So we're halfway though our own chart year here in The Saturdays Forum and I thought it would be fitting do do a proper countdown for the occasion!!

Any predictions for this tonight? You guys are the main contributers to this so what you Like to see #1 or even last at #40

So at #40 we have the track that I kept confusing with something I didn't like oops. It's been climbing readily all year though and it entered the top 40 two weeks ago so yass for that! Although being at #40 is a shame since it would have been nice for it to be higher already.

At #39 we have Bigger. Probably would have made a very decent single tbh. it's one of my fave b-sides they've done and it's well on its way to hopefully finish top 20 when the full eoy comes in November/December.

I can't forgive you guys for letting DLMDA come in so low at this point! It's one of my faves from LFTW as much as you guys don't like it!

at #36 though is one of UVS faves and I've very only recently come to appreciate how great it actually is. The video is really amazing and it's just such a shame that this missed the #1!

and there we have the best of the worst bunch in the top 40 apparently

I think '808' lost a lot of steam this year so I'm not expecting that one to be #1 (although it would have been last year)

I'm thinking 'What About Us' for #1. or 'Not Giving Up' which are both well deserved winners!

So in at #35 we have Wordshaker. I just can't appreciate this sorry guys. It's one of my least fave tracks.

At #34 we have our first Xmas track in the countdown It's one of my fave covers of this song. It's great to see it so high but I think it will miss the top 40 by the time November comes around

at #33 is such a guilty pleasure. Move on U is a brilliant song especially when the chorus kicks in but I must admit I am shocked to see it this high.

LOL at work being #31 atm. This is my least fave single of theirs along with the cheap as video. oop.

At #30 we have probably an album track in my top 10 album tracks. Living For The Weekend is my favourite Saturdays Album so I really appreciate the love for this.

at #29 it's Chasing Lights. Such a massive glimmer of hope early on in their career that they could graft and deliver an amazing ballad but obviously to this day they've only released 2 ballads and one of them being very generic smashed and the other got lost in the Xmas crowd (but that one is gonna appear further up the list)

#28 I'm glad this never got a release I just dont see in this what anyone else sees. I don't think it's good at all but yay go all you guys getting it this far.

#27 yay! It's my fave Album track by them. I think it would have made a great b-side or as another single rather than just being relegated to an album track. it's such a guilty pleasure of a lot of Sats fans I think. Could this possibly be top 20 by the proper EOY I hope so.

and in at #26 is the fabulous Sundown. It's my second favourite Sclub8 single so yass! And you all can thank lee for this being here since he was the one plugging it

WTTD only #25 atm. I think not releasing this as a single was the right choice. It could have done better than WAYWF but I don't think so especially since the fans are ranking it as low as this after finishing in the top 3 last year

Leave A Light On Would have made a lovely final single from this album tbh and really think this could have helped sell it rather than just letting it flop. This and Leave My Love have really been neck and neck all the way up this chart.

One Shot manages one spot shy of the half way mark oops! I really don't get the appeal of this one either. Sorry guys

at #20 is Lease My Love - now as I just said this and LALO have been neck and neck for the most part but I think both will be top 20 possibly top 15 by the end of the year

and our highest rated SC8 track rightly goes to Fool No More even though it's been charting for less time than the majority of tracks here it still manages a respectable top 20 finish. With 6 months to go I think this is a definite top 10 contender

Gentleman exceeding everyone's expectations and managing to be at #17 already. This has just kept climbing up the chart this year. It will be interesting to see how this fares as the year draws to a close.

and the the single that never was. Wildfire just missing the top 15. This has made some considerable gains this year so yay!

I don't actually hate 'Missing You' that much It was actually quite high a few times in my top 20 most played tracks of the week, but I erased it because ewww no

I do think it's overrated, however. #25 would have been alright in my opinion.

This literally reached its peak on the chart today albeit with the lowest points tally for the last two months I think that's what they call a default #1 oops. This was literally not even top 30 for most of year gut has literally just started charting a lot so now it's flying up the chart. Funny thing about this is that I prefer the album version.

Gentleman is pretty Rochelle heavy so I will never hate it. I don't even think it's that bad, besides the fact that it's quite messy.

This has done incredibly well to make the top 10 after the shitty skirting the top 20-30 region it did for ages. It's not one of my fave songs by any means but that video is my favourite they've done. The leather clad dancers in the water are fabulous and the black Tiles (is it tiles?) that surround all of them make the video look very classy!

This is a more respectable position than its official one. It's a crime that this didn't make the top 5 officially. It's their beat ballad to date not that there's many The visuals are stunning and the song itself is absolutely gorgeous! I was absolutely gutted with its floppy chart positions. Can someone make a time machine so I can spend all my wages on this song and get it to #1!

How this only did so well chart wise with a 59p reduction is beyond me. I think this was their first attempt at doing the dance/club sound and I loved it! Should have been much more successful and anyone that says it's overrated is wrong tbh.

And here we have the single that never was and finishing at #7 is fantastic but it's still lower than WAYWF so I don't think that would have done any better had it been released instead. It's a fantastic track though no doubt and not even getting single #2 material is a bit shocking, even by their standards. If they do come back next year with a new album plz tack this on and release it as single #1!



I just listened to this on youtube and I cannot fathom why they didn't release it. It's surely one of the Beat things they've ever put their name to.

OMG YESS SATS STANS SLAAAAY ME. This is my fave Saturdays single! It's just so amazing and was brilliant for the Summer but the whole #38 flopping was so sad to see as a Sats Stan and it ruined their top 20 streak but now they have a full 20 top 40 streak doing on or is it 19 singles? Either way only a few artists can claim a full 20/19 top 40 streak so I'm still

Aww yay another perfect song coming top 5 although tbh the whole top 5 is flawless! Ego when it was released was without a doubt their best song up until that point and if they'd releases it as the first single from Wordshaker I bet it would have been their first official #1! I actually can't fathom why they'd release FIO over this as the first single although I do come to the conclusion that the bands managers were thinking that releasing the best singles after the albums release would drive sales but sadly it never worked except for Chasing Lights. Imagine where they would be now had they released Ego as the first single for Wordshaker. The video is one of my faves too. It's a proper music video and I wish they had more like it.



Also can I just say please come back with music like this. This so where you shine GIRLS!

Another beast of a song from The Girls. I can happily say that this was my fave single by them at the time of release. This era was flawless imo although as much as I love Gentleman, had they left that on the album and went with this as single #3 (#2) this era would have done so much better but this track grabbed a well deserved official top 5 placing. This Era was without a doubt my fave time to be a Sats fan!

An instant fan fave and another missed opportunity for a top 10 placing sadly. This was releases far far too late in the era to get anywhere and the lacklustre promo and performances didn't help. I loved Not Giving Up on their tour, it was one of my favourites. Their vocals, the choreography, the neon light, Totto's crazy dancing !
