Well I can't remember the last time the A-list was unchanged in a new playlist. They could have at least got rid of Ellie Goulding and moved something up. Oh well, hopefully we'll get a proper clearout next week.

I'm glad Clean Bandit / Baby haven't been taken off the A-list. I assume it getting a new peak in the midweeks helped it stay on the A-list.

wow the playlist is looking super stale at the moment. This feels like one of the slowest christmases for music ever, considering last year we got quite a few new releases on the first week of January.

To be fair to them the music industry is on it's arse. We have experienced a very poor year in terms of interesting releases. All the good tracks of last year flopped because the record companies probably don't know how to promote them in this new age of streaming or they're just ignored by the mainstream media as being too old! I really hope this year things pick up abit!
No wonder Radio 1 are spending more time looking back at oldskool hits with Greatest Hits programming and classic Dance anthems hours, etc..... The new stuff isn't good enough! This post has been edited by gavindeejay: 4th January 2019, 12:37 PM |

Not sure how people were expecting it not to be stale when there has been literally one major release in the last ~3 weeks (and that one has been added).
Nice to see Flipp Dinero added as well anyway, insert comment about the predictable hate it'll get on here if it becomes a hit etc. |

There’s no point releasing throughout December really as Christmas songs take over with regards to the charts.

Don't think I ever heard that Eminem track, shame they've taken it off already. Great to see Sunflower Bean and The Vaccines both moving up though - I've heard the latter, in particular, on a number of different Apple Music/Spotify playlists; so it'd be great if it/they could hit the T100 somehow (wishful thinking, I know).

What a slow week, it isn't just the lack of new entries for me it's more the stake A list songs that have been played enough and the new sounds in the B list which are being held back by lack of progress up the playlist.
I mean the A list could remove Ariana, Ellie, George, Halsey, Jess, Zara & Sigrid! |

It's possible there may be more than that though. I think Calvin Harris will be added straight to the A-list and maybe Sam Smith's collaboration with Normani could go straight to the B-list.
