I got thinking in the chart show thread earlier about this. Beautiful Trauma reaches a peak of 25 today on the singles chart. Many posters are hoping it’ll climb still and yet Radio 1 have taken it off the playlist. Streaming is letting her down which also happened with What About Us and prevented it from getting to no.1. WAU was the 13th best selling single of 2017 on sales only and yet was only 54th combined.
I tend to think younger people, teenagers are those that stream the most. I’m wondering whether Pink has finally moved away from appealing to teenagers. I’m now 29 and will be 30 by the end of this year and have grown up with Pink’s music. So what do you all think? This post has been edited by T Boy: Jan 5 2018, 07:41 PM |

I think a lot of them would be in their late 20s/early 30s.

Well, I cant say a particular age group because I am a massive fan of her but I am 21 so she still appeals to me.

I think P!nk is someone who appeals to all ages but doesn't have a huge core fanbase based in one range. Like One Direction were for young teen girl for example. As a result, P!nk has less fans who will stream constantly and get her further up the charts

I'm 30 now and have been a fan since I was 13. I know of a lot of fans through social media and message boards who are a similar age to me as well.
But I definitely think she appeals to all ages, my mum loves her... I don't know many kids so I couldn't say whether younger kids like her or not |

I think if Radio 1 are still playlisting her, then there's a consensus that she does still appeal to young people.
I myself am 30, I'd say I probably became a proper fan in the build-up to the I'm Not Dead era. |

Oops I mistook the poll to be what age are YOU, a Pink fan.
I would say mid 20s to 30s the majority, given when she got her start, but probably some younger fans too. I would say at least 50% the ages I've said though. |

she does appeal to all audiences but i think the core group is people who have known and followed her since the beginning. lady marmalade, the coca-cola ad, try this, etc. it's when she was most popular and let's be honest those were her best years. so i guess people in their 25-35's

I think early 20s to mid 30s are where her hardcore fanbase lies. The sorts of people that have grown up with one of her huge eras (‘M!ssunaztood’ to ‘Funhouse’ really). Of course, I’m sure teens and older fans aren’t exactly in a minority either!

I'd agree that her core fan base would be mid 20s to mid 30s, but she seems to have such universal appeal so she undoubtedly has loads of fans on both sides of that range. It's funny to think she'll undoubtedly have a lot of fans now who weren't even born during her M!ssundaztood album era.

I am 21 and I grew up listening to Pink so I'd imagine she has a lot of fans who are around my age. I think during her peak it would have been teenagers and young adults that did listen to her but shes got the kind of loyal fan base that sticks with her from album to album so she probably has fans of all ages. She is the type of artist that anyone could listen to though, my dad for instance has been a fan as long as I have and he's in his 50s, my mum's now also a fan but she didn't really get into her until TTAL. She's literally the only artist I think that I could go see live and my whole family would be willing to come too I noticed when I did see her live that I was quite young in comparison (i was like 13/14) and it seemed most of her fans were in their 30s (this was funhouse era) but I've met people at uni or where ever and found out they were at the same gig so it just shows shes always had quite a broad fan base.

I’m 23. So she was a big part of my childhood and teenage years and someone I’ve pretty much loved for like 18 years now.
Misunderstood and Stripped by Xtina were the first two albums I ever bought and hold so many memories. It’s crazy to think I was like 5 when she first came out too rocking the Pink hair and the motorbike in There You Go. This post has been edited by Jordan Lee: Oct 31 2018, 12:15 PM |

I have to say, although Pink hasn’t seemed too interested in her recent campaigns herself, she is struggling to remain relevant to teenagers at least a large majority of them. People don’t seem to be streaming her like they’re buying her albums or going to her shows.
I just feel like her latest album is losing momentum. |
