It seems that the new panel for The X Factor is Gary Barlow, Tulisa, Louis Walsh, and Katy Perry is replacing Kelly Rowland!
Shame they didn't take Louis out to the back paddock and get rid of him...
What's your source for this?
Nothing's been confirmed by the ITV yet, but there's loads of rumours that it's true.
Surely the 2012 series will be a big improvement on the disaster that was 2011.
It's April already and Little Mix seem to be forgotton about already. If they don't get a new single out by late summer, I think their X Factor "comeback" where they perform their first proper single will leave viewers thinking "who are these again?".
Tired and tested formulae.
I know only Gary Barlow has been officially confirmed so far. Yawn.
Louis Walsh has sort of been confirmed...
According to Cheryl's twitter...
I highly doubt if Katy would join a show which is probably on the decline now. I'm sure the other three will all be back and I'm fine with that, I liked last year's panel until Kelly started acting like an icy bitch (really not a good look for her).
I'd happily have them all f*** off, except maybe Louis. Katy would probably be a bit BLAND if she did go for it (which I doubt very much) and that's the last thing the panel needs.
Katy Perry bland? No!
Isn't she officially single now? She could find a new love in her new work place (UK X Factor).
Katy Perry is not confirmed, well I read it in the Sun paper
Kelly Rowland wants 1.5million to return to the xFactor.
Haha. She's having a laugh! Tulisa completely out staged her in last years panel. I'm sure Simon will find someone else.
Kelly Rowland can get f***ed. Last year was bad enough.
I liked Kelly Rowland on the panel but seeing as though her album tanked and Down For Whatever was only a 'mild' hit at best I don't think they'll want her to return.
Dannii Minogue to make X Factor return after Kelly Rowland departure? - would love to see this happen!
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s103/the-x-factor/news/a378970/dannii-minogue-to-make-x-factor-return-after-kelly-rowland-departure.html
Surprised no-one's commented it yet. Kelly Rowland's officially confirmed she won't be back.
Dannii Minogue rumours might be true then?
I'm glad she ain't coming back. She seemed to get worse and worse as each episode went on. The opposite to Tulisa, who seemed to get more and more comfortable. Hope Dannii does comeback though!
Good riddance. Kelly was only entertaining during the auditions. It was quite obvious she didn't want to be there by about week 3 of the lives and there were times she seemed almost as passive aggressively nasty as Cheryl.
According to Louis Walsh, there are 5 rumoured people apparently being considered... You'll never guess who's one of them
Anastacia?
IN YO FACE!
As if Louis will find out who it is until he reads it in the paper.
Oh please god don't let it be Mel B Having watched the Aussie X-Factor, she was an abysmal mentor, all her acts were gone before top 5 (her best girl came 6th), with her losing two acts in as many weeks in the first two weeks She had arguably the biggest talent in a girl called Christina Parie, but threw her under a bus with some of the most awful song choices I have ever seen, and she was just a bitch overall, to both the contestants and her colleagues. Ugh.
Mel B is living proof that fame really can go to your head. She was always my least favourite Spice Girl. I saw her once on The One Show (Adrian & Christina era) and they were talking about something quite serious with another gurst, and when they asked Mel B for her opinion she was just an airhead and clearly didn't understand anything they were talking about.
So she'd be perfect for The X Factor UK.
Out of the 5 mentioned I'd hope for Katy Perry, she was great on that one time she did a guest spot.
Nicole was alright but was too nice and not opinionated enough. Mel B I agree is too egotistical. Sharon we've had before and I don't know if Anastacia would be very entertaining (even though I love her music)
Glad Kelly R is off, and ecstatic Tulisa is back for the drama
I'd love Katy P/Nicole S to take the new slot!
Clearly Perry, Mel B or Skankface Sharon as they're clearly going to want to lure back as many viewers as possible in the revolving pantomine that is The X Factor. Perry would bring viewers as she's a big name and crazy, whilst the other two are just batshit crazy. Anybody seen Mel B's Jenny Craig advert?
Dermot has been confirmed as returning as the host; Caroline and Olly are still hosting The Xtra Factor, although Olly will only be presenting from the live shows onward. The first auditions are in six days' time, so we'll know the full judging panel then.
I would've preffered Caroline just by herself tbh, she's far more personable and professional. But then I guess Olly's bulge brings the viewers in lmao.
Surely Olly adds viewers, he's always trending (not surprising considering how many followers he has) while its on and plenty watch it just for him. TV exposure plays such a huge part in sales these days, it's win/win for both parties. Apparently JLS, 1D and The Wanted (who Flack slagged off!) are filling in for him.
Geri would be a fab choice. She looks great lately too.
I was discussing this earlier. Geri is annoying to the max, but as far as judges go I think they could do a lot worse. I'd be quite happy for her to stay, and she does bring a kind of bonkers (almost Louis-esque) charm to proceedings.
She wouldn't take it too seriously and get personal with the other judges if they dissed her acts the way Kelly did. I really can't stand the dynamic where two of the judges (Gary/Kelly, Simon/Cheryl) are completely snide and mean spirited and take pleasure in lording their popularity over the other two. Geri and Tulisa both get on great with Louis so I think that line-up would be quite refreshing.
Geri does have a proven track record on ITV singing contests having been a judge on Popstars:The Rivals and helped shaped GA. I vaguely remember her being the good kind of hot mess.
She was hilarious on Popstars from what I remember. They don't need a big name to help pull in the ratings or a old name, they just need someone who is full of personality and Geri certainly has that. Sharon would be a disaster and as much as I love her Dannii would be nothing new. I don't think people would really take to the likes of Alexandra, Katy etc. either.
I would love Geri, I loved her on Popstars: The Rivals (from what I can remember of it!)
Actually, what I loved most about that show is how the contestants would do backing vocals for one another. It was a nice touch.
I reckon Geri would be amazing as a permanent judge! Certainly a lot better than the rumoured Mel B and bloody Rochelle Wiseman.
I also heard Rita Ora mentioned, it was on the front of the one of the newspapers, so bullshit then
Geri would be perfection for me. I adore her and she has a lot of credibility, she will need to tone down on the chatter though as she can go on a bit!
Geri would put me off the show to be honest.
GERI IS IN THE BUILDING. (OR ON TOP OF THE CAR.)
HOW can one woman have so much POISE AND DIGNITY?
She's either trying to be controversial and wacky deliberately to make them want her (which could go either way for her) or she's learned nothing from her previous appearance.
She's just BEING GERI.
BOW DOWN!
Having been a witness to the Desire video, this is just not mad enough!
Ahh Geri
I bet the cray b*tch scratched that lovely Merc with those heels.
She's obviously just making the most of it in case the permanent position isn't handed to her.
Ugh. I really hope she isn't made permanent judge. The guest role is bad enough. So annoying, attention seeking and desperate.
I really doubt she will, I think she got heavily booed for the second time as a guest judge, so I think they should work out that the general public don't like her
Leona's looking... bizare:
God she looks terrible there!
They could do a lot worse than having the experience of Lulu. I think she would make a brilliant judge & mentor. I don't know why no one has thought of her.
After all look at Tom Jones (in his 70s) on The Voice or Steven Tyler (in his 60s) on American Idol.
Probably because she's a rancid scrotum.
I'd love a panel like:
Louis - Katy - Cheryl - Simon
I like Tulisa though, she's cool. And Gary is awful trying to be the new Simon, ugh.
Nicole Scherzinger confirmed for tomorrow's London audition.
What a STONE COLD MESS.
I hope Nicole does well on her London audition and gets the job permanently. Sure, she wasn't great on the US show but with her guest stint a couple of years ago she was great and looked far more comfortable as part of the UK show than the US one, I kind of get the feeling she feels more welcomed here so has a more relaxed attitude when she is in the UK.
Last time she was as exciting as a bit of gravel. IMO obv.
Mel B is today's guest judge and she, too, is looking awful:
Mel B always looks disastrous.
OMG THEO, what's THE QUEEN doing with Elizabeth II?
It was at the end of the jubilee service last night! The Queen was standing behind the other one as if they were bezzies Chez already IS best friends with Charles, so it's only natural that she'll get a damehood soon enough
Jedward judging the Manchester auditions today! Amazing.
Apparently Anastacia is the judge for Glasgow?! Hahahaa.
No doubt Josh will be ecstatic (unless he's still pretending to not like her anymore).
This series is a stone cold mess already. Just put the damn thing out of its misery.
Anastacia?! Then again she's doing a Skoda advert at the moment, so it couldn't get much more ridiculous.
As for Jedward all I can say is
Anastacia was awfully dull on Don't Stop Believin' (although that made The Voice look like Cirque Du Soleil in comparison), but she's still a better choice than Mel B
Talking of Mel B, apparently Gary Barlow really wants to be the permanent 4th judge, GOD NO. Mel, Gary, Louis and Tulisa would be an awful panel... But Mel B is signed up for X-Factor Australia for the new series which last year ran August-November, so would clash with XF UK, and I doubt she'd fly back and forth for XF Aus, especially because I think it was on Sunday/Monday (or it may have been Monday/Tuesday) last year so there's an overlap. Of all the guests, I can't see any of them being a permanent judge tbh, apparently Rita Ora really impressed but she'll be busy with her album so I doubt she'd do it. Then again, so is Tulisa.
I didn't think it was worth making a new X Factor thread yet, so I'll just post this here:
Carolynne Poole (X Factor Judges Houses last year, Fame Academy 3rd place) has auditioned again this year!
Hopefully she won't get stuck with Louis and I think she can definitely do very well this year! http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s103/the-x-factor/news/a386152/carolynne-poole-makes-x-factor-2012-return.html
At least the glasses are back. <3
The panel is ridiculous looking at the US version, they have BRITNEY for God's sake and we have Tulisia!
Anastacia! *waits for Josh to forget he no longer stans for her*
Simon apparently said that Louis was "the only man for the job" or something along those lines.
Now watch as all footage of him happens to be edited out
According to 4Music;
Nicole Scherzinger is set to sign a Ł750,000 deal to become the fourth X Factor judge and join Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos on the panel.
She was brilliant when she appeared for the first time two years ago, but are people going to take to her after her failure as a judge on The X Factor USA? I'm not so sure...
So glad that her career doesn't seem to be over just yet.
Yep, Nicole has been confirmed as the 4th judge. She was good on UK X Factor when she guest judged, not so much on US X Factor ... we'll see how it goes.
Nicole Scherzinger set for Ł750k X Factor judging deal
Source: MW
15 June, 2012
By Rhian Jones
Former pussycat doll Nicole Scherzinger has reportedly negotiated a Ł750K deal to complete the judging panel for next year's X Factor UK.
Despite being sacked from X Factor USA after just one season, Simon Cowell has decided to invite the singer back to the ITV1 show which starts airing in August.
Scherzinger is set to sign the deal within the next couple of days, according to reports, with the announcement of her appointment planned to come before the next round of X Factor auditions in Newcastle on Monday.
I'm over the moon!
I don't think her time on The X Factor USA will really work against her here..
It was on ITV2, they hardly get the same ratings
It's official:
http://www.itv.com/presscentre/pressreleases/programmepressreleases/nicolescherzingerjoinsthexfactor/default.html
I don't think the USA X-Factor thing will be too much of an issue. Being sacked by Simon Cowell hasn't stopped Cherly Cole. The whole Rachel Crow incident wasn't all THAT prolific over here, so it will only be the ITV2 viewers and internet gays who are even aware anything went down.
And let's be honest, the whole fiasco was an absolute mountain out of a molehill. No judge on the UK X-Factor has ever faced SUCH a backlash over a elimination vote, even the ridiculous ones like Simon Cowell repeatedly saving Jedward. And the US public all too inconveniently forgot that it was their votes that sent Crow to last place.
Having said all that, I can't say the prospect of her joining our panel particularly excites me. She was nice enough, but oh so very bland, and as it is it comes to something when the only personality on your show is Louis Walsh. I'd have much rather they'd have plumped for Geru or Anastacia, who would at least have provided some WTF banshee moments.
She was fantastic when last on X Factor UK, but terrible on X Factor US imo.
She is alright, but after weeks of speculation and all the guest judges... I think it's a bit of an anti-climax.
Boo! I wanted Anastacia.
How BORING. Definitely not bothering this year.
I'm usually pro-Tulisa but, WTF has she been wearing to these auditions?! She looks dreadful.
I like Nicole, but I really wanted Geri to be the permanent judge!
Nicole looks like she's got a stain on her dress underneath the belt. Tulisa just looks awful - here's to what's hopefully another carcrash year *raises glass*
Nice to see that the much needed injection of personality is coming in the form of someone who is also lacking in personality.
Oh god, I hadn't followed what happened with the X Factor this year and now I see Nicole is back on it. :/ The girl really has no dignity whatsoever, coming back to the UK show after a terrible terrible year on X Factor US and a boot. At least Cheryl had sense enough to quit the show after her US boot...
Well, it's no secret I don't like her anyway
Tulisa never stopts to impress me with her slutty looks, I like her
Gary, I hate.
Louis, funny enough but oh damn, it's been far too long now.
I'm actually really excited for this line up. Tulisa is my fave by far but Nicole was brill last year and I've always loved Louis
I'll be able to put up with Gary Borelow with the other three now!
I don't know whether to start a new thread yet for general X Factor discussion, but I'm very happy about someone who has apparently got to Judges Houses again this year!! I hope she makes it to the lives this time!! As long as what I've read is true of course!
I really like Nicole too so I'm looking forward to the judges this year. We should find out very soon which judge has got which category as Bootcamp finished today!
According to somebody on Digitalspy the judges categories this year are as follows:
Nicole - Groups, Gary - Girls, Louis - Boys and Tulisa - Over's
If that's true Tulisa has been completely SCREWED, esp since the overs are 29+ this year.
That's (hopefully) a lie. They'd never give Louis the boys. My early prediction is Tulisa - girls, Gary - groups, Nicole - boys, Louis - overs.
Why would they not give Louis the boys? He won with Shayne Ward, did he not? I.e. the only year he actually had the boys/girls category. Every other year he's had either the groups or overs.
According to a recent article on DS, the categories are Gary - over 25s, Louis - groups, Tulisa - girls, Nicole - boys. I think they're doing this so that they don't get any joke acts in the over 25s category
In other news, Gary Barlow won't be going to the US for judges houses as it clashes with his daughters birth and Beyonce's dad's girl group From Above have made it to boot-camp
That just upped Carolynne's chances
Also From Above are pretty good, they could do pretty well if in the live shows!
At least with Gary getting the 'overs' he has an excuse when he fails to win this time. Even though it will still be due to his crap choice of finalists. To be honest - I'll bet all the contestants in all the categories were dreading having Gary Barlow as their mentor!
I'm so excited to have Britney in my life weekly
I'm in two minds about XF this year. Most of me doesn't want to tune in cos last year was a disaster and Nicole isn't going to make things all better. But then part of me has to tune in in order to continue playing my fabulous X Factor driking game.
According to Tellybox - Gary has Overs - Louis has Groups - Tulisa has Girls - Nicole has Guys
ITV has confirmed the new series starts on August 18th - next Saturday
Can't believe it's just 10 days, crazy! So so excited, my life is gone for the next few months though
I'm not that excited tbh, last series was good but it's always been a bit meh recently and I can't stand Gary Barlow. Of course I'll still be watching though.
I'm off every Sat and Sun night so I won't have to record it for once!
Really looking forward to it being back! Hopefully a really good year, X Factor need it right now! Looking forward to seeing Leona and Rita Ora doing a bit of judging too!
Lookign forward to this as per! Not looking forward to the lives so much though. Not sure I could deal with the blandfests of Nicole and Gary week after week. Let's hope this year is at least equal to last year. If it's another Season 4 type of disaster, I don't think I could cope.
Looking forward to seeing Tulisa, Louis and Nicole. Not so much Gary :/
The audition stages really bore me, bring on the live shows!
The most performed song at the auditions was We Found Love, apparently around 500 people sang it according to DS! Etta James - At Last, Adele, Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran were also up there. Shockers
Wow...
Actual lol, Tulisa looks like 'oh dear god why I am even here?!?!'
Nicole's the only one who looks "normal" there. Gary looks like he's wondering where he is, Tulisa looks like she's just woken up and Louis, well, I don't know what he looks like...
Tulisa trying to challenge Cheryl in to who can most look like a lion.
It looks like they've given Tulisa some horrendous airbrush on her hairline, which in affect, just makes her look bald. Bizarre image.
Looking forward to the new series starting! I'm guessing this series will have a massive impact on iTunes too, and hopefully a lot of good artists coming on to perform!
Tulisa looks like she's wearing a wig, Gary looks like he's taking himself too seriously and Louis looks pleased that it's that time of year he's allowed out of that broom cupboard they lock him in for 7 months of the year.
Nicole looks normal but she's still not interesting enough.
Hmmm, this seems significantly less of an event every year. The judges especially, I can't say I'm really looking forward to any of them. I remember so little about last year, but I will probably watch the start of this one at least, I'll see if it engages me enough to rewatch when I return to uni.
Thirty seconds in and I'm already SICK TO DEATH of it.
And we're back! Hello season 9!
Yeah Dermot, every may be talking about Tulisa but I don't think she's so happy about the why.....[/sexvideogate]
First QoL moment of the night goes to Nicole then. *.*
You can tell that this guy's going to be in a boyband.
I hate this guy already.
I'm glad to see Nicole's HUGE SOLO CAREER hasn't been forgotten about *.*
Has Louis acquired himself a toupee???
Dying at Nicole <3 Fangirling RN.
Oh good LORD at this guy.
What a truly bizarre voice, like gravel in a blender.
Did those girls actually KNOW Shay? They looked like some kind of hired entourage.
I was not expecting that.
Will Young must be quaking in his boots with that awful rendition of Leave Right Now
That was clearly put on for TV, one would hope...
Great voice, fucking weird name.
LOVE that Nicole was more concerned with the menu
So I relented and tuned in. Looks like Nicole isn't so boring after all. Still, Anastacia would have been better.
That friend was literally shaking and crying!
Got that kid needs some valium or weed for his social awkwardness.
Fuck can he sing though.
Meh, its ok, but no one does Etta like Johnny Robinson.
It's obviously very good, but he's a bit of a blando.
Suggested hashtags? oh my GOD I love how LUDICROUS this is and we're only half an hour in.
Wait a minute, are they telling us what to hashtag on Twitter? My goodness the producers are controlling!
I can't even at that, technically good voice but the execution is horrible, I already dislike him. Even more annoying that the judges are raving over him.
Now prepared for weeks of hate.
I just can't get past Louis wig like hair. Where's mah hashtag for that ITV?
Nicole has already descended to the clapping seal stage *.*
It does seen that after her UTTER FAILURE in the US last year, Nicole has watched tapes of UK judges and is copying them.
Nicole is ALL ORIGINAL ALL THE TIME.
Trying to get away from P!nk by singing P!nk????
Well hopefully So What could return to the charts if nothing else.
Yeah, she was a bit average.
Yes, Louis, she looks like a popstar. She looks like Pink!
Strop alert!
Calling them out on their scripted shit! *.*
We needed a bit of entertainment. (except it was probably scripted too but you can't win)
Bless Nicole, such a STRAIN to find the right facial expressions
Hello ENTERTAINMENT.
BBC, this is why the X Factor rates higher than The Voice did.
So let's just be clear on this. We all know the producers asked her to sing Pink to create that fuss, right?
I think the P!nk tribute act needs to write an autobiography about her experiences. I think that the producers might have told her what to do. No need for that though, especially as she sang a second song!
-x-
Nicole is starting to annoy me.
What the fuck was that strop even about?!
Loving X Factor this year already. It's so awful but so entertaining.
Even if she was forced to sing Pink, she got to sing 'Next To Me' as well and she was very average just as Louis said. It was funny though
Aww, this little nerdy guy is lovely.
Now why could Mel B not have gotten the job?
This years Mr Robinson perhaps?
A LITTLE PETER KAY!
OH MEL, you absolute TIT!
Mel B: SAYS IT LIKE IT IS.
Mel is such a CUNT! Even Xtina would blush at this. LOVE IT.
*.* Mel B killing that little nerds dreams.
Mel B shouldn't be being painted as the antagonist. FOR FREE SPEECH! *.*
(she has a big point, I'm not liking a single THING tonight)
He was good but Mel was right saying he over did the 'funny personality'. If he just sang it'd have still been good. Tulisa describing him as a nerd already proves that personality is helping him get so much fuss.
*.* Cunty Spice! NU IDOL KLAXON.
Oh my God I am IN LOVE with Mel. Make her a full time judge please.
All this cuntery to a soundtrack of SPICE UP YOUR LIFE
I'm glad Mel B was not the 4th judge.
I'm IN LOVE with Mel now. Why didn't she get the job again?
I can't believe the antagonism. Wait till the live shows and Gary will be cutting down perfectly good performances to gain his acts votes.
Mel is amazing! 'To be honest, I was falling asleep' is my funniest moment of the night so far just because of how nice the other 3 were to the old man!
Sorry?
Mel B is a horrible person. She does not understand the music industry and she does not understand that gimmicks sell - she probably wouldn't have put One Direction or Little Mix through!
She has no excuses for being downright rude to people. She can't even pull it off!
None of those acts were particularly good in any way. Sure nerdy could sing, but his personality is god awful.
I love Mel B!
'she picked on an old man' WAH. The producers put him through cos he's crap. The other judges wouldn't have put him through no matter how nice they were to him. He's a bit of a fool for even bothering to audition if he knows anything about the show at all.
I love how you can't be mean to old people or teenagers but anyone between 20 and 65 is fair game.
I so hope Mel B tells this girl to shut up about her grandad and get through on pure talent.
Hello sob story/finalist #1!
That was beautiful. Now please don't go on about your grandad, you don't need to, love.
*drawing every last drop of forced emotion out*
And that is why Mel B should have been the full time judge. Not afraid to call a tard a tard and shower the real talent with the praise they deserve.
Some points from tonight:
- Sheyi was AMAZING - I have never laughed so hard at an X Factor audition.
- Mel B >>>>>>>> Nicole, as much as I like Nicole.
- Mel B is just doing what Simon would do, I back her up completely.
- ELLA TO WIN.
She had far more insightful comments to say for the good stuff too.
Not once did Mel say that anyone 'smashed it' 'has it all' 'is a class act' 'looks like a little something'.
And that is why they didn't pick her.
Wahey! Carolynne was shown in that montage at the end! Hopefully she'll get more airtime this time!
Oh, that was rather entertaining, I can't deny. Loved that Pink nutcase even if I suppose she had a right to be annoyed Agree about Mel B, good on her for calling out that shit, particularly that old man. This whole 'sweet old guy who's terrible, but gets through because he's old and sweet' is so tiresome now. Ella was of course very good, very impressive song as well.
Mel B is one of the reasons why X Factor AU is amazing!
(Ronan Keeting is more annoying than Gary Barlow though)
To quote him when he got the groups in series 3 of it, "i want to have the first band to ever win the x factor" Missing the fact that a band one the first series of X Factor AU
I loved Mel as well, she was hardly downright nasty, she just didn't praise EVERYONE totally. The nerdy guy with the guitar was indeed annoying, and the grandad was crap. She's just a bit abrasive and best of all honest but she pulled it off! LOVING Nicole already though, she was awful in the US but here she's even better than she was last time! Her reaction to Zoe was my highlight last night 'no baby nooo'!
Mel B was WONDERFUL and the only shining light last night. It was nice to see someone refusing to join in and patronise the 82 year old (because let's face it, that's exactly what the other three were doing).
I'm not sure if I fancy watching this series all the way through. Once the guest judges are out of the way, we're left with the snoozetastic Nicole Scherzinger, who did nothing last night to convince me that the producers hadn't made a terrible casting choice. Utterly bland.
Ella (I forget the name) was undoubtedly a great singer and deserved to go through on that alone. So LORD knows why they felt the need to force a sob story out of her (my grandad died when I was young - yeah love, there's millions of people out there who can say the same), and if you listen to the actual lyrics of the song, there's no way they were about her grandad (and if they were, she HATED him).
And although I'd have once swore it was impossible, this series actually feels even MORE manufactured than the last. By airing Zoe's audition, they've pretty much admitted they forced a contestant to sing a song she may not otherwise have wanted to. And those GODAWFUL contestant "conversations" are a new low. Bloody AWFUL.
I thought Nicole actually showed rather a lot of personality last night, or at least I enjoyed her as a judge A LOT. Her facial expressions, ridiculous phrases/timing all add up to a very enjoyable judge. I'd take her over the bit of never ending boredom and DOOM that is Gary.
I really enjoyed all of the judges, loved the Louis/Tulisa/Nicole "love triangle" they showed on the Xtra Factor, which was amazing as always! And glad to see Olly is still in the show now and then despite his tour commitments during the auditions!
Overnight ratings have been released and they are the lowest since 2006, but still pretty good and what I was expecting with this very hot weather over the last day or two!
The ratings were an average 8.09m (39.4%) on ITV1 (with a peak of 9.2m) and 616k (2.9%) on +1.
Although the actual rating is low compared to previous years the actual % of viewers is actually really good and about right. I think the hot weather and festival season will have meant lots of people were not watching tv.
Can anyone guess why it failed to attract viewers last night. ONLY 8 Million!
One of the reasons maybe that people are fed up with Tulisa?
Tulisa's fine, a good balance between nice and entertaining who speaks her mind. It's Gary who's already run his course, after only one series. He's just far too much like Simon COwell but a much weaker version, he thinks he's sat in Simon's chair so of course he simply must copy him exactly.
Nicole is already stealing the show though! I know they wouldn't have done 3 female judges and one male, but I think Mel replacing Gary would've been fabulous (although she obviously couldn't because the Australian version starts tomorrow and will be in live shows at the same time as us). As annoying as Louis can be it would be weird without him.
Louis is king. Fact.
I love Nicole with her "No baby no"
Anyway I'm bored of the sob stories and the "Oh let's get this girl to sing Pink and then get all angry" = more viewers. I'm surprised they even showed the "but you told me to sing Pink" as the producers quite obviously told her to do it
Mel B was f***ing AMAZING. We need a ring old c**t and she does it so well.
Also, I have to press the mute button every time shite spews out of Gary's mouth. My god, he's so infuriating.
The Fix Factor artist is back!:
BIG lol at Donkey Dannii!
Love them!
I only caught the end of it on saturday, but watched the Pink act this morning, what a brat she was
I never thought Sharon would want to be back on the X Factor, but after seeing this tweet, I wonder if they'll bring her back some day?
"To everyone who tweeted about @TheXFactor tonight, thank you - I miss you too! Tell Simon to take me back for season 10. #XFactor"
I don't mind the new judging panel... Louis, despite making terrible decisions at times, is the only original judge left, and he's usually quite inoffensive. Tulisa was my favourite last series because she said what she wanted to say quite well and didn't get involved in many of the arguments. It made me laugh out loud when in the introduction, they were like "Tulisa... The judge everyone's talking about" Nicole Scherzinger seems alright from the first show as well. She's already much better than Kelly Rowland who REALLY annoyed me with all her "Bless my little cotton socks" and "YOU SIZE SEXY" in a really high voice. Not to mention that she eliminated an act from the competition who later returned and beat all her remaining acts left in the competition. So I'm glad she's not back. As for Gary, I find him SO boring as a judge and he's like a really inferior boring version to Simon Cowell. There needs to be a judge to bring entertainment and drama to the panel, like Mel B or Sharon Osbourne!
Mel B is absolutely the pits. She's the Spice Girl I always disliked was the least talented and I dislike her even more now.
There's a way of putting people down and her's deffo isn't it.
Glad she didn't get the job full time.
Not usually into sob stories but Ella was the star of the auditions on Saturday.
Dear me, Mel B haters need to lighten up. If the rest of the panel put together even had an ounce of her personality the show would be amazing.
I know I'm late on this one but we're just watching this after recording it... but I just have to add my praise for MEL B who is absolutely the best thing to hit the X Factor in about 5 years. Every single one of her comments was DESERVED (possible exception of awkward geek fanboy who had a cardboard cutout of her in leopardskin) and it was a refreshing change from the usual saccharin comments we are subjected to.
I watched the first episode of the Australian series last night and Mel B was fantastic on there as well. In fact their version was infinitely better, hardly any sob stories, no editing disasters and all the judges are good (Guy Sebastian is a bit of twat and could be insufferable as time goes on but we'll see, he's very successful anyway as are Natalie, Ronan and Mel). There was SO much talent as well, and the host is hot (although Dermot is too).
And what do we get? A US reject, a Cheryl Cole wannabe and a boyband manager. Granted Louis had success with Westlife and others, and Gary as a part of Take That is obviously a big deal, but I think other panels put ours to shame and that could be one reason why people are turning off. Nicole is quite fabulous but the others just aren't that interesting, and the editing scandal with Zoe sums up everything that makes people hate The X Factor.
Yep exactly that, none of this wasting the first half an hour introducing the judges by playing snippets of their 'hits' interposed with shots of them standing in front of a wind machine with 'intimidating' music either! I don't know why we seem to focus so much on the drama and manipulation, maybe they think it equals viewers but it clearly doesn't. I just think really they need to go back to basics because it is meant to be a talent show by it's very nature. If you go back to 2008 for example (a great series) they had so much geniune talent but it was still entertaining with much less drama (although of course we still had Diana and her throat, Laura being booted off far too early etc.).
I'd agree they have become so ridiculous with trying to be dramatic. Showing all these wannabes crying their eyes out and lashing out at everyone afterwards. Spending what seems like hours introducing everything....just SING people SING dammit.
Maybe that somehow hooked people 5-10 years ago but it doesn't any more.
I had already been going off X Factor, but that first show confirmed to me I won't be watching it again.
OH GOD at this queen
Dear me he's dreadful. There's a finalist right there though. Urgh at Rita Ora.
Where is Mel B when you need her?!
I hope that's the last we see of him, just awful.
I think Louie needs an hearing aid
Rita Ora is NOT fit, shut up mate.
New Matt Cardle?
I think he's my current favourite (not hard), two great songs and I thought it worked really well.
It's been nearly 25 minutes and we've seen two people. I wish the auditions weren't live.
I actually didn't mind that, a bit different but can he sell records.
As there are no parties to attend tonight, I'm watching X Factor and...well, hmm!!!
The first fella was far too vain and was a HOT MESS (bringing it back folks!!! ) and his voice - whilst ok - was still far from extraordinary.
The second fella was better but I had to yawn at the whole "i'm singing a Rita Ora song but didn't know she was here" and then Rita herself claiming "you're a superstar". Really? I certainly didn't see a superstar but he's got the potential to be one better.
Make me a judge. I'd give Mel B a run for her money!!!
Love this girl!
Oh look it's Kate Nash.
f*** OFF
I quite liked that but if she goes through they will destroy her.
She sang her own song, it was fun, what happens when she has to do dance week or something? SHE FAILS MISERABLY, that's what.
It had humour but she isn't a star.
Someone on twitter compared her to Lena. Not as good obviously.
I love the track she sang, the lyrics were just great, I was thinking it sounded something Lily Allen would do
She was like Kate Nash. Initial appeal, but gets old quick.
An old man for Mel to beat up! Can't wait!
I don't know what's going on.
Poor Billy murdered a classic
Well, I thought she was good. That's all that matters. She reminded me of the Arctic Monkeys, and that's no bad thing.
She's going to be a star.
Good Lord, this whole episode has been a shower of shit.
Oh dear she sounds like she's packed with personality doesn't she?
Good GOD. That was just a series of BELLOWS and GRUNTS
This is going to be terrible.
I was right.
Oh DEAR GOD at that. It wasn't even singing, more like shouting.
Good grief what was that, I had to turn down the volume on my TV I never seen my cat move so fast.
Why am I watching this crap?!
GULLIBLE and a creature of habit perhaps.
This is the worst audition show I've ever seen.
This 'the judges are being so harsh' crew are lucky Mel B isn't there.
I wish I had a sob story.
Oh BOO HOO, my parents got divorced, I live in a flat and I used to be a thug.
TAKE PITY ON ME
Oh my goodness he's crap. They will put him through though. Now I'm wondering what the big girl sounded like since she got rejected without us even hearing her.
You remind me of a young Ed Sheeran
So tonight we've had a lad sing Rita Ora and get through, and now Tulisa's song and get through. Co-incidence? Of course not!!!
Louis Walsh "James you're so original"
Ed Sheeran AGOG.
Can we stop criticising good people please? Thanks.
Nicole: How did you prepare for this audition?
James: I slept rough for a few months to get my sob story. Then I begged my parents to make up for a 'heartfelt' moment. Then I learned Young off by heart to get Tulisa hooked. Oh and I tweaked it to come off 'original'
^Looool!
How overrated! In fact I only really like Lucy, Kye was good too.
I've just realised that I'm behind everyone else.
Did James get through?
Carolynne was shown again in the closing montage!! Surely a good sign that she will get a lot more airtime than she did last year? I hope so!
The last guy was really good as well by the way!
That was laughable, about 5 people shown properly and no-one was amazing. The Aussie version really does shit all over this, so much it's not even funny.
The last guy that sang was alright but nothing incredible.
A rather negative response - I actually thought Lucy & Kye were really good (except where he sang R.I.P at the end, it would've been fine on its own ). I thought Lucy was very refreshing for this show at least, although I can't help thinking she'd be better in Britain's Got Talent. James was alright too, but was my least favourite of the trio, I think he got as bit to shouty towards the end.
I dunno if this has already been said, can they STOP with these bloody conversations between contestants. Even as blatantly staged as they are, who actually gives a shit?
I can't say I cared much for ANYONE on tonight's show. Kye was the only remotely good one. And anyone who thinks that girl was better than the amazingness of Kate Nash can kindly SOD OFF.
The scripted conversations at once the best and worst thing about the audition shows this year. The at home scenes this week were a step TOO far though.
In other news, 'Last Night' is climbing up iTunes at quite a fast rate.
Didn't realise the Kate Nash wannabe actually had an album on iTunes. Thanks to Ryan for posting the video in the iTunes thread. I'm both and at the same time.
X Factor was FAR more enjoyable when they were in a small studio room with just the contestant and the judges
I HATE how cheesy it has all become with the back stories, audience reactions, fake conversations etc etc. The producers of the show must be like 60 years old to think that this all appeals to a wide audience I though Britain's Got Talent was cheesy and overdone!
I only enjoyed Kai's performance on last night's show. Everything else was horrifically overrated by the judges or just plain horrific. I'm yet to watch this week's Xtra Factor though, so I'm sure there'll be something good in there anyway. The editing is really ruining this show though
How many weeks of auditions do we have? I much prefer the Live shows where they can't really edit, and the judges houses/bootcamps are always a laugh too.
Kye is best friends with Fearne Cotton, I'm surprised they didn't hammer that into a little VT before his performance!
Probably because most talented chimney sweeps spend a lot of time with Fearne Cotton. It's totally their thing and she can't get enough of them.
She's really been given a humongous advantage over every other contestant so far, hasn't she.
OLLY IN THAT THUMBANIL *.*[/perve]
They will also be allowed to perform original songs in the live shows... How that will work on themed weeks I don't know, but clearly done for her. I do like her but I agree it's amazing what an advantage she's getting!
She's too much of a bloke for my tastes.
This is a first for X Factor in 9 years.
Last night's auditionee Lucy Spraggan has hit the chart at #70 with that song - LAST NIGHT
Really Impressive - That's just from the audition.
Looking forward to seeing Anastacia tonight. That's about it.
what was that
I have lost all my faith in Mel B after that.
Oh good LORD that guy is going FAR. Not that he deserves to.
SHE IS FABULOUS
Those poor poor kids
The Edge Of Glory was just murdered.
Anastacia
Chills! She did Janis Joplin proud! Hopefully she'll make it far into the competition!
I absolutely hate Joseph. And that was before I even heard him sing, eugggh.
Worst audition show so far, seriously none stuck out for me at all. Yawn.
Anastacia was funny though.
I thought that was better than last week. Last woman was great. I also like the guy with the kid but wanted to scream at the TV 'STOP GOING ON ABOUT YOUR KID!'
So last week the highlight was the Kate Nash and Ed Sheeran tribute acts. Tonight it was the turn of the Florence Welsh tribute act.
Loving the originality in these contestants.
On a (semi) serious note, I actually thought the Florence-alike auditionee sang really well.
It's just a shame that some decent sounding singers who get through get less airtime. That woman who kept chatting and giggling who sang 'Tell It To My Heart' will be this years joke act in the live finals. I feel sorry for her already.
CAN THESE STUPID PEOPLE NOT SEE THE CAMERAS WHEN THEY ARE AT HOME LOOKING FOR THEIR CLOTHES OR IN THE FRIDGE!?!
Britt Love off Mini Viva was on Xtra Factor She got through but she was just average vocally I have to say, she follows me on Twitter though and I loved Mini Viva so I hope she improves or something
Jade Richards' return was on as well, she did Love Is A Losing Game by Amy Winehouse but was nowhere near as good as last year. Melanie was the best of the night for me, I couldn't stand the one with his son (Joesph?), it was like 'just shut up about your bloody son and sing fgs', they're seriously running out of sob stories
i really liked the fairy girl (was that Melanie)? She wax oustanding.
Agree about the guy with the kid. Fully milking it, like he's the only father in the world Oh I know we'll chuck him on stage after to really get the crowd going.
I also think its really degrading how for like 5 minutes the crowd were wolf whistling and cheering. Can you imagine if it had been a fit girl and the crowd just went ballistic for them just because they looked good?
The audience at auditions is a dreadful idea. They can easily sway the judges opinions. Plus you just know they're told how to act with all those fake shocked faces we get close ups of. Also I've appeared in the audience on Jonathan Davies's Welsh language Rugby chat show and we were told how to react to everything so it's not a stretch to believe it happens at these auditions.
I've come to the stage where the auditions are just plain boring, they just keep on showing the bad acts which hardly make it in the finals, just a waste of airtime. Also annoying seeing the bad acts auditioning when they know themselves are not going to get through to Boot Camp. And what's the point of the Xtra Factor at this early stage of the auditions, they only show about 3 to 4 acts and the rest is behind the scenes stuff. I think they should show 2 shows over the weekend with the audition stage to get through them quickly.
Oh yeah, I know, but the 'chats' outside are just as scripted and ridiculous too. The bits at home really are the LOWEST OF THE LOW.
Joseph doesn't sing the typical X Factor audition song, and from a genre I don't particularly like myself, but his audition was very good. I thought he did it very well.
But I too am getting bored of the predictable auditions now. I really do wish it was just the four judges and the auditioner again.
I was very pleasantly surprised to see Britt Love from Mini Viva on Xtra Factor! I really liked her, but I feel like she could end up in another girl band as I'm not quite sure if she is strong enough on her own! However, I'd like to see her do really well either solo or in a band!
The whole audition shows are now a complete joke. Only 5 complete auditions again last night in a 1 hour show.
All these back stories are a complete bore. Who cares about them, what we want to see are auditions. Since they started live auditions it is rubbish.
I for one will not be watching until the bootcamp shows.
No wonder the ratings have gone down the pan.
Is it just me or have they always shown around 5 full auditions in one show with other auditions being shown in a montage with a backing track? It doesn't feel any different this year.
The conversations between contestants are just AWFUL though.
We're getting less of those montages this year I reckon.
Well, if they only focus on a handful of auditionees then we pretty much know who has made the live finals. It doesn't if someone who never got much airtime in their audition blows everyone out of the water at bootcamp, they won't have had enough airplay to "connect with the public" and so another excellent singer will be sent home whilst some lame excuse for entertainment sails through to the finals.
I'd be less miffed if X Factor could become more like 2008 where there were genuinely some decent singers who made the live finals. Sadly it's more for entertainment now rather than finding a world class superstar - hence the lower viewing figures and the lack of success for the eventual winner.
I genuinely laughed when I saw one of the girls from Mini Viva audition which was shown on the Xtra Factor. I really liked 'I Wish' too.
I haven't seen one band even audition yet. Unless I dreamt it.
And I bet they get a few bad solo or middle of the road singers and clamp them together to form a girl band and a boy band, like they did last year.
I can only remember one or two crap bands that were a joke, I know Matthew Knowles' (Beyonce's dad) girlgroup From Above made it to bootcamp though.
It's about time we had a successful mixed gendered group!
They should form a mixed gender group out of rejects for a change, still a cliche as they'd be forming bands but a slightly more refreshing take on said cliche
WOW! Very impressed with Melanie McCabe, remember thinking she didn't stand out much last year, but she certainly did there!
I didn't recognise Melanie at first, she definitely belted that one, spot on.
JASON
Christopher was nervous as hell, I didn't think he would pull it off in the end, but he did.
#tulisha
I do love an excitable Asian, they're always good fun (I hope this doesn't come across racist, I have a habit of doing that).. forever laughing at TULISHA.
Melanie is amazing.
TULISHA
Christopher has a good voice and you obviously can't deny that, but oh my god he had EVERYTHING that sums out how cliched, staged and predictable The X Factor has become - Westlife song to audition, 'I LUV MI FAMILY!!!111!11!!' heartbreaking VT, 10 minutes at the end of the show and (the icing on the cake) bringing out the nan in tears to meet the judges.
Christopher was very good. He didn't need to bang on about his gran for 10 minutes. Almost exactly like the guy with the kid last week. The only thing holding me back from auditioning really is the fact I don't have any particularly special relatives to wheel out when I get there.
Nice to see Oricon getting through to boot camp!
Double header this weekend. Will any bitches be watching tonight?
Jason was actually a very strong singer, especially for such a hard song to sing!
Melanie McCabe makes that three acts from last year's judges' houses to appear (two of them being Kelly's - another one is in an upcoming West End show (Sarah Watson), but I wonder if Holly Repton will also appear ). I wasn't a big fan on her song choice, but she definitely has a good voice.
Staged street conversations? Is there anything this show WON'T do?
Leona looks like a nun tonight.
I liked this guy who sang The Strokes song.
Oh get this pretentious hipster wannabe rocker douche off my screen now. It's like Mika if his balls had ever dropped.
Eddy
A... Great singer
B... annoying tw@t
He wasn't even THAT good a singer.
I wanted to shoot that guy in the crotch. Urgh, just awful.
But at least we know one thing, that's this years 'shit finalist who outlasts their welcome by about 6 weeks' sorted.
I'm gonna hate that bloke. You know he'll be in the finals at the expense of someone better.
Yes,Leona, the show has changed. In your day you couldn't get through the first audition by running around and having 'energy', you had to be able to string two notes together at the very least.
Eddie was awful. Very Frankie Cocozza, but I didn't mind Frankie...
He was like a shit combination of Frankie Cocozza and Russell Brand, with any slight redeeming qualities from either, sucked out.
at all these people frothing at the gusset for LEONA.
AS IF
These audience edits are getting cringier.
Another fat girl trying to be the new Adele.
I'm sorry, I prefer Eddie.
Small plug for Leona's FLOPSONG
Good God, we already have one FAT GIRL WITH VOX. We don't need MORE.
Leona's obviously had her head in the book of generic cliched comments.
Loving Leona! She really is amazing!
Like the use of Collide, I Got You and Happy so far too!
Oh! The new One Direction!
Joseph will love them.
Is there something wrong with my TV cuz that was terrible. Standing ovation? What?
They were alright. Not really bringing much to the table though.
It's absoltuely ridiculous how the crowd wet themselves over ANY group of vaguely good looking young males who can just about hold a tune....
They weren't quite as good vocally as the judges are letting on, but the harmonies were pretty tight.
Mitsou seem a bit different.
Groups are stronger this year. So, Louis won't be their mentor.
Oh dear, N-Dubz have a lot to answer for.
OMG! The white guy is awful. The other 2 are amazing though.
The random white guy even LOOKS out of place. That's before he even opened his mouth.
Well, THAT was predictable.
That was a bit cringe.
MK1 are better as a duet, the odd guy just didn't fit in at all, best of the 5 bands seen in that segment, and the first band can't remember their band name though, the rest were pretty shite.
MK1 could go a long way I think I really like them, the girl was pretty good.
MK1 weren't even that good, they were probably my favourite group so far but there's hardly been an abundance has there?
I thought MK1 were crap even without White and nerdy. They sound like a bargain clothes shop.
Kitty mark 2 ahoy.
WTF is this
SHE HAS QUITE CUTE LITTLE BUTT CHEEKS
Oh Nicole
I was waiting for a novelty act like her. I loooooove her!
poor Louis got an eyeful.
Wrong show love.
I'm not gonna lie, I absolutely loved every minute of that.
OMG THAT WAS HILARIOUS
Awful singing though.
Funny you should mention Kitty, because rather hilariously they hate each other, with Lorna claiming Kitty 'stole her act' - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2065978/X-Factor-2011-Kitty-Brucknell-copycat-Britains-Got-Talent-Britney-Spears-impersonator.html
Louis was uncharacteristically funny tonight for the record: 'What age are you?' 'Somewhere between 21 and dead' and 'It could be the Jeremy Kyle show and you'd be there'
Loved Leona tonight.
Was quite a good one, didnt enjoy last nights one, tonights was an improvement. I still havent seen someone AMAZING yet, for me anyway.
What concerns me with the Britney tribute act is how silly they look... it's the second year in a row they've wheeled one out and this isn't the first SYCO produced show this particular one has appeared on. The fakeness of The X Factor is becoming less subtle by the year. And the panel is SO boring, you know there's a problem when Leona's the interesting one.
New panel needs Mel B & Sharon Osbourne and 2 seat fillers.
Anastacia needs to join full time IMO.
MK1 or whatever as a duet were really good. Definitely my favourite group. Nobody else over the weekend impressed me, especially not that Frankie Cocozza tribute act!
They're all crap! I did like the Shakin' Chris act. Not his singing - which was good, working-men's club fayre - but nothing to write home about. But his pretending to be bricking it was priceless!
Just tuning in after Doctor Who. Did I miss anything?
She's never 24.
Diva is such an overused word.
Oh, COME ON, Gary. You wouldn't have noticed that kid if the script hadn't pointed her out. I'm so getting someone pregnant this year so I can wheel out a baby at next years audition.
I didn't realise that was Gazza's daughter at first, she was a bit wobbly.
There's a tiny bit about tonight's show on Bianca's wiki page which is frankly hilarious.
This girl has almost got every single XF cliche ticked off that checklist.
This girl is worse 'OH BOO HOO MY DAD HASN'T BEEN THERE FOR ME' for 10 minutes, only slightly above average singing and has the judges all wetting themselves.
I shall list the things I dislike about that last girl:
01 She's from Belfast and thus UTV will make out she's amazing and should win and have her on every ad break (they did it with f***ing DEVLIN last year)
02 Her dad is a criminal, I have no sympathy for that sob story.
03 She has awful diction
04 She was pitchy and not READY
One more audition show left and I haven't seen anyone that's blown me away. Anyone half decent kills it with overdone sob stories.
Ella's my favourite so far, easily, the only one I've really thought 'yeah, she's really good' - and now we're mates (not really, but sorta, but not really).
Just seen Hayley Evetts' (from Pop Idol) audition on Xtra Factor, one of the best of the whole series! really should have been on the main show!
Can't wait to see Carolynne tomorrow (she has been in every "coming soon" montage after each programme!), I hope she doesn't get montaged again like last year! I've seen a clip of her audition from This Morning and it is fantastic and will be one of the best of the whole series, if not the best! She sings Emeli Sande's 'Clown' - great choice!
I feel bad for Hayley because she's still a fantastic singer. But she got shoved on to Xtra Factor, therefore has little chance of the lives.
It was a bit annoying to see people talk about Pop Idol as if it were this little nothing show hardly anyone can remember. I know it's been ten years but it was huge and actually produced a big UK talent. Much superior show.
Loved seeing Hayley Evetts back, I didn't recognise her at first, and at 36, she looks amazing.
Really don't have any stand out auditions this year, where are all the good people? Completely agree with all the comments on the last girl and the majority they raved about were all average or mediocre imo. Hopefully they are saving the best to last with tomorrow nights show.
Only liked the 'diva' that sang Alicia Keys with the daughter.
The rest were pretty awful/mediocre. What do these judges see in them? And for the record Louis was spot on with the girl and her guitar.
Does anyone actually fall for these sob stories?
Jade Ellis's audition last night was by far my favourite of the whole series! Definitely what the show needed, and she has an amazing voice to boot. Finally I have somebody to support this year (something which hasn't happened this early on for quite a few seasons!). Probably my favourite audition show of the series as well, I'm glad the awful auditionees are finally starting to fade away/not get a yes.
I've already forgotton who Jade Ellis is. I've not found anyone to root for yet. Probably for the best as they'd poached all my favourites before we even got halfway through the lives last year.
I have a feeling Jade Ellis could be one of the biggest success stories from this year, she just seems like a popstar to me!
X Factor beat Strictly in the ratings last night in terms of the average throughout the whole programme - 8.6m for XF to Strictly's 8m. Strictly did have a slightly higher peak, but I think this suggests XF is on its way up again in time for bootcamp!
She really reminded me of when we first saw Rebecca Ferguson - down to the children thing as well as the soulful voice - and look at Rebecca now!
I really liked Jade Ellis too
Haven't really got a favourite yet though. A lot of the names are forgettable
I too, liked Jade Ellis. Slightly annoyed that she wasn't given a longer slot but oh well.
Dear me are they giving away the finalists already?
Oh LORD - get these cocky twats off my screen now.
and into a BLENDER preferably.
I wish everyone would stop serenading Tulisa. She's not that fit no matter what FHM say.
Next year after sleeping rough, having a baby and finding someone to play my adorable gran, I'm going to audition and serenade Tulisa. I will almost certainly win.
I thought those boys were going to rap, actually impressed, with the rock track from KoL
I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE ALL THIS TULISA IS SO HOT SHIT
She is not. She is a thick, average looking girl you'd see working in Tesco.
Tulisa is hardly ugly; in fact she is attractive but she's hardly like Cheryl Cole or anything - I could understand Cheryl getting the love because she actually is like unattainable out of this world but Tulisa is just 'normal girl' attractive.
Id honestly rather get it on with any of the guest judges over Tulisa. Anastacia and Mel B at the top of my list due to my milf fetish.
I wouldn't know where Tulisa's been.
Finally someone singing Titanium
Why was that Titanium guy subjected to a montage?! He's one of the best males I've heard yet.
George Shelley *.*
if he keeps his mouth shut
Yes, homelessness is the way forward in this competition.
A homeless! Great!
Oh YAY not we have a ''homeless'' guy
Isn't it odd how all the homeless people are amazing and never sent away with nothing?
The bags under his eyes are actually smaller than mine and I'm too privelidged in life to be talented.
A homeless guy, and gets 4 yesess
I can do that...
He was homeles AND had a strained/difficult relationship with his mum leading himto be in care - did he even have to sing?
Yes, it was just average for me.
I dislike the way I'm supposed to feel awful because I always got on with my parents.
I was discussing how boring my parents were with them yesterday, I'd get nowhere on this show.
That Danielle wasn't bad on the Adele song. She was bad on Jessie J though. Still she was certainly no worse than half of what's gone through this year.
She didn't have a dying/struggling/cute relative and she probably lives in a house though.
She had a short fuse though so the judges needed to be unimpressed because she was there for her reaction.
Oh I'm so glad Carolynne's realised she needs a sob story to get through!
Oh! She's 31 and still one of the prettiest and talented women I've seen this year. Lovely legs too!
First amazing audition of the series tbh She sounds SO much like Emeli Sande as well to me!
Carolynne Poole ftw please, just a beautiful voice, and I think she go through to the live finals if I'm right who is coaching the Overs this year.
Carolynne's instantly my favourite. It almost killed me seeing Louis pick the likes of Goldie and Johnny over her. And no one else has really turned my head. It'll also be really nice to see a serious overs competitor.
Too bad this overlong montage has taken the place of seeing some more auditions.
