Random post here and didn’t know where else to post.

So Jess Glynne is a record breaker in the UK for number ones amongst UK females yet she’s never won a BRIT.

Katy Perry was a record breaker in the US for number ones from one album and has had others since and before yet she’s never won a GRAMMY.

Weirdly both have won the other award. Jess has a GRAMMY and Katy a BRIT but what will happen first?

I feel like Jess is more likely to get a BRIT tbh.

Unfortunately, Jess will get a BRIT before Katy gets a Grammy.

Vom.

I'm very surprised Jess hasn't won a BRIT though!?

My friend was tbh that’s why I made this poll as in this instance they remind me of one another as they’ve both had a lot of #1s and are amongst the big names at the specific events mentioned.

For anyone wondering

Jess has had 10 nominations without a BRIT win
Katy 13 nominations without a GRAMMY win

I don't think either will, but I'm 100% certain Katy is past the point of bagging a Grammy at this stage but Jess COULD get a BRIT so... yeah, Jess if any. But, I voted neither.

Just looking at the BRITS females with the most #1s

And
Cheryl who is second doesn’t have one (she’s on 5).
Rita Ora doesn’t have one (she’s third on 4)
Geri doesn’t have one (also on 4) (must mention Geri doesn’t have a BRIT as a soloist)

So yeah #1s mustn’t be seen as that big a deal for them.

They're more about credibility, I guess. She seems less "credible" this era, I have no doubt she'd have won in her first era if she wasn't against Adele.

Depends if Jess features on something that could win Best Single I guess... But sadly I think the competition for things like Best Female are a little tough at the moment (particularly with Jorja Smith, Mabel and Dua Lipa all doing well), though she could always do well with her third album.
