Iv got the album and it's ok just nothing special and Shayne could do so much more but has obviously been advised to go the safe ballad route. Really hope the album does well as his days of having a hit single are over

Album at #62 and single at #150 on iTunes... Everyone seems to have the physical album from the Pledge Music campaign and hopefully physicals will also sell well at his HMV signings

For me the melodies on the album are nice enough for the most part but the production on almost every track is horribly dated. Mike Stock was such a strange choice of producer to work with, half of these sound like Scooch leftovers from 15 years ago.
I do like the cover of About You Now though and the acoustic version of No Promises (i.e. the songs where the pre-historic production can't be heard). |

Album is #11 in today's mids then - Really thought it would be around the #6 - #8 mark on the first update

#11 is so much higher than i expected. I know it will drop, but a top 40 place looks positive. Has Shayne promotion lined up?

No apart from what he's done already it seems he's throwing everything at the HMV signings (Which is not a bad thing) - Including today's ones he has 7 more signings for the UK and 2 for Ireland. I'm guessing to be at #11 he's sold around 1,500 copies so far - That's why I'm disappointed I thought the Pledge Music pre-orders and the 2x HMV signings he done on Monday would have amounted to more? |

It's not like he has much of a fanbase anymore top 40 is going to be an achievement. He's long past the days of success.

Maybe I was just getting my carried away that the Pledge target was beaten by over 200% and there seems to be a massive a twitter campaign - I guess based on the performance of his last album which was backed by Syco and flopped then your right Top 40 is an achievement. |

Pleased that Shayne's album has held up well so far, It's gone 11-12-14 in the mids. Just hope it doesn't go into free fall now as his last UK signings were today and as sales are SO close he could easily be pushed down 15+ places and it's also almost out of the iTunes Top 150 too

Pleased that Shayne has held no 14 in todays update but with no more signings to add to sales I hope he doesnt drop too many places. Still hoping for a top 10 position but know thats being optimistic.

Just bought another copy as Google Play have the Deluxe Version for £7.49 - There has been so much multi buying taking place and I have seen people tweeting pictures of 5+ copies so I hate to think how this will drop next week! Can see it having a chart run of something like 18-97-Out

Pleased he managed to keep a Top 20 place officially entering at #17 today - 4th consecutive Top 20 album even though it's going to plummet next week

The single has grown on me a little bit, even though it's immensely cheesy and out-dated! I'm in no rush to buy the album unfortunately.
(I still think his talent is greater than the majority of his material has dictated... it's a shame). |

I only like two songs on the album. Moving Target is good and the single is alright. The rest is a bore fest apart from The Way we were which is middle ish.
He'll never top Breathless ballad wise or No Promises. He's had some good songs over the years. I dont think this direction was wise... 4,000 albums sold. Not bad. It'll drop fast though. This post has been edited by sajjadali: 20th April 2015, 10:30 PM |

I don't know why he's gone with such a dated sound instead of something current. 'About You Now' and the acoustic 'No Promises' are easily the two highlights. |

Listened to the clips and oh my god this sounds tragic But I guess he can't get the best producers when he's funding it on Pledge Music and doesn't have a label etc.
It's a shame because Breathless was a great album and tbf I liked his debut at the time. Plus he does have so much talent, but it's being wasted. |
