BuzzJack Music Forum _ Harry Styles and One Direction _ Louis Tomlinson - Miss You

Posted by: JosephStyles 17th November 2017, 09:36 AM

Supposedly out next week! No announcement yet but I assume one will come soon if this is true. Excited anyway biggrin.gif

Posted by: THEO. 17th November 2017, 12:38 PM

Louis really loves releasing on the same weeks as Matt Terry, doesn't he?! laugh.gif

The last 'song' he released was one of the worst things I've heard all year, so I don't have high hopes for this.

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE 17th November 2017, 01:29 PM

Its quite rocky tbh. Feels very 5sos / 1D.

Posted by: pippa 17th November 2017, 07:40 PM

As he is about to launch his third single, surely the album isn't far away.

Posted by: SGrey 17th November 2017, 08:26 PM

Reckon his album will follow similar to Camila's, Q1 release to avoid the Christmas market rush and loss.

Posted by: JosephStyles 17th November 2017, 09:06 PM

Oh yeah I'm confident we'd know already if it were coming this year. I can see it coming maybe early Q2 next year actually!

Posted by: Rafael x 18th November 2017, 11:43 AM

its his 2nd single btw, just like you was a promo/buzz track only and back to you is his 1st

Just Hold On tongue.gif

Posted by: Agent Cody Banks 18th November 2017, 05:29 PM

Any Louis track with the word “You” in the title makes me rundor the Hill’s.

I think that’s for Steve Aoki’s campaign more than for Louis.

Posted by: JosephStyles 18th November 2017, 06:46 PM

It's hard to tell cause Louis was credited first in the UK and I'd be very surprised if it was left off Louis' album! There's not really any evidence either way yet I guess.

Posted by: Rooney 19th November 2017, 01:00 PM

It's definitely very 5SOS/ Midnight Memories era 1D from what I have heard.

The lyrics border from being actually quite good to cringe as anything tho.

Posted by: pippa 20th November 2017, 02:48 PM

It would be a great confidence boost for Louis if he could manage a third straight top 10. He was always nervous of his solo career as he was seen as the least important member of the band.

Posted by: JosephStyles 22nd November 2017, 07:38 PM

Still no announcement for this, while Back to You was announced a few weeks in advance with a pre-order going live thinking.gif

It's Steve Aoki track, and Louis will put it on his album ofc... credited in the UK with his name bc of his XF performance, the buzz going around etc

Its like

Just Hold On - pre era single
Back to You - 1st single
Just Like You - buzz track
Miss You - 2nd single

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE 23rd November 2017, 01:41 PM

I feel like it may come end of Dec

Posted by: Rafael x 24th November 2017, 03:53 PM

he will perform it on variety

Posted by: Rooney 24th November 2017, 08:05 PM

Surely it has got to be coming next Friday? Makes sense for an X Factor Final performance etc.

Posted by: THEO. 26th November 2017, 09:16 PM

Confirmed for a performance on the final by Dermot. I wonder if he'll outpeak the winner's single again laugh.gif

Posted by: pippa 27th November 2017, 02:30 PM

If Grace or Rak Su win i think they will do ok with their single. However, if Kevin wins, Louis could easily beat him.

Posted by: Court 28th November 2017, 01:25 AM

Saw a video of a performance of this song and everything about it was bad. I can't see the X Factor performance doing much for this song beyond slowing down its initial fall a little bit. Liam and Harry both only got okay boosts with better songs and what are sure to be better performances as well.

Posted by: TMD_24Quavo 30th November 2017, 08:34 PM

I quite like this. Different but great although he needs to get rid of the unnecessary swearing.

Posted by: JosephStyles 30th November 2017, 08:59 PM

It doesn't sound anything like a hit and it feels like something that'll get panned on here but I can't take it off repeat wub.gif

Posted by: Cody Cranberry 30th November 2017, 10:09 PM

Okay from the live version I got a sneak peek of it's much better than his past two songs, which I obviously hated so there's not really much of a bar to surpass tongue.gif

1.) This isn't the first time the UK has credited British artists different from the rest of the world ("Never Forget You" springs to mind)
2.) It also explains the release of "All Night" as one connected to JHO rather than an isolated release.

it will probably be included as a bonus track anyway

Posted by: TheGrinch 1st December 2017, 12:09 AM

His worst single by a mile.

His accent is so annoying too, this is going to bomb!

Posted by: SevenSeize 1st December 2017, 12:29 AM

this is fookin' great

Posted by: Styles Bilinski 1st December 2017, 12:40 AM

I'm really enjoying it, puts me in mind of a Busted or McFly song which is a big positive as far as I'm concerned.

Posted by: Court 1st December 2017, 01:33 AM

Still awful in full studio HQ

Posted by: Josh! 1st December 2017, 07:20 AM

This reminds me of a weird mix of a male Lucy Spraggan on the verses and 5SOS on chorus?! laugh.gif

I think I like it but it's nowhere near as polished or replayable as "Back to You" sad.gif

Posted by: mdh 1st December 2017, 08:36 AM

oh wow this is rather good isn't it wub.gif I could see this doing very well with the right promo and airplay.

Posted by: Joe. 1st December 2017, 10:56 AM

This will be battling with Kiwi for my -1 in the next 1D rate

Posted by: CodySleighBell-y 1st December 2017, 03:53 PM

Well... Louis made a good song for once.

I’d say this is more The Vamps than 5SOS though, no?

Posted by: Rooney 1st December 2017, 08:20 PM

It's straight out pop, definitely very MM era/Vamps - I think it's a grower, it's quite anthemic and pretty catchy.

Can't understand if he is trying to be overly Yorkshire on purpose though?

Posted by: JosephCarey 2nd December 2017, 10:42 PM

A great performance! This song is made for an arena setting.

Posted by: cqmerqn 3rd December 2017, 12:52 AM

Struggling to figure him out as an artist.

Just Hold On, Back To You & Miss You are all very different.

Niall, Liam, Harry and somewhat Zayn all have their own paths and know exactly what they’re doing. Louis just seems to be throwing anything out there and hope it sells.

Posted by: Slick 3rd December 2017, 11:22 AM

Pretty terrible performance and I really WANT to like Louis, but he's just not very good. The song itself is potentially a grower because it sounds quite anthemic, but his voice is just so weak.

Posted by: Liаm 3rd December 2017, 03:18 PM

Yeah that performance was embarrassing laugh.gif Absolutely awful. The song isn't terrible but it's just not for me, it is very McFly/Bsted 2003 B-Side. I'll stick with Back To You tbh

Posted by: JosephCarey 3rd December 2017, 04:32 PM

I really couldn't disagree more on the topic of the performance, it felt well suited to the song and showed off how anthemic the chorus is brilliantly imo! Not remotely embarrassing.

Posted by: sajjadali 4th December 2017, 09:44 AM

'It's all out of tune' i laughed w00t.gif

It's a pretty terrible song. The problem is he can't sing very well. He is lucky he got into 1D.

The performance did make me like the chorus abit more i'll say that much.

But that performance for a final is ridiculous, what was Cowell thinking?

Posted by: pippa 4th December 2017, 05:45 PM

The chorus was mildy catchy. Like others have said, i cant figure out the direction Louis is going in. His 3 singles are all do different that its hard to see what kind of album he will release. This is by far his weakest single. Dance orientated music similar to Just Hold On would be the best suitable root for him.

Posted by: JosephCarey 8th December 2017, 06:55 PM

Debuts at #39! Better than I was expecting in the end, and it just about avoids becoming the first pre-album 1D single to miss the top 40.

Posted by: pippa 8th December 2017, 08:31 PM

Staying Top 40 was the hopes for this single towards the end of the week and i am happy that he has managed it.

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE 9th December 2017, 02:00 PM

His accent has thickened so much. When I met him in Manchester at Key 103 I didn’t realise he had such a strong accent

Posted by: Jay ☆ 9th December 2017, 06:11 PM

Can't get into this one unfortunately, the sing-talking in his accent is pretty grating & the swearing come across as gratuitous. Such a let down after the first two singles! Can't see this managing to progress beyond #39 unless it somehow picks up again in the new year.

Posted by: lewistgreen 6th January 2018, 10:11 AM

This remix is a banger.

Posted by: Lorde 6th January 2018, 11:03 AM

Flopped hard I guess

Posted by: Joe. 6th January 2018, 11:11 AM

I don't know what they were thinking releasing this.

Posted by: Jay ☆ 6th January 2018, 08:35 PM

Yeah, this was a huge misfire. Back to the drawing board, Louis x

Posted by: Shia LeMuffQueef 17th February 2018, 10:12 PM

Ew this is awful.

His other songs are major - even his chavvy style makes him seem more relatable tbh
