Adele hinted at her concert in Glasgow that Send My Love is the third single from 25!
(thanks to ATRL for the pics)
Excellent choice I think, an uptempo was definitely needed after two ballads! If it turns out to not be the single, I can change the title
I AM READY *.*
She needs to release an uptempo, and whilst I would prefer WUTB, this is a good choice too!
Let's hope a video actually gets filmed and released this time round
Always felt that this has the potential to get very irritating with the inevitable overexposure that comes with her single releases. A catchy song and solid single choice still though, and it's good to see a different side to her getting pushed.
YES!!!
MY SECOND FAVE ON THE ALBUM AFTER HELLO!!
ALWAYS SAID SINCE XMAS IT WOULD BE A GREAT SINGLE,MUUUCH BETTER THAN WWWY WHICH IS NOT A CLASSIC AND ALREADY FORGOTTEN!!
Then Water Under The Bridge annd over.
Zzzz. She made no effort at all to push 'When We Were Young' and I don't even know what was going on with 'All I Ask'. Pretty sure she'll change her mind on making a video, perform it... once (?) and that's it. And unlike in 2011 I don't think that's enough for a hit.
I find this the most irritating song on the album. I always skipped it and don't really want to hear it on the radio!
I would have rather had Remedy or Water Under The Bridge, but I don't mind the song.
Love this, really hope she does film a video for it. I guess she'll film the video after her UK leg of the tour when she has 3-4 weeks off.
I love 'Send My Love'.
YASSSSSS!!! She needs to be on a beach in the Caribbean sipping cocktails.
My fave song on 25!
Adele has confirmed she has filmed the music video and she's dancing in it!

this is such a bop, when the album initially came out this didn't leave my head for days, as a summer single too at this stage of the album release schedule it is just perfect and also a new side to adele in quite a few ways...impressed!
question is tho
will sean paul feature on the single version?
Great choice. She's been dead on so far with single choices so far, Water Under The Bridge for 4th single though please (if she gets round to a fourth that is).
With the tour going on until November I think we could get another two singles after this - Water Under The Bridge for definite and maybe Million Years Ago, I feel that would resonate with people and it proved popular upon 25's release.
I cannot wait for the video for this, apparently it was filmed last Monday so could see it in the next week or so hopefully
Ready for this to smash and annoy everyone with the excessive radio play
I disagree, i would regard when we were young one of Adele's finest singles.
Best song on 25!
Was WWWY considered a single?
It was released on Spotify and sent to radio too. Why wouldn't it be a single?
But when it came to promoting it as a single... she performed 'All I Ask'?
I am certain as well with 21 she performed other songs as well. She is typically an album artist though so wants to showcase that as much as possible.
Perform other songs? She had two major TV appearances and performed 'All I Ask'? When WWWY was a single...
Forgive me if I'm wrong but bar 'Hello', what else has she performed from the record as promotion?
That's actually quite a big difference.
Little Mix performed an old single and a new single they were kickstarting.
Adele performed an album track when she was trying to kickstart her new single, when she could've performed the new single and propel that into the top 10
It'd be like if Little Mix performed ADIDAS on the X Factor instead of LMLY.
When We Were Young was clearly the single, it had artwork, a digital single on iTunes/Spotify and got sent to radio (in the UK at least). No two ways about it.
That wasn't even what the discussion was about anymore?
We were just wondering what the reasoning behind her performing other songs instead of WWWY
(And the album artist argument seems kinda odd, when her singles were performing incredibly well during 21 as well)
I am well aware of that
Then I am confused why that randonly pops up when that discussion was done with ~10days ago
I apologise for posting my thoughts.
Ur allowed to post ur thoughts, I was just wondering if you misunderstood the discussion that went on in the past few hours or something. No need to throw ur toys out of the pram
Careful Tim, you'll be getting a very passive aggressive PM soon if you're not careful.
Supposedly the artwork!
Assuming this'll go on Spotify on Friday?
Looking forward to a new Adele song on the radio, WWWY killed still a beautiful song though.
Oh YES. Let the hype begin! The preview looks good too, bring it!
I'm more excited by this now - looking forward to the video looks slick, strong and cool.
So excited! Love the single cover.
So excited for this release to get going!
This is now on Spotify!
I'm really excited for the video for this. It looks set to be completely different to anything shes done so far and the fact she is dancing as well is just
Video:
Love it.
Can't decide whether I love it or hate it. It's perfect in its simplicity but the overlapping Adeles are a bit of an eyesore.
I can't believe how someone as amazing as Adele can release such a mockery of a video.
It is awful, half-arsed and the effects make it actually hard to watch. A total mess. She will get away with this because she's Adele but any other big artist would get backlash for releasing something as dreadful as that video.
Seriously, Adele, I don't get what's your problem with videos.
I really liked the effect, but I just wanted something..more..
I don't think it's as shit as people are saying though, well executed for what it is.
You can tell this was recorded in between the tour but I like it for what it is. It's not the sort of song that screamed amazing video anyway.
I thought someone slipped a substance in my drunk. These double adele effects wereso weird and it looked a mess
Only Adele can make a video this boring for an upbeat song
Well that was disappointing, but at least we got a video!
First watch was pretty boring and an eyesore in which I had to double take but I think it's probably her most standout video after Hello.
I wish Adele actually gave a f*** to make a decent music videos outwith just that of her lead singles.
Some of her songs are so cinematic (not really this one as much, granted) and really lend themselves well to some great visuals. Would make her eras feel more exciting and more like an artistic event as well as a commercial one.
I was so disappointed. The special effects ruined it. Thought it was starting to improve around the second verse but it just got worse again by the end.
You'd think she could at least afford a hair brush!
Only listened to the song for the first time today, it's not what I'd expect from Adele at all and because of that I'm digging it!
I am an Adele stan and could only watch 30 seconds of the video, What a mess - Looks like it's a fan made edit! Will be interesting to see if the single makes any kind of impact - Can see it missing the Top 40 officially.
Could this has to do with the fact she signed to a new label?
Maybe her current label can't be arsed to pay videos when they know she's moving to a new label for the next album?
Sounds like a poor excuse but I need to find a reason for that mockery
She only made one music video last era... Be glad we got one lol
Rolling In The Deep and Someone Like You tho
I don't think 'Someone Like You' really counts as a music video that got "made". It was one 4 minute shot of her miming on phone cam.
Lol she was across Blackfriars Bridge and her friend filmed her on a phone. Hardly a music video.
I don't blame her for snapping up the reported 90 million deal with Sony but I always loved the fact she was with XL - A global superstar on an indie label.
"Her friend filmed her" makes it sound like she plucked a random to do it on the cheap; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jake_Nava has directed loads of high profile videos.
This is quite good! Better than Hello
What a truly horrific video. Her album campaigns would be far more interesting if there were great visuals to go with the songs. I don't really rate this single choice anyway but I might be able to like it if the video sold it to me. Her only good videos are Hello and Someone Like You.
why are her visuals so weak when the audio is so strong? seriously she has the best vocals why not accompany it with an equally stunning visual?
the Rolling in the Deep, Hometown Glory, Chasing Pavements, Cold Shoulder and Hello videos are all in their own right either cinematic or iconic (coff coff flip phone) and then for the remainder of her singles, she either doesn't have a video (Skyfall, When We Were Young, Rumour Has It etc.) to go with the song or when she does it seems half-hearted e.g. Someone Like You, Send My Love. I don't know, wish her team would pick up on this. I mean I get she's on tour but it's becoming a running theme which is a bit of a joke when she releases an album every 5/6 years?
Also this is probably my favourite Adele song since A Million Years Ago which I first heard when 25 came out, happy it's achieved a top 40 placing. Hope it climbs further!
This is finally picking up some steam now - 21 on Spotify and 22 on iTunes! I hope it can sneak a week in the top 10 like WWWY.
omg LOVE this song! heard it for the first time today and i'm soooo super into this
ps the video is gr8 everyone bye
The video is a good idea - an Adele for each of the voice overdubs. But it could have been done a lot better. As for the song, I dont think much of it.
Very interesting
