SINGLES
Taylor returns to the top as we Fancy a million seller while All About That Bass makes so many new records
Chart Points

Taylor Swift is back at the top spot with Shake It Off- the lead single from 1989. This is the tracks 4th week now at the top and possibly not last
Break The Rules also reaches its previous peak of 2 and this might be a song to watch out for as a #1 contender in the next few weeks
Sigma score their first top 20 single ever and Paloma now has her 5th top 20 song this year after Changing climbs to 3 on release week- another dance hit this year
Amelia Lily has a quite big fall this week after the pre-orders from last week disappeared causing a sharp drop on sales
Meghan Trainor set a bunch of records this week. To name a few- first single in top 10 on streaming, first single in top 20 on streaming, biggest sale for song only on streaming, first streaming only song to pass 100k. AATB climbed to 8 this week and still has a week ahead to go before official release.
Katy Perry scored her 4th top 10 hit from PRISM with This Is How We Do as it climbs up 11 places to storm into 9th. Charli XCX also makes a return to the top 10
Sam Smith reaches a new peak of 12 with I'm Not The Only One- only 1 place from his highest peaking single Stay With Me and adverts boosted 2 songs this week. While I had the TV on in the background the other day, Lay Me Down played in the background and I started to re-listen to it a lot again this week which explains the huge climb. Sexy Lady by Jessie J also re-enters for the same reason
And the big news of the week. Who-Dat Who-Dat, a rap million seller. It has finally happened as Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX's [what a week she is having] Fancy has now passed 1 million sellers despite struggling on original release. The song however saw a new lease of life when the amazing video was released and the song grew on me massively. We now have 10 million sellers this year and Fancy slots in nicely at 9 for the time being.

ALBUMS
Again the albums had literally nothing happening as the drought of high placing new releases continued.
This lead to Pixie Lott getting her 2nd ever number 1 album as the self titled album reaches the summit on it's 7th week- this joins I believe Head Or Heart and The New Classic as other albums this year to climb to number 1 after failing to reach that place on its Opening Week. This era has been a pretty big success for Pixie and it should continue with Strictly soon. The album was also certified platinum,
Paloma might return to number 1 soon with A Perfect Contradiction which has just been a breakaway phenomenon this year.
The Script scored their 2nd highest peaking album with No Sound Without Silence at 9 but then it helps that the sales climate is struggling in the albums chart.
And that is pretty much it for albums this week
