It looks like Little Mix are shooting video two at the moment.

It seems like it's another director X video and the Mix Men were pictured with Parris Goebel, who choreographed the Bieber Sorry dance video.

It's believed that Touch was planned as single 2, but I'll keep it as TBA until we get any official confirmation.

They announced SLS on the 5th of December as the next single (while at the Jingle Bell Ball I think), so hopefully we can an announcement very soon.

Really praying this is Touch, feel like it would be a massive hit for them, one of the best pure pop tracks in a while and a mixture of the studio version and the acoustic version would make for some great TV performances too

Touch is a solid, good pop song but if I were to criticise it, it just doesn't have a Little Mix stamp on it. I'd actually go with a singles run of Oops for X Factor final and 2nd single, No More Sad Songs for spring and then a remixed version of Touch for summer as I think Touch needs an extra little spark. Power would only work as a single if they got rid of those horrendous "BIKE BIKE BIKE BIKE" parts.

If it was released next I have no doubt it'd still be a top 10, but I think they would do well to save it for summer and give it a little extra oomph - especially if they could get Ariana on board.

I love Touch and it'll make a great single and it certainly makes sense to go for that next, but I really want a Private Show music video and single release Also Power but by the fan reaction i seriously doubt they wont go with that now

I love Touch's production - I think it's possibly their strongest tracks production wise and I really don't really understand people saying it sounds unfinished - MNEK gave me everything I needed. I do agree with Ryan that it doesn't sound quite them, and sounds slightly faceless, but a video and performance they could easily bring it to life, help it connect more and give it more of their "stamp".

Also, unless something has majorly changed, it IS their second single. It was almost their first single apparently. I think it makes sense to perform something on the XF final where they can go all out. And Oops is probably their Feb/March single that they can promote in the US with Charlie Puth.

Great news that this is officially the next single. I don't understand the "unfinished" criticisms. I really don't. It's tailor made for radio and I can definitely see people losing their shit to it in a club!

I really feel like this could be another #1 for them if the pull off a great performance and release the video at a good time, and not 2 months after it's announced as a single like they did with SLS. I can see it having more streaming longevity than SOTME on Spotify too due to its RnB/Dance style.

The only negative about this being a single choice is that it doesn't scream "album seller", due to its slightly faceless nature, which is why I think Oops will be the perfect 3rd single, as much as I don't particularly like the song, it screams album seller too me.

Last year Coldplay were annouced a week earlier, 1D were announced on the Wednesday before the final, Little Mix and Fleur Thursday morning, Adele Thursday evening.

-Radio 1 and Capital playlists this week. It will be RUDE if Radio 1 don't add the song on Friday, 1D were added with History and Weeknd has 2 songs A list at the moment.

- Video would be perfect for Friday, though Monday would also work. I think it can still be seen as an X Factor exclusive performance, even with the video out, because we've heard the song anyway.

I don't think it'll go #1 straight away, but could do so ready for the first week of January.

I think we will be looking for a top 10 debut with this, I would love another #1 but with the album being out and fans having it and stuff, I think top 10 debut is what they should aim for. Then climbing to top 3 when airplay increases and video out etc.

I would be very shocked if they performed this and it hit #1, But I would love it to surprise me.

Oh wow. I wasn't even convinced they'd get a slot on the final given that they'd already performed, never mid two -- incredible news. I hope 'Oops' doesn't overshadow 'Touch' though, I'd prefer that they performed it second. I'm also a bit concerned that with two songs, people will opt to buy the album instead, so 'Touch' might not make that big a splash on iTunes.

Edit: Never mind, I'd forgotten that 1D had the exact same set-up last year, and didn't exactly hamper History's chart performance. Bring on Sunday!

Actually Infinity was the single, but History outperformed it so they changed it. I'm not worried though. I think people enjoying Oops will buy the album and people enjoying Touch will go for the single, Touch will of course have a much bigger and captivating performance and is a much more instant song than Oops. Opps will of course be single 3 though, I can see them both going top 10 after the performance.

Two performances on X-Factor - that's insane! What are XF ratings like these days, I know it being the final will likely pull in more. Hopefully both songs shoot up the chart, I'm really excited to see how the album sells too.

I hope they back the performance up with some other perfomances throughout the week, the acoustic version on some of the morning shows would be a nice touch.

Ratings these days are not great, it regularly gets savaged in the ratings by Strictly Come Dancing. However, there was a big spike in the ratings when the girls performed SOTME

I was the #1 Oops hater but it did grow on me a lot. It's a bit frustrating for us stans because there are better tracks on Glory Days (but Oops will probably be an excellent single) and because I can't think of any great performances coming from it since it has no big vocal moment, but I guess that's ok for one single in the campaign.

The song isn't getting the boost I expected. I think doing two totally different songs probably split the sales somewhat, the songs sing to totally different audiences and it was 100% clear which the single was. It's also probably going to effect the album more than anything else.

Touch is 11 combined (it's annoying people are buying the standard version too) and has re-entered Spotify at 185.

I actually wasn't expecting that huge a boost. I think with two songs performed, people will be more inclined to buy the album. It also didn't have the debut hype surrounding it like SOTME did (and that Louis Tomlinson dirge this week). I still think it'll go top 10/5 officially after the video release and R1 A-listing. It's a song that'll react well to increased airplay I imagine -- I know I'm biased, but it sounds incredible blasting in the car.

Edit: I didn't even realise it was as high as #6 combined. That's definitely a decent start.

Makes sense. I did think it was part of some feature where they played the iTunes top 10 originally, but apparently not. As nice as it'd be to have two singles flying high at the same time, I'd rather Oops didn't eat into Touch's airplay.

Edit: Touch is up to #31 on Spotify today! They're on the cover of 'Hot Hits' too, although I'm not sure if it was like that yesterday.

The airplay they receive is insane. I've been listening to Capital since 6AM, and I've heard 'Touch' 3 times, and SOTME and 'Oops' twice each. Definitely seems like the latter is getting regular rotation.

Also, I think it'll be a couple of weeks before it picks up again. A lot of "end of year" charts and playlists will be made. So will probs benefit the likes of 'One Dance', 'Can't Stop The Feeling' and 'Shout Out to My Ex' more tbh. Hopefully I'm over estimating the end of year effect.

It looks like Matt and Louis will fall away within the next week (Well, Matt will for sure). Next week's Christmas charity single is only going to have a 1-week shelf life. All they'd need to do really is overtake Clean Bandit and Rag n Bone Man. So if they can continue at this pace with minimal airplay, and airplay continues and they drop the video soonish....Well, they have a chance at being the first #1 of 2016. That is if nobody huge releases in the mean time (I'm looking at you, Ed).

Hate to jink it, but I do feel as though this is a certain top 5 for them at least, and probable top 3.

Clean Bandit are 5k ahead, Little Mix had huge boosts from the Hair and Secret Love Song videos (35% rises I think), both of which were not that exciting as videos. The Touch video, given it's by a big director and has a top choroegrapher, is bound to have a substantial impact when it's released. It would have helped them on Spotify, too.

I've been listening to Capital since ~8pm whilst doing uni work, and they play the girls almost incessantly. I must've heard 'Touch' at least 6 or 7 times, plus 'Oops' and SOTME a good 5 each. They're certainly played more than any other artist (not that I'm complaining).

It's because there's still that bloody second version screwing up the momentum of the top version, it's getting dark green updates while the top verison falls. Not only does the second version come up when you search 'little mix' on iTunes but they've advertised the album on the main page and it's also the standard verison so the top verison will suffer even more.

I'm so proud that they've managed to get the streaming numbers with this era, so far! It's been so refreshing to see and not be worried about how they're doing on Spotify etc..!

It's genuinely translating over too, as I hear people singing it occasionally! It's infectious and it's a club smash waiting to happen, if it hasn't already!

I think with it A-Listed now on Radio 1 and hopefully the video coming out in the beginning days of the new year (fingers crossed), it'll easily make top 3. Hopefully Clean Bandit's song will lose traction and I can't imagine the Zara track lingering around the top of the charts for long. Sales must be around 120/130k now?

I think #4 will be Touch's peak now, I wish it could have snuck to #3 but I think it'll be a huuuuge seller regardless. Ed and Major Lazer releasing this week, Human is getting bigger, Zara is 59p (though hopefully not for too long) and Clean Bandit are still really popular. The video coming in a week will stop it from falling though, and from Tuesday, it should make some gains on iTunes again with everyone back at work and the New Year effect over.

Even when the video comes out next week and gives them a big boost and with Zara probably falling behind them due to the lack of 59p, with Ed now having two songs, it seems #4 will be their peak, even if they do have a significant sales increase. Oh well, it's still great, their highest peaking post-album, obviously frustrating when we know it could have gone to 1 or 2 but not the end of the world.

Ah, okay, yeah I don't think most artists do that any more unless the new version is drastically different like Hair. The main reason is because the album version always starts climbing from early on and when a single version is released it can mean two versions are charting lower rather than one higher on iTunes.

I think Touch could still make the Top 5 this Friday. With Ed making up the Top 2, Rockabye and Human making up the rest of the top 5 leaves one space that seems like a fight between Touch, I Would Like (which is no longer discounted) and September Song (which is rising on iTunes but I think is lower in streaming, plus Touch has a second version on iTunes at 25-30 still).

I mean, it's all nice and all to have high chart peaks and whatever for stats sake, but honestly I don't really mind where this peaks now. It's transcended so much more than just the charts to the point where I've heard so many friends talking about how much they love the song which leads to "Little Mix are so good recently". The accessibility of this single has really helped to branch their popularity and audience out even further so now they're reaching the "cool for straight lads to like" stage that Bieber recently reached.

The single has done its job SO successfully, whether it's a #1, #2, #3, #4 or whatever.

I agree, espcially as it would have been relatively easy for them to go top 2 this time, and as a chart geek it does annoy me when the chart position doesn't match the status of the song. Outside of that it really doesn't matter, a song that's been top 5 for 3 weeks is going to look great to the record company and radios.

I wouldn't mind about the peak if it wasn't doing so well and it was perfectly capable of reaching a #2 or perhaps even a #1! It would be iconic for them to have to #1 from one album - and that second #1 being a post-album single! But as long as it ends up having fantastic sales I'll deal with it. It's incredibly annoying! The girls are in a position to get a massive boost from the video and keep it selling, I don't understand why they haven't released it!? I'm so frustrated. I just think this video woulda been killa and we'd get some amazing visuals with it. So peeved. I understand maybe getting scared by the Ed releases, but it got to the point where it's obvious no one would be overtaking for so many weeks, which at that point will be far too late for the girls to receive any real impact!

Yeah, I agree. Not releasing it is one thing, but to keep the fans completely in the dark as to when it's coming is a bit iffy, especially since we know it was shot months ago.



Surely it's a result of the songs reaching a wider audience, rather than 'Mixers' streaming? I just think the past two singles have been a lot more accessible than say, LMLY or 'Hair'. It's partly why I'm so apprehensive of an 'Oops' release -- it sort of reverts them back to 'guilty pleasure' territory.

Yeah, I certainly would not turn my nose up at a #4 peak either, especially 3 weeks of that. But somehow it doesn't feel that big really. I feel like even Hair felt bigger at the time. I don't really know why, maybe it's because the video isn't in circulation?

Ideally the video would come tomorrow and they'd reduce the song to 59p, but that's just obvious wishful thinking.

That's now seven singles in a row that have been certified- you can probably guess the last one that wasn't. Number 4 is great for a post album single but I can't help but have this nagging feeling that it would've have needed much of a boost to get in the top 3, which the video would've given it

Touch had a week on the B list, so this week actually matches Hair's run, which was the longest one of their post-album singles managed on the playlist, so I do fear that it'll be taken off this week, before the video has dropped.

According to Kworb this is the 14th most popular video in the UK right now. It's a very good thing the label didn't erase this fan made video, seems like they are embracing it as the official one on the Youtube until the video is out.

The date got moved originally probably because of Ed's surprise release and messing things up, which is understandable enough. But I just don't get why they postponed it this week? Unless they want it to tie in with the Summer tour dates going on sale on Friday?

I guess Touch is slowly dying now, falling on Spotify as well as iTunes. Do we think they'll start pushing a new single while they're on the Dangerous Woman tour, or wait until after they come back? With the video coming so late, maybe they'll let it be Touch's promo for still a long time in the UK.. hope so! I can't see them already pushing something new at the BRIT's, especially since next single is probably Oops and there's nothing you can do to this song to make the performance something other than a borefest. They know when they have to bring it, so I'm thinking it will be either Touch or SOTME/Touch.

I'm not sure when they're back? But I'm thinking a 3-4 month run for Touch.

I also think (or probably hope!) that the plan is to make Touch a long running single. It is a good song for that strategy, I don't think people will bore of it quickly. It may still end up as a big seller in the end, which may also benefit the album more than having a concise impact period. BUT GIVE US THE VIDEO ANYWAY.

It's... odd. I think it's safe to say there's been issues getting it out. Be it legal or someone on the team not being happy with the product. They filmed the video 3 months ago so it would probably have been so they could strike as soon as the iron was hot. But they've literally watched it slowly fall over the past 3 weeks without releasing the video would give it a big boost. While the video will probably gain them a place or two in the chart if released now it won't be anywhere near the sales peak if they released it 3 weeks ago.

Davidson makes an excellent point. They released the SOTME video the day the song charted so the buzz was still massive after the X Factor performance, so maximum impact there. I remember when Glory Days first came out Lewis Corner of Digital Spy described Touch as 'a hit single waiting to happen' and it was a firm favourite on album release. Surely with there being so little movement in the chart at this time of year releasing the MV within a week or two of the X Factor performance would've got it at least Top 3.

For me the most surprising thing is that there hasn't been a single tweet from HQ about it. When the SLS video was delayed it was at least acknowledged but I haven't been aware of a single tweet from HQ giving any indication of when, or even if, it's coming
