i'm addicted to deal or no deal, best thing on channel 4! it's miles better than millionaire and the weakest link, and noel edmunds is great on it, it's turned his career right around! they're on about shunting it to a later time during the week cos so many people are missing it. i kind of like it where it is though, sandwiched between countdown and richard & judy, that's it's little home. gotta win some awards that programme. did you see Germaine the other day, the guy who took £75,000 from the banker and all along he had the 250k in his box? and all through the game he was cool as anything, you couldn't read him, totally blank! that's the way to play it!

i hope they dont move it, it would spoil it i think, agreed, noel has really made a stunning comeback..

Yeh, when they move it to a prime time position it will ruin the show imo. There's something very cheap and seedy about the show thats quite appealing and that wouldn't work on a Saturday night.

I love it, at Uni we had one of the exec's from C4 come talk to us and she said the format was used around the world before it came here and ITV were offered it before C$.
They obviously turned it down, I bet they are kicking themselves now it's on of the top rating programmes on C4 (if not the top rating) at the moment.

Extremely addictive.

Love this show. cheer.gif

I've always been a fan of Noel Edmunds though he makes the rest of the family cringe.

Missed the start of last night's show. Does anyone know if Marcus is in the entertainment industry?

There are some things I don't understand about it?

Are the contestants actors? Do they all live in a house or something until their time comes? They all seem to know each other...

They all know each other because there are the same 22 contestants for every show, with one being replaced each episode.

They make a few shows each day as well so that helps them get to know each other.

I thought Germaine looked like Neil Manson from The Bill!

i think the contestants are put up in a hotel awaiting their turn, after their go the go home..

i think its filmed in 2 sessions 3 episodes in each, so they are only away from home for 2 days at a time..

Yeah, they wouldn't keep them away all week!
It's like when whatshisface became ill and he was away for something like 3 or 4 shows - obvious it was just done in one day!

What was his name? Gerry?

Anyway - here's an online game of DOND - but its the US version = $h!t

I have been in the audience of Deal Or No Deal (back in December), as it is recorded here in Bristol. A very entertaining evening it was too. A lot of people dislike Noel Edmonds, but on this occasion he was a thoroughly nice bloke.
