A year ago, we had this topic as well as the lead singles topic. How have your views changed in a year on Rihanna's albums? |

01. ANTI (my album of 2016 and one of my favorites if not my favourite ever, every song has a different meaning to me and what she wanted to do worked so damn bad <3)
02. Rated R 03. Unapologetic (never thought I'd ever put this this high I think I put this 5th or 6th last time round but relistening and rediscovering primarily the album tracks has made me appreciate this album so much more and realize how much I underrated it! Definitely her most underrated album ) 04. Talk That Talk 05. Loud 06. Good Girl Gone Bad (a lot of great songs on here but you can tell she's only just becoming HUGE, I honestly haven't came back to a lot of these tracks recently but while I wasn't a full on stan it was the first era which made me take real notice of her) 07. A Girl Like Me 08. Music Of The Sun |

1. Rated R- the first album I ever downloaded when I had my iPod nano and was already a Rihanna stan at 8. Back then I couldn’t get enough of Rude Boy but over the years my favourites have changed and now I’d say it’s probably G4L- which I have been singing all day!
2. ANTI- Remember coming into school being miserable all day because I was disappointed with Work but this album is stunning and so is Work- definitely the Rihanna song no-one knew we needed. Higher is probably my favourite one from Anti at the moment with LOTB a close second. 3. Loud- so many bops! Purely for having so many incredible pop songs, this is definitely the album I’d like to hear the next one sound most like. S&M and Man Down are pop masterpieces and Love The Way You Low (Pt II) is one of her most fragile and vulnerable ballads. 4. Good Girl Gone Bad- like Loud this just delievered the pop bangers we needed. Shut Up & Drive and Rehab are probably the ones I revisit and Umbrella is still an absolute smash of a pop song. This album paved the way for what we know and love from Rihanna now which is why I placed it further up the list. 5. Unapologetic- Stay is up there in my favourite songs of all time and Diamonds was the perfect lead. Although the two ballads are my favourites I do have soft spots for Pour It Up, Right Now And What Now. 6. Talk That Talk- didn’t quite have the singles impact the last album had and isn’t as memorable, unique or inspired as her other choices but isn’t last because of it producing We Found Love and Where Have You Been 7. Music Of The Sun- nice album but really nothing special. If It’s Lovin’ That You Want really is an undeserved flop. 8. A Girl Like Me- last place but by no means a bad album. Why Break It Off wasn’t a single will always perplex me but We Ride, SOS and particularly Unfaithful are all great songs |

Thought I'd mention this here - HMV have a lot of Rihanna vinyls in on sale atm on their website if anyone is interested, including a few of the earlier ones!

Rated R quite easily. I view it as being her magnum opus amongst a load of patchy or bad albums.

People ranking MOTS below AGLM obviously didn't listen to her first two albums in full and probably think AGLM is better by default because it's not a debut album.
But excuse me y'all, MOTS has BOPS for days. |

Revised ranking now:
1. ANTI 2. Unapologetic 3. Rated R 4. Talk That Talk 5. Good Girl Gone Bad 6. A Girl Like Me 7. Loud 8. Music Of The Sun I've got into more of AGLM for the the first time, lmao. And I've never really thought of it before but despite how amazing she was that era 6/11 songs of Loud is shit |
