YAY for Usfland! I really wanted to be optimistic and predict them through but still thought they'd have just missed out! Hope it can be their biggest hit for a while now.

Syndare That was a big grower for me, which I guess as usual isn't ideal for BJSC.

Surpried to see New Lexico in, continuing the year of slaying a bit I guess! Can see it being the Antti Tuisku of this contest though.

Knew Tartford would be through this time! Really strong 80s-y pop song. Hooray for them getting their first Q streak of 3. Like Avalonia's song too!

Eek at Cumulonimbia, it was a nice song (13th in my votes) but not really surprised at it not picking up the points unforch. So close to a first ever nul pointer yet again though!

Will feel quite guilty if Aeroche didn't make it when I told him it sounded like an easy qualifier at a time when he was considering changing. Will also feel bad if it only just missed out, I reckon I'd have given it some points but the semi did sound really strong.

Okay that is really quite bizarre, I had Aeroche on for possibly winning this semi??? Congrats to Spadz, I didn't like your song at all really but it's always cruel to DNQ so many times in a row and if this song failed to get through such a perfect semi for it there would be something really funny afoot. (Not that there isn't already with Aeroche being out).

Shocked. Semi 1 results didn't go as predicted at all, compared to the relative lack of surprises in Semi 2.

I do adore the Triangledonia song and it would have been so sad to see it DNQ, hopefully it was top 5/10 in the semi and can smash in the final.

Just trying to process the results and I guess that even though this was "a dance semi", a lot of the people actually sending dance this time aren't generally known for doing so and have a lot of love for a lot of other genres too, hence a lot of the non-dance songs getting in at the expense of some of the dance.

Oh wow at Aeroche not a vintage Aeroche entry, but I still had it down as a cert! Guess they're a country I think to be eternal qualifiers and the world falls down when they're out I wasn't really a fan of Triangledonia's song, but WD Spadz for breaking that rather awful DNQ streak!

#00274E's qualification streak finally counts for something as Aeroche's DNQ sees them take the lead, tied with Taahino in terms of consecutive contests but doubling them when ignoring the breaks from the contest! It also matches their previous longest streak of finalists in consecutive contests, of 9 in a row. TARO Bellamia have also matched their best streak to date of 5 in a row, while 7 other countries extend their personal bests and Suedeonia finally lodge their first qualifier (leaving Aelandor the only active country still waiting it'll happen soon I'm sure!)

Bhangra have 3 consecutive finalists, but the last two stretch all the way back to the original One Big Final era!

Well I hate to enable you but I had this in-out run in 2013 and people kind of started to call me that then? But you're only really a serial DNQer when you get 3 or less entries in all year, you're still 3 for 3 and 7 for 3 if we do the last 10 contests.

We sure got rid of a lot of long streaks this contest.

I still haven't managed to do a semi 1 listen (will catch up with the DNQs soon~) but the Aeroche DNQ was a shocker nevertheless! Because it's Aeroche/the odds it was getting.
