Ok even though I feel that this will be her first 'proper' album as her other release was just the songs she done on X Factor Aus but both wikipedia and her official site are listing it as her debut.
She is one of my favourite international X Factor winners. What You've Done To Me would have been huge over here if she had released it here properly but I guess she is busy in Oz, having just won the XF. Here is her debut single: What You've Done To Me which has gone triple platinum in Australia. QUOTE Jade's debut single, What You've Done To Me, hit No. 1 and has registered three times platinum, meaning sales of more than 210,000. Her self-titled album of tracks she performed on The X Factor peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA chart. After touring nationally with fellow X Factor competitors, Jade hit the studio and has been working on material with songwriters DNA, the chart toppers behind Jessica Mauboy's Running Back and Justice Crew's Boom Boom. Now based in Sydney, Jade, 25, spent a few days with her family in Perth last week before returning to the Harbour City to head back into the studio. Her first original album is slated for release through Sony Music mid-year. "It is definitely going to be pop," she says. "But I want to play around with the sound because these days, pop is a little bit of everything." Read more: http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/music...0#ixzz2RsCuR83u |

Her mother passed away in the first half of the year, it's delayed the album indefinitely.
She did post a studio pic on Facebook at the start of August. I beluebe we'll get it between November & March. |

I really hope it's out soon I obviously understand her mother's death delaying things but it's ridiculous they took even that long with it! Next Monday, we'll have had two winners since her and it's not as if her singles didn't do decently for an Australian female. Then again, the only locally successful Australian female who seems guaranteed to release an album on time is Jessica Mauboy, I don't understand why the industry doesn't support them as much as international acts... It's like Sia, she was only successful properly in Australia after the US took to her!

Yeah they seem to support more male artists for whatever reason. Sammy is doing well. If her next single is successful, she will become the first x factor winner / contestant to have 5 consecutives certified singles which is rare when most of these kinds of acts always seem to have at least a couple of flop singles (Reece: 2 - Nathaniel: 1 - The Collective: 3 - Taylor: 1...) + she's a female australian artist which is even more impressive in her case.
I really hope we will get a release date for the album tomorrow but i'm sure it's gonna be another single announcement. I kind of lost hope. I don't know what Sony is thinking by taking so much time. Dami will release her 2nd album less than a year since her first one. Sammy could have done the same thing and release her follow-up album during the time Soldier was out. I mean it doesn't take 2 years to record like 10 / 15 tracks for an album :/ Anyway let's hope that tomorrow we will get the news that we've been all waiting for |

The last time she spoke about the album she said it'd be out in June and that was after her mother became sick so I'm not holding my breath.
When did her mother die tho? I completely missed that |

Sammy said her album would be out in june when she was promoting "Up!" in april / may. Oh that's sad and it does explain why she didn't release the album, I didn't even know she had died. Hopefully we'll see an ealy november release possibly, with the single coming in the next 2 weeks? |

After her mum passed, Sammy spent a lot of time with her family, and they went to a few countries, they spent some time in England. I think she wanted to record a couple of songs in memory of her too.
