The new content is looking very good! I haven't played the original on the Wii U either, so I'm looking forward to picking this up when I finish 3D All Stars (which may be a while laugh.gif)

I played the WiiU version and this was probably the best game at the time on that console. I will no doubt buy this for the switch but I’m not paying £50 which is the cost on Amazon right now!

I agree that this does look good from that trailer. I suspect I'll end up getting this one as I usually relent when it comes to Mario games happy.gif

Switch games seem to usually be £50 before release, and come down to about £40-45 when they come out laugh.gif

I already have this pre-ordered. I was on the fence but apparently this was a must have for Wii u and one of the best ever made mario games, so I feel compelled to get it. The trailer was also fantastic.

I have it on the Wii U and remember it being really good at the time, but never replayed it since like I have recently with 3D Land on the DS (but then, the DS is much easier to pick up and play than the Wii U, which I don't even have out by the TV anymore). The extra material does look great though, so I'll definitely pick it up for Switch too.

They used to be about £40 when they come out but since lockdown last year I’ve noticed the price has gone up for many games particularly on Amazon.

3D All-Stars is already £36.99 on Amazon so it might be worth waiting if you're not desperate, I'm not going to get this just yet as I still have all of Sunshine and 64 to go laugh.gif

Going to get this but not sure whether to get the steelbook version (currently £49.99 on Amazon) or the normal (currently £42.85 on ShopTo). unsure.gif

I've bought this today - the steelbook version! I feel a bit bad about spending £49.99... but my birthday is a week today, so I thought I'd treat myself cool2.gif

I have this game on Wii U... but I don't really have strong memories about playing it, weirdly. I had to double check that I actually own it! I suppose it's the fact that it's been 7 years since I played it. So I'm looking forward to rediscovering it, and Bowser's Fury looks great.

The Wii U was such a clunky console, with that large gamepad. I remember enjoying playing The Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker on it though.

Agree with all of this, I got the game with the steelbook on Friday and have spent a couple of hours with it and my memories of it are so vague, which is weird because I remember Super Mario 3D Land really well and that was a couple of years older. It's really good though, and Bowser's Fury is great so far too, quite a unique USP with Bowser's literal fury causing a temporary change to the gameplay dynamic being the twist!

I think all but two of the Wii U games I owned have now been ported to Switch so it's almost pointless keeping hold of it, although they did port the GBA version of Super Mario Bros 3 onto the Virtual Console with the rare e-reader levels, so I do at least still return to the Wii U for that. And some of the N64 games I downloaded on it too, seeing as there's no N64 app for the Switch.
