The Runner Up...

So after 19 rounds and months of voting, Buzzjack have finally decided it's winner, but more on that soon. First we have our runner up which is the massive 'Poker Face', which was her 2nd single following 'JD' which introduced us to her brilliance, but this made a statement and showed that she was far from a one hit wonder. Even after listening to her debut album 'The Fame' for the first time back in 2009 it gives you that instant hit, and this was a pure standout that was screaming to be let out onto the world. Okay I do admit that the production isn't as fresh as it used to be, not quite ageing gracefully, the song still packs a punch with it's robotic vocals and explosive chorus that really stood out at the time and making it quite unique that became an even bigger success than her first single, which is something quite rare even by today's standards. Just imagine if original choice 'Beautiful Dirty Rich' got released instead, then things would have turned out very differently for Lady Gaga as to be honest that song doesn't have that special spark and wouldn't have been half as successful by any means. During the final round of voting there wasn't any competition, the winning song slayed this by miles as this received a whopping 40 votes. Anyway I'm very happy with the results and this and the winner are probably her greatest achievements.

And so this is it we are finally here after 20 songs and weeks and weeks of voting, Buzzjack have decided that 'Bad Romance' is Lady Gaga's best single, by an out right mile, as this only received 11 votes against 'PF' 40. It has been a clear favourite from the start that never received high votes throughout, in fact it's the only song to last 18 rounds with no more than 5 votes which is pretty incredible I must say. Even now it's still hard to come by a song that's got a bigger and better chorus than this, with production that's got so much going on that makes this pretty much perfection, even the lyrics are downright crazy while at the same time Lady Gaga excels herself. While 'The Fame' era introduced her, the 'Fame Monster' solidified her staying power and made her a force to be reckoned with. This is one of times where everything including the iamspamspamamisink is thrown in and strangely enough it works, showing that Gaga is at her best when everything is dialled up to 11. Making this song a true masterpiece where she was at the sheer top of her game, and sadly to this day she hasn't reached this height again, but for any artist it would be near impossible to reach this standard one than once in their career, that's not to say that she hasn't had some brilliant songs since then. Even to this day Lady Gaga remains one of the most interesting and diverse singers out there, and this is a clear example of her magic that she has shared with the world.
