The Material Girl’s discography is a gold mine of pop gems that were overlooked for the single treatment, and this twinkling Confessions On A Dance Floor track is no exception. With airy vocals over a subdued disco beat, this song is practically sonic ecstasy. Fun fact: this wasn’t Madonna’s first “Forbidden Love” -- a slow jam on 1994’s Bedtime Stories has the same name. -- P.C.

Her best album track and one of her best overall.

Thought you'd be pleased with this! 
'Forbidden Love' would have made a great single; it shows the deeper side to the album and another example of Price's fantastic production.

I'm not keen on that article at all. It's basically the same bunch of artists being used again and again (Britney, Rihanna, P!nk, Drake, Eminem, One Direction). There's not much variation at all.

Agreed! Madonna's such a good storyteller with performance and I think an official video could have been fantastic had it been a single.

Amazing song.
