I didn't like it much when I first heard it, thought it was a bit of a mess and wasn't sure whether the sample fitted in well but I think it's quite good now.

This is really growing on me! The sample is v. prominent but sampled infrequently enough that this does go off! I'd imagine this will become a hit, don't think it's reached it's peak yet.

Samples and covers have been heavily prominent in dance music for the last 30 years and they've always been popular. I get that maybe some of the more 'original' tracks should share in the spotlight but this is hardly an over-bearing example. The lyrics and production are original, it just so happens to feature a famous 80s melody as well. |
