The form asks for mp3s which presumably some people will make use of, so I'd say the song should be at least a bit fitting too. And as much as I enjoy the whole music video thing, it is a song contest tongue.gif

Well in the last contest there was some songs where the music videos were more spooky/Halloween vibes than the song itself was there not?

Yeah I remember there were. I mean those songs' themes may have been spooky too in some way if you were to look into it. I'm just saying if it's literally just the music video that fits then I wouldn't really agree with that tongue.gif

lol yeah that's probably one of the entries Harry was referring to, I remember the video being spooky. I don't remember the song but like I said, if I was to look into it, I might be able to find some spookiness in the sound or in the lyrics too tongue.gif

I'd say it has to be either sonically or lyrically halloween-y and not just have a spooky video as not everyone listens via youtube etc

Tbh we did actually allow songs with a spooky video (Phlox & Chet Faker) last time as I felt it added to the atmosphere & package of the song but in retrospect, the songs didn't have much else horror-y about them at all so they did stick out a bit. We were kinda super lenient as we wanted more people to partake laugh.gif I don't know how the veto panel are working this time, but I'd guess it's pushing it a bit.

That reminds - I actually have no idea what language (if any! tongue.gif) my song is in, the vocals convey a ~mood~ more than anything else I guess.
