I were Blas I would push for trying to perform a bilingual version a la Ruth Lorenzo.

The English version is SO much better. Still not sure it would be top half of my rankings due to this being such a strong year but it definitely wouldn't be teetering around the bottom as one of my least favourites.

Maybe UK/Spain should join from now on to try to grab more than 20 points together
