Mahalia has announced her debut album, featuring the singles I Wish I Missed My Ex and Do Not Disturb. The latter is absolutely stunning and deserved to be the song that broke her through to the mainstream sad.gif Hopefully something on here does it for her because she really deserves the success that Mabel has been getting!

Tracklist:
1. Hide Out
2. I Wish I Missed My Ex
3. Simmer (feat. Burna Boy)
4. Good Company
5. What Am I
6. Regular People
7. Karma
8. He's Mine
9. What You Did
10. Do Not Disturb
11. Richie
12. Consistency
13. Square 1

Yesss I absolutely love her, she was so good on tour as well!

I have a feeling she will be one of those artists to be paid dust by the public though which is a great shame sad.gif. So excited for the album though!!

Yes, Simmer is a bop! It's not doing well but I was surprised to see it as high as #59 seeing as it's not really doing anything (as far as I'm aware) on Spotify or iTunes!

I can’t tell whether simmer uses a sample or not, possibly Freak of the Week by Krept & Konan?

It samples Beenie Man's "Who Am I (Sim Simma)", which itself takes its instrumental from Jeremy Harding's "Playground Riddim". Same sample as Krept & Konan's "Freak of the Week", yup.

In any case, it's great that this has given Mahalia her first T100 hit (up to #69 this week)!

I hope "Simmer" can climb its way into the top 40. I've only recently realised that she sings "I Wish I Missed My Ex" and "Do Not Disturb" - I've been bopping along to them on the radio at work for months but never realised who it was. I prefer those two to this song, but would be nice to see something of hers chart in the top 40.

She is beginning to grow on me - love Simmer and Do Not Disturb. Her album may be one I want to stream rather than purchase so will give it a listen to.

This is out there!

What I Did with Ella Mai is so good wub.gif I'm only a couple tracks in but I'm loving it so far, I love her voice. Hopefully with the album's release it can push Simmer to the Top 40.

It does puzzle me how 'Simmer' didn't go Top 40 for Mahalia. It sounds great.

I saw her live last night and she is honestly such a star! wub.gif Her speeches and the way she carries herself was so good, she had tonsillitis and she powered through it with such a fun atmosphere. 'Simmer' 'What You Did' 'Wish I Missed My Ex' 'Good Company' and 'Do Not Disturb' being the highlights.
